The night is deep.

Miao Feishuang had taken a bath and was sitting in the living room reading a book.

Listening for the man’s footsteps, whether they would sound.

Lu Yuhao said he was going to prepare for having a child tonight, and that procedural tone made her feel apprehensive.

But, it was she who provoked him.

She admits it.

But he, like a lofty tyrant, made her wait to be summoned, and she felt upset.

She didn’t know how long it had been, but when the footsteps did sound and the door opened, Miao Feishuang felt like she wanted to escape.

But his skin was tan, making it hard to see the blush.

"You’re back!" Miao Feishuang grasped onto a topic.

Lu Yuhao headed towards the bathroom, "Mm."

"Are you hungry? Should I cook something for you?" Miao Feishuang asked him.

"Not for now." Lu Yuhao closed the bathroom door.

Miao Feishuang picked up the book again, nestled into the sofa, and continued reading.

Even if she couldn’t concentrate, it was still a good way to pass the time.

The sound of running water kept her mind restless.

She felt like a stream winding towards the horizon, flowing endlessly, knowing its destination was the sea but not knowing when it would arrive.

When Lu Yuhao finished his bath and came to her, he bent down and picked her up, her book dropping to the floor in surprise.

"Yuhao..." she said nervously.

Lu Yuhao carried her to the bedroom, responding to her with a nod.

"You drank..." she whispered.

Even after his bath, she could still smell the alcohol on him.
