Chapter 1060: Chapter 736: The Grand Finale [07] Emily Bay Exposes the Loulanel Plan, Internet Frenzy (Part 1)
A note on the blueprint, handwritten, with bold and forceful strokes, every character brimming with familiarity.
Nora Scott paused for a moment.
"Quinn?" Oliver Scott leaned over for a glance, then his eyes suddenly lit up, "Is it the blueprint for the entrance of Mechanism City? Did Quinn really memorize it all?"
"Yes."
Taking the note, Nora Scott curved her lips and began to browse the blueprint.
It is said that Pedro Langley didn’t give Michael Quinn sufficient time to research. Michael Quinn just examined it closely once and returned the blueprint to Pedro Langley before rushing to catch a flight.
— Even Nora Scott, who had witnessed Michael Quinn’s extraordinary skills since childhood, didn’t expect Michael Quinn could truly accomplish this.
No more TV, no more games; once confirming it was this particular blueprint, Nora Scott went to the study to video call Hardy Rivers, chatting until late at night.
Finally, due to the inconvenience of video chatting, Hardy Rivers agreed to come over the next day for a detailed discussion.
The following day.
Still in her dreams, Nora Scott was awakened by the doorbell ringing. Half-asleep, she glanced at the time; only six o’clock. Thinking Hardy Rivers wouldn’t come this early, she decided to ignore it and turned over to continue her nap.
Unexpectedly—
"Bang bang bang!"
"Bang bang bang!"
"Bang bang bang!"
The relentless door knocking, determined to banish all of Nora Scott’s sleepiness, made her get out of bed angrily and head to the small study.
Then—
She saw Fátima, who had unloaded her cargo, standing in front of the small study’s bookshelf with a copy of "Heavenly Craftsmanship" in hand, her posture upright and vibrant, heroic and spirited, yet her subtly curved lips seemed inexplicably soft.
"Even pregnant, you’re this temperamental?" Fátima glanced sideways.
"Noise you made?" Nora Scott frowned.
If it was Fátima, she might not even be able to get angry.
"Yes." Fátima closed the book and put it back in place. "Rivers mentioned your Mechanism City entrance blueprint arrived, I happened to come back to Fenton City overnight, so I came straight over."
Nora Scott gave her a once-over, "Aren’t you still in confinement? Where’d you go off to?"
"It felt suffocating to stay home." Fátima said, "I went to Andongel for some errands. Passed by Amos Sullivan’s place, he prepared piles of food for us, asked me to bring you a share when I came back."
"Just such a short distance, and he didn’t personally deliver it." Nora Scott suddenly felt a bit disgruntled.
"He’s busy too. Working on official affairs and can’t find the time." Fátima chuckled and then said, "Mentioned he’d come to the wedding."
"..."
Nora Scott shrugged.
She pointed to her bedroom, asked, "Want to rest?"
"No need. I want to see the blueprint." Fátima moved her wrist slightly, her lip curling into a smile, sly and bold, "I’ve got two months off before the wedding, might as well solve this matter beforehand."
Nora Scott startled, "Two months?"
She’s prepared "twenty years" for this...
Little senior sister isn’t giving her even two years?!
"How long do you plan to drag this out? Lax and lazy, shouldn’t indulge you." Fátima looked at her, then glanced down at her watch and said calmly, "Three minutes to freshen up, I’ll wait for you in the adjacent study."
"Three minutes?"
Nora Scott choked a bit.
Fátima glanced over.
"..."
Holding onto her morning grumpiness, Nora Scott headed to the bathroom.
She decides that if she gives birth to a little firecracker, it’s all Fátima’s fault.
Ten minutes later.
Accustomed to being carefree, Nora Scott took ten minutes to finish tidying up, then slowly sauntered to the next study.
Fátima was at the desk looking at the blueprint, seeing her come in, didn’t think it odd, nor did she criticize her.
"I’ve researched the blueprint and materials you brought from Loulanel Village." Fátima pointed at the stack of blueprints, raising her eyebrows at Nora Scott, "I asked Loxley, you have nothing besides a variety show now, I’ll help you build the model without disrupting Rivers’ project’s progress."
Nora Scott: "..."
Darn.
Where’s her husband?
Unexpectedly not at home to help her deal with Skinner Morton, the little senior sister!
Seeing Nora Scott’s disgruntled expression, Fátima laughed, extended a hand to lift a finger, and poked Nora Scott’s brow, pushing back slightly.
"Don’t be lazy, we’re all waiting." Fátima hinted thoughtfully, "More effort has been put into this than you might think."
Vaguely sensing something.
Nora Scott narrowed her eyes, "What’s the secret behind the Loulanel plan? Did you find the project details?"
"Found them."
"What?"
"Until it’s publicly disclosed, it’s always a secret, even you must keep it confidential." Fátima paused, then handed her the blueprint, "But you won’t regret getting involved."
"..."
Nora Scott contemplated her inner feelings.
Unexpectedly found herself not just unreceptive to accelerating the research, but rather harboring a subtle anticipation.
— Fátima always carries such a magic.
— April Thomason privately mentions to Nora Scott that there’s a sense of belief with Fátima.
So, pushing aside her morning grumpiness, Nora Scott dutifully took the pile of blueprints, perked up, and joined Fátima in researching the entrance mechanisms.
Hardy Rivers arrived in the morning, and upon seeing Fátima, his initial worry about the blueprint’s progress instantly dissipated.
Having spent years in the same troop, their mutual understanding and trust were basic.
...
After confirming the target, Fátima basically stayed at Cloudwater Haven.
Pedro Langley returned from a business trip to find Nora Scott being put to "overtime" in the study by Fátima, intending to have a proper talk with her. But before he could speak, Nora Scott told him not to disturb her, leaving Pedro Langley dazed, almost suspecting Nora Scott had been possessed.
— This is his lazy and vastly idle wife?!
"Sis! Brother-in-law! Miss Morton! The first episode of ’Star’s Married Life’ is airing, the banners have arrived, do you want to watch together?" Oliver Scott came to the door, holding a bunch of banners, asking them.
"Banners?" Fátima glanced outside, seeing the banners in Oliver Scott’s hands, slightly stunned, and looked at Nora Scott with an odd gaze, "Yours?"
"Yes."
Nora Scott nodded.
"Did you have Shaw imitate them?" Fátima asked.
Nora Scott: "..."
She never knew that even her little senior sister was prejudiced against her.
There’s no saving this world.
