Chapter 669: Chapter 630: Evil Ghost Collector
When a package suddenly appeared in Zhao Rong’s arms, the three women immediately rushed forward. "Zhao Rong," one of them asked excitedly, "did you already buy a weapon from the Paradise Shopping Cart to fight the Polar Evil Spirit?"
Lili eyed the package, her imagination running wild. "Zhao Rong, you must have bought a Yin and Yang Sorcerer King! To deal with a ghost king like this, only a Yin and Yang Sorcerer King would be strong enough!"
Yu Lan offered her own guess. "Zhao Rong, I watched a lot of Hong Kong ghost movies when I was a kid. To deal with powerful evil spirits, you need a Bagua diagram! I bet you bought an incredibly powerful Bagua diagram to suppress the Polar Evil Spirit!"
Xuelian’s eyes darted back and forth. "Zhao Rong, I bet the weapon you bought is just like the Dinosaur Terminator Gun from the dinosaur world—something specifically designed for this kind of enemy. I even have a name for it! It must be the Polar Evil Spirit Terminator Gun, right?"
As they were all speculating about what weapon Zhao Rong might pull from the package, the Polar Evil Spirit across from them erupted in laughter. "You humans are on the brink of death and still struggling in vain," it mocked. "I’ll tell you now, it doesn’t matter what advanced weapons you buy. Whether it’s from a Taoist or a Sorcerer King, nothing can harm me, the Polar Evil Spirit! I have been cultivating in this land of ice and snow for over a hundred years. Not only is my Mana boundless and my kung fu supreme, but my endurance is also incredible. Don’t even think you can kill me with any weapon."
Just then, Zhao Rong opened the package and took out... an oil worker’s safety helmet.
When the assistant and the three women saw that the weapon Zhao Rong had purchased from the Paradise Shopping Cart was nothing more than a simple safety helmet, they were so stunned they collapsed. The assistant scrambled up, his face a mask of disbelief. "Zhao Rong, what are you playing at? We thought you bought some advanced weapon to fight the Polar Evil Spirit, but you came back with a hard hat? Is this some kind of joke?"
Lili was particularly unimpressed. "Zhao Rong, if you were worried about getting your head bashed in, you should have bought a military-grade steel helmet, like the ones the American army uses. Those are bulletproof and stab-resistant! Why would you buy a flimsy thing like this? It offers no real protection at all!"
Yu Lan stepped forward, took the helmet from Zhao Rong, and placed it on her own head. A cold sensation spread through her. "Zhao Rong, are you sure this ordinary-looking helmet is the secret high-tech weapon that can defeat the Polar Evil Spirit?"
Xuelian took the helmet next, examining it closely. "I don’t see anything special about this, Zhao Rong. Why did you spend so much time and effort buying it from the Paradise Shopping Cart? Are you just planning to wear it to show off in front of us?"
Hearing their misunderstandings, Zhao Rong took the helmet back, placed it firmly on his head, and pressed a red button. He aimed his head toward the distant Polar Evil Spirit and began to explain. "Assistant, Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, you don’t understand. This isn’t an ordinary safety helmet. Its official name is the Evil Ghost Collector."
The name immediately piqued their interest. "Zhao Rong, hurry and tell us! What’s an Evil Ghost Collector?"
Lili’s eyes widened as she stared at a blue light now emanating from the red helmet on Zhao Rong’s head. "Zhao Rong," she asked, "does it kill the Polar Evil Spirit with some kind of powerful light?"
"Since its name is the Evil Ghost Collector," Yu Lan speculated, "it must be able to suck the Polar Evil Spirit into it. Then it probably dissolves its soul into pus, erasing it from this world so it can never be reincarnated!"
Xuelian, her imagination running wild again, declared, "Zhao Rong, I don’t think that’s a helmet at all. It’s a flying saucer! You’re going to trap the Polar Evil Spirit inside it, and then the saucer will take off and fly it into space. You’ll let it drift around until it gets sucked into a black hole and explodes!"
As they all made their wild guesses, Zhao Rong chuckled. "Assistant, Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, you’re all wrong. Let me show you the real answer..."
Before he could finish, the Polar Evil Spirit burst into another round of mocking laughter. "You humans are completely brain-dead! You think you can defeat a ghost like me with a shoddy little helmet? You must be dreaming!"
But before the spirit could finish its taunt, Zhao Rong pressed a second, green button on the helmet. "When I pressed the red button," he said with a smile, "it activated the blue light. Now that I’ve pressed the green button, it will activate the red light."
The words had barely left his mouth when, beside the blue glow on his helmet, a red light flared to life. It was immediately followed by orange, yellow, green, cyan, and violet lights, until his head was crowned with a brilliant rainbow.
When the Polar Evil Spirit saw the Seven-Colored Radiance bloom from Zhao Rong’s head, it scoffed, "Human boy, you really are amusing. Do you think you can scare me just by lighting up your head with a rainbow? Do you think you’re a peacock, able to frighten away enemies by spreading your tail feathers?"
However, before the spirit could finish speaking, Zhao Rong commanded the lights above his head. "Red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, violet—fire in unison!"
At his command, the seven beams of light shot from the helmet and streaked toward the Polar Evil Spirit. The moment the Seven-Colored Radiance struck its target, a deafening explosion ripped through the air.
