Chapter 1175: Chapter 1177: I Want to Talk to You Alone
Her daddy merely said one sentence: "Cecilia, the honor of the Onassis Family will be defended by you."
After that, her daddy turned away and left.
That extremely disappointed look before he left deeply pierced Sophie.
She suddenly sat upright, wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, and only then did she realize the sky outside the window had already turned into the fish belly whiteness.
From yesterday to now, how long had she slept?
Lifting the quilt and getting out of bed, Sophie went into the restroom, took a look at her own facial color, and it was truly terribly haggard.
Even though she had slept for so long, she still hadn’t recovered.
Done washing up, she left the bedroom.
Derek saw her come out and let out a sigh of relief, "Good morning Miss Cecilia, last night you didn’t have dinner, and I didn’t dare disturb you. Are you hungry now? I’ll order breakfast for you."
"Morning, Derek."
Sophie nodded, followed him to prepare, and she sat down in the living room, rubbed her forehead, and thought of Andres.
"Derek, how is Andres?"
Yesterday his hand was injured, how is the situation now?
Derek set down the phone, "Miss Cecilia, don’t worry. Doctors were called yesterday to remove the bullets and bandage the wound, it’s not serious; as long as he recuperates well, it’s fine."
Sophie thoughtfully nodded, the waiter delivered breakfast, and after breakfast, she planned to return to Country F.
Unexpectedly, an accident occurred.
Thomas Shannon arrived.
Sophie didn’t want him to recognize her, so she instructed Andres to keep his mouth shut, just as before, continue as usual.
Ever since that time, after hearing Thomas Shannon’s extremely disgusted command to get away, she didn’t want to see Thomas Shannon again.
During those days at the warm spring hotel, it was even more certain that she absolutely should not have any involvement with him.
Even if Isabel had some relation with him before, that was Isabel, not her.
Whatever agreements they had, whatever collaborations, none of it concerned her.
Before Thomas Shannon entered the suite, Sophie returned to the bedroom.
Andres was receiving him, the two of them speaking in the living room, Sophie could faintly hear some of it.
"Mr. Andres, what’s wrong with your hand?"
Thomas Shannon picked up the water cup, sipped a bit, his gaze falling on Andres’s wrist bandaged with gauze.
Andres’s smile paused slightly, but he brushed it off, "A little wound, got bumped yesterday."
Thomas Shannon hooked his lips into a smile, "Mr. Andres, make sure to take care of yourself, if you make any mistakes, Cecilia will be angry with me, she’ll blame me for not taking care of her uncle."
Andres lowered his head, a trace of darkness flashed in his eyes, perhaps there’s still a turning point in the matter.
He smiled and said, "Cecilia has been spoiled by us since little, hope Young Master Shannon will forgive. There is something I’d like to discuss with you alone, is that convenient?"
All the bodyguards around were Sophie’s people, Andres speaking like this naturally means he wants them to clear the field.
As long as Thomas Shannon agreed, there was no reason for Sophie’s people to stay.
"I wonder if Mr. Andres wants to discuss public affairs or personal matters?"
"Both public and personal matters."
Thomas Shannon put down the water cup thoughtfully, nodded slightly, "Charlie, you guys go out for now."
"Yes, Young Master."
Andres, full of imposing air, spoke to the bodyguards, "All of you, leave as well."
The bodyguards stood still, evidently not listening to him.
Andres shouted angrily, "Impudent, are you trying to rebel?!"
The bodyguards exchanged looks, and then, they finally left the suite.
Once the door of the suite shut, Andres finally felt at ease, he accompanied with a smile.
