KEISHA’S POV
I saw him before he even knocked. Wellㅡ not saw him exactly. I kinda just felt him.
For a second, I contemplated not answering, my heart was in my throat and my hands trembled. This was such a bad idea.
But still, I found myself twisting the doorknob and coming face-to-face with him.
Something immediately twisted in my guts, making me utterly aware of how long it had been since we had been this close. "What do you want? Anyone could wander around this side of the pack."
His hands found it’s way into his pockets, cheeks slightly flushed from the cold. "Can I come in first?"
Biting down hard on my bottom lip, I stepped aside and watched him stumble into my home. Then I shut the door, whirling around to face him. "Are you going to give me an explanation or what?"
He just stared at me, his lips parted. "Can’t say you didn’t miss me, princess." Something about the sultry way he said it made my breath hitch. The smirk that tugged at his lips when he noticed my silence sent my heart racing immediately.
Fuck him.
Without thinking, I wrapped my hands around his neck, pulling him down to my height before I crashed my lips down on his.
He let out a grunt against my lips, hands gripping my ass tight as he backed me up against the wall.
My pussy was already pooling, a whimper crawling up my throat when his tongue traced my skin, licking a stripe up the side of my neck.
"Oh goddessㅡ" My eyes fluttered shut and my body arched into his touch, eager and desperate for more.

The doorknob rattled.
Immediately we both froze, necks snapping to the direction of the door. Another rattle.
My throat dried. What was that?
Thenㅡ "Oh my god, this fucking boot!" I heard Nadia grumble about something on the porch, scraping something against the wooden floor.
My eyes flew wide open and I felt the world spin in my line of vision.
Fuck!
"Go, go, go!" I whispered yelled at Dane, pushing him into the kitchen while I immediately adjusted my shirt, hoping my cheeks weren’t still flushed.
When I opened the door, Nadia walked right in, kicking off her boots as she settled down on the chair with a grunt. "Oh god, those boots are literal hell." She turned to me with a frown on her face.
I was standing off, fingers fidgeting with the hem of my shirt as I struggled not to look in the direction of the kitchen. "What are you doing here?"
Nadia searched through her bag for something. "Rose said she saw this movie and apparently, it’s so good. Way too good that she won’t shut up about it. So I brought thisㅡ" She pulled out a packet of popcorn and some drinks, flashing a smile at me. "Let’s watch it. Been a while since we had movie night."
My brain short circuited and I almost bashed my head against the wall. The bond thrummed with an energy I had yet to ever feel, reminding me that Dane was hiding in the next room.
Goddess, what would she say if she saw him here? What kind of excuse could I even give?
"Uh, Nadiaㅡ I’m kinda busy right now. I have an early day at work." I croaked, hoping she would get the hint and leave.
She didn’t.
Instead, she leaned back. "Keisha. Just sit down, will you? You look like you’re about to pass out."
Instinctively, I rubbed at my face. Did it really look that bad? "I’m not. Just tired."
The look on her face said she didn’t believe that.
Her gaze flicked around bored, landing on the kitchen door. "Huh, wait here. I’ll go get some water and we can start." She made to stand but I rushed forward, panic in my eyes.
"No!" I shouted.
Nadia looked scared, recoiling slightly. "Huh?"
I immediately cleared my throat and sat next to her. "Sorry— I’m just so excited to start the movie. We’ll get water later, I’ll do it myself. Let’s start."
She looked unconvinced but nodded slowly, turning on the TV and picking the movie that Rose had told her about. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
The movie droned on with Nadia giggling sometimes while I tried to match her energy. But all the while, I couldn’t stop my leg from tapping against the floor as I glanced at the kitchen.
Was he still in there?
The bond said he was, but I felt the itch to go check.
"Ughㅡ" Nadia groaned, snapping me out of my thoughts as the movie credits rolled. "That was actually very nice."
I allowed myself to nod. "Yeah, it was."
She stretched, yawning lightly and I immediately took the cue to stand up. "You should go home, it’s late."
Her expression changed into amusement. "Oh please. You’re acting like you’re expecting someone."
A little scream went off in my head and I tried to keep my face passive. "Just tired."
She grabbed her bag thankfully. "Well, I’ll be going now. Orin said to say hi by the way."
The name made me stiffen, gaze flicking to the kitchen door on instinct. "Orin?"
Nadia smiled at me. "Yeah. The cute guard. You guys looked so cute together. I could totally imagine the both of you making outㅡ"
My cheeks flushed and I immediately interrupted her.
Oh goddess, Dane was probably listening to all this. I wasn’t sure why I cared. Maybe common courtesy.
"Goodnight, Nadia. That’s enough."
She rolled her eyes but eventually walked out, bag slung high on her shoulder.
I rushed to the window, watching her walk down the path, her face illuminated by the glow of her phone screen.

"Orin, huh?" Strong arms encircled my waist, making me stiffen instantly.

"What do you see in him? Can he make you feel like this?" His palm pressed flat against my boob over my shirt, flicking over the hardened nipple.
"Oh godㅡ" My breath hitched and I rubbed desperately against him.
Suddenly, there was another knock on the door. The both of us froze again. But not from fear. Because we could sense who was at the door this time.
