"What kind of establishment uses a name like that?"

Hearing this, the middle-aged man felt as if he’d been granted a great pardon. He immediately stood up and called over his men.

"Do it!" the middle-aged man shouted at his men.

His men, however, hesitated, not daring to strike him.

"Hmph? Why aren’t you moving?" the middle-aged man roared at them.

"Boss, I... I can’t!" one of his men stammered in a panic.

"So my words mean nothing now? Are you fucking trying to get me killed?!"

The middle-aged man shot to his feet and slapped one of his men across the face.

Then, the man grabbed an iron rod and brought it down hard on his own arm.

CRACK!

"AHH!"

The man screamed, his forehead beaded with sweat. He tossed the iron rod aside and knelt before Chen Qingdi once more.

"Thank you, Lord Imperial Physician, for your merciful gift!"

"Lord Imperial Physician, may you live for ten thousand years and your might shake the four seas!"

After kowtowing three times to Chen Qingdi, the man left with his followers.

"Mr. Ye, you and Mrs. Wen have been wronged all these years."

"Come and live with me from now on. I swear I’ll never let anyone bully you again!"

Chen Qingdi said with great seriousness.

"Let’s eat first. We can talk about this later,"

Mrs. Wen said. Chen Qingdi obediently sat down at the table.

Seeing all his favorite dishes spread across the table, Chen Qingdi felt a warmth spread through his heart.

"Mrs. Wen, your cooking hasn’t changed a bit. It’s still as delicious as ever," Chen Qingdi praised as he ate.

"If you like it, then eat more. From now on, whenever you want my cooking, just come over and I’ll make it for you."

A blissful smile spread across Mrs. Wen’s face, her eyes filled with affection as she looked at Chen Qingdi.

She had long considered Chen Qingdi her own son. Just being able to see him again was enough to make her content.

"Mr. Ye, there’s something I want to ask you."

"I remember you being such an experienced driver, Mr. Ye. How could you have gotten into an accident and hit someone?"

Chen Qingdi voiced the question that had been weighing on his mind.

"Qingdi, since you’re back, I might as well tell you. It’s been eating me up inside!"

Mr. Ye put down his glass and began to recount the story of the accident.

By the time he finished, Chen Qingdi was seething with rage and shot to his feet.

"A mere second-rate family in Jinghai City dares to treat Mr. Ye’s family this way? The Nie Family deserves to be annihilated!"

Chen Qingdi said coldly, murderous intent rising within him.

"Mr. Ye, Mrs. Wen, I’m full. I have something to take care of, but I’ll come see you both again tomorrow."

After saying his goodbyes to Mr. Ye and Mrs. Wen, Chen Qingdi walked out.

"That’s right. If you’re busy, go on ahead. Your sister is here with us, so we’ll be fine."

Mrs. Wen and Mr. Ye saw him out before returning to their apartment.

As Chen Qingdi walked out of the residential complex, a Rolls-Royce pulled up in front of him.

After Chen Qingdi got in, Chen Yuan, who was in the driver’s seat, asked a question.

"Emperor’s Physician, where to now?"

"Find out where Nie Tianlong is. I want a full report in three minutes!"

"Chairman, I’ve found him. The file on the Nie Family’s young master, Nie Tianlong, has been sent to your email."

"He’s currently at the Golden Splendor Club, which is one of the Nie Family’s businesses. Word is they’re involved in some very shady enterprises behind closed doors."

A smirk touched Chen Qingdi’s lips.

"Good. That will be all."

After hanging up, Chen Qingdi spoke to Chen Yuan.

"To the Golden Splendor Club."

Then, Chen Qingdi made another call.

This one was to the Jinghai City Supervision Bureau.

The two women stepped aside in unison, gesturing respectfully for Chen Qingdi to enter.

After entering the club, Chen Qingdi had just stepped into the elevator when he heard a furious roar from behind.

He turned to see a Doberman Pinscher behind him.

The Doberman’s owner was Madam Gui, a woman draped in a mink coat and wearing a large jade bracelet.

"Do you have any idea how much my baby is worth? Just look at you. I can tell you could never afford to pay me back!"

Madam Gui planted her hands on her hips and pointed a finger in Chen Qingdi’s face, scolding him.

At her words, Chen Qingdi shot Madam Gui an indifferent glance.

"What are you talking about? I never touched your dog."

"Your dog was the one that started barking at me."

Hearing this only made Madam Gui more unreasonable.
