Chapter 702: Chapter 663: Not an Oxygen Tank, But a Space Capsule
Lili looked at the mirage in the distance, feeling it was an illusion. "Brother Zhao Rong," she said, "mirages are illusions. They aren’t real."
Zhao Rong took a telescope from his Magic Ring and handed it to her. "Miss Lili, take a closer look. That’s not a mirage. There really is a Magic Academy there. It’s located deep within this maze of loess mountains, making it look very ethereal and unreal."
Lili took the telescope and immediately peered into the distance at the object she had dismissed as a mirage. The sight startled her. She exclaimed in disbelief, "Brother Zhao Rong, no way! Hidden within this desolate, ravine-filled loess plateau, there’s actually a Magic Academy... And it looks very modern!"
Hearing Lili’s words, the beautiful Yu Lan stepped forward and took the telescope from her. After a careful look, she said with astonishment, "I never would have thought there’d really be a Magic Academy in such a remote place. Brother Zhao Rong, we have to go investigate."
Xuelian also nodded, agreeing that they needed to visit the Magic Academy to get to the bottom of things. She said to Zhao Rong, "Brother, since we found student IDs from the Magic Academy on those two demons... we should pay it a visit. We might even find some clues about the Killer King, Wang Jingang."
Hearing Xuelian, Zhao Rong made the decision. "Alright, let’s set out now and investigate that Magic Academy." With that, he prepared to lead everyone on foot to the nearby academy.
However, after walking for three hours through the loess plateau’s labyrinth of gullies, they felt the Magic Academy was still incredibly far away.
Lili, feeling parched, gazed at the endless succession of loess hills. She felt like they would never arrive. "Brother Zhao Rong, at this rate, when will we ever get there? Look at the mountains in the distance, one range after another, with no end in sight."
Yu Lan was exhausted from the climbing. Panting, she said, "Brother Zhao Rong, can’t you buy an off-road vehicle from the Paradise Shopping Cart so we can drive the rest of the way? Walking like this is exhausting, and I’m so tired. Look, I’ve already worn a small hole in my shoe."
Xuelian imagined a different solution. "Brother Zhao Rong, it would be great if you could buy some kind of ’Loess Boat’ online to carry us forward."
The assistant had an even wilder idea. "Brother Zhao Rong, why don’t you just buy an Apache helicopter? It could take us straight to the Stone Village Magic Academy. That would be faster and more convenient, without all this trouble."
Just as everyone was fantasizing about a way to travel through the loess hills, a package suddenly fell from the sky, landing right next to Zhao Rong.
Picking up the package, Zhao Rong smiled at the three women and the assistant. "We don’t need a car, a boat, or a helicopter," he said. "I’ve bought an excellent mode of transportation that will let us travel through these mountains quickly and comfortably."
Hearing that Brother Zhao Rong had already procured a vehicle, the three women and the assistant asked curiously, "Brother Zhao Rong, what did you buy? Hurry up and let us see!"
Lili stepped forward and began to open the package with a smile. "Brother Zhao Rong must have bought a UFO! Only a UFO could carry us at the speed of light to the Stone Village Magic Academy, the one that looks so much like a mirage."
With that, Lili opened the package. When Yu Lan, Xuelian, and the assistant saw what was inside, their eyes went wide with amazement. "Brother Zhao Rong, what on earth is this? The more I look at it, the more it looks like a positive-pressure respirator."
Yu Lan frowned at the oxygen tank-like object. She stepped forward, pressed a button, and took two breaths. Feeling refreshed, she said, "Brother Zhao Rong, this is clearly an oxygen tank. Why did you buy this? We’re not going diving."
Xuelian was also confused. "Brother Zhao Rong, are you planning to lead us to a nearby Underground Dark River and have us dive our way to the Stone Village Magic Academy?"
The assistant, with a comical flair, slung the positive-pressure respirator onto his back and donned the mask. "This thing is just a positive-pressure respirator. I remember in junior high chemistry, our teacher taught us how to wear one to prevent hydrogen sulfide poisoning."
Just as the three women and the assistant concluded that the item was an oxygen tank to be carried on one’s back, Zhao Rong corrected them. "Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, Assistant, you’re all wrong. This isn’t a positive-pressure respirator or an oxygen tank. It’s a space capsule."
When they heard that the oxygen tank before them was actually a space capsule, they were all stunned.
Lili turned the so-called space capsule over in her hands, asking in puzzlement, "Brother, this oxygen tank is so small. How can you say it’s a space capsule? Are you telling me all five of us are supposed to squeeze into this thing and fly?"
Yu Lan also shook her head. "Brother Zhao Rong, I think I know how to use this thing you bought from the Paradise Shopping Cart!" she said, a fantasy taking shape in her mind. "We’re supposed to sit on top of this oxygen tank and fly through the air, right?"
Xuelian’s imagination ran even wilder. "Brother, are you going to take us all the way to outer space and then back down to the Stone Village Magic Academy? Isn’t that taking the long way around, not to mention using a sledgehammer to crack a nut?"
The assistant chimed in with his own wild guess. "Brother, I think the three ladies are all wrong. Only I, the assistant, am smart enough to figure it out! This thing is a submarine, right? It can navigate the nearby Underground Dark River."
As everyone was making wild guesses, Zhao Rong finally told them the correct answer.
Upon hearing it, they were all so surprised they fell to the ground.
