Chapter 804: Chapter 88: Increased Gem Pool Output and the Snake Woman Hela’s Knightly Training (Part 3)

Su Li waved to her: "Then my good friend, goodbye for now. I need to go back to prepare for the upcoming territorial festivities. Take care of your Gem Pool; I’ll be deploying all my troops to maintain order in the arena."

Vidage confidently waved his hand: "Go ahead and deploy them. With Jade Annual Rings guarding here, even a gust of wind blowing a leaf won’t escape our watchful eyes."

So, Su Li nodded to Hela, checked the time—it was already dusk, the golden sunlight stretching everyone’s shadows long. He had deliberately waited for a long time so that Hela could spend more time in this Spice Garden.

"Let’s go back to the manor. You can come back here bright and early tomorrow morning, but don’t become too enamored with this place. Remember, you have a home at Bauhinia Manor too."

Hela shyly lowered her head. Going back with the Lord this time was not as simple as just returning to the manor for rest; she had to accompany the Lord at night. Yet, she still followed closely behind Su Li, her cheeks flushed as if burning.

Upon returning to Bauhinia Manor, Su Li didn’t go to the Fantasy Cottage. Mainly, Su Li enjoyed experiencing various species, whereas Ingrid had no interest in such things. In her treehouse, there was already a Green Dragon, and Aeliria was still asleep.

Bringing another Snake Woman over would completely disrupt Ingrid’s peaceful solitude, so Su Li took Hela to the bedroom in the castle.

Without a doubt, it was an environment more akin to Hela’s homeland, the garden in full bloom, fragrance permeating the entire night sky.

Passing the Moon Crown Tree, Hela couldn’t help but look up at this extraordinary Spirit Plant drenched in moonlight and asked, "Lord, is this a specialty spice of the territory?"

Standing beside her, Su Li gazed upward. The Moon Crown Tree already resembled a pavilion-like canopy, especially at night, its massive crown overshadowing the entire courtyard. Even looking up from the mountain below the castle, one could see the dazzling, moonlight-like white blooms covering the tree.

Hela had previously gazed at this tree from afar, but this was her first time approaching it so closely, giving her a genuine sense of home. Any part of this manor, this castle, she could go to if she wished.

Su Li stroked his chin and said, "Your question really stumps me. Is it considered a spice? Its fragrance is indeed penetrating, invigorating one’s lung. But we primarily take its Moonflower for quenching fire; no one has actually eaten it."

Its scent is somewhat like that of locust tree blossoms, and its appearance similar but much more beautiful. Moreover, it doesn’t bloom during the day, and no one dares to damage this tree. After all, it’s closely tied to the fate of the entire territory, so nobody truly knows whether it counts as a food ingredient.

But if locust blossoms are considered famous culinary ingredients, then, theoretically, the Moonflower—which is superior in every aspect: more fragrant, more delicate—should certainly be an even higher-grade ingredient.

Hela cautiously asked, "May I try some?"

"Of course." Su Li smiled, waved to her, and said, "Go ahead, it’s fine to pick some. Every night, the Dawn Nun picks dozens of flowers to deliver to the dwarves. They worry that picking the flowers will cause some disaster or loss to the territory, but I think, just like Reya’s teachings: the Dawn Goddess encourages generosity, yet opposes greed. Moderate harvesting can lead to thriving military equipment development, but over-harvesting leads to significant disaster. So I always encourage appropriate taking from the Moon Crown Tree, just like our territory: it shouldn’t be frail, unable to bear any pressure, but instead it should be as resilient as a reed, able to firmly root itself no matter how many disasters or challenges there are, standing tall and robustly growing."

Selanweir stood beside him, with bright eyes, gazing at Su Li with hands clasped: "Lord, you truly are an outstanding leader; your governance philosophy is genuinely profound."

Su Li laughed softly, embracing her slender waist, whispering warmth into her ear, "Flattery won’t work; tonight you’ll be shouldering the main practice tasks!"

Then, Su Li directly took action, removing her armor, the sound of the breastplate falling carried a suggestive echo, a spring breeze blowing by, causing Selanweir’s delicate skin to shiver slightly.

Before Selanweir could feel shy, Hela was already so red-faced she couldn’t lift her head, truly not expecting that while she was still studying the Moon Crown Tree, the two individuals beneath had already boldly begun the knight’s practice.

Selanweir’s breath was particularly clear in the quiet night, moonlight pouring over the bloom of the Moon Crown Tree. Hela’s emerald-colored snake tail curled ornate curves around the tree trunk.

At some point, Su Li had already unfastened the lilac flower-laden belt around her waist; the sensation of heat on his fingertips made her whole body quiver with tiny tremors.

"Lord," coral-colored blush rapidly spread across her delicate cheeks, her snake tail instinctively curling, causing her skirt hem to wrinkle in layers.

Su Li’s kiss landed on her slender water-snake waist, and surprisingly, the diamond-shaped crystal chips shifted into a gradual rose hue with rising body heat.

Moonlight reflecting over the overlapping forms, the unique suppleness of the snake tribe allowed Hela to bend herself into improbable arcs. As she hooked the tree trunk with the tip of her tail and leaned back, her drooping tresses resembled a moonlit stream, her waist and belly shimmering with pearl oyster luster scale. With each breath, they revealed softer snow-white skin beneath.
