Chapter 323: Chapter 168: Hu Yue’e
A woman in disheveled clothes was fleeing through the woods.
She was covered in wounds, blood dripping from her fingertips. She kept glancing back over her shoulder as she ran.
Seeing no pursuers behind her, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
But when she turned her head forward again, a face—tongue out, leering hideously—was right in front of her.
The woman froze on the spot, and then he licked her face.
"AH!!!"
Her shriek had barely rung out when, to her surprise, the man in front of her also yelled "Ah!" before launching a kick that sent her flying.
"Screaming, screaming, always screaming!
"Why weren’t you screaming last night?
"When you’re supposed to make a sound, you’re like a block of wood, a corpse! But when you’re not supposed to, you scream like this!"
Unable to contain his fury, the man rushed forward, raining slaps down on her indiscriminately.
The woman shrieked in pain, instinctively covering her face and begging for mercy:
"Please... stop hitting me... I beg you... Please... don’t hit me anymore..."
"Alright, alright."
A figure emerged from behind a large tree, cradling a sword in his arms:
"We’re lucky to see a woman in this godforsaken place once every few weeks. If you beat her to death, who are the brothers supposed to have fun with?
"It’s not too late to kill her after we find a new one."
Hearing the Swordsman’s words, the man finally stopped.
But his anger still lingered. The woman, thinking the beating was over, instinctively lowered her hands from her face. As a result, in a fit of rage, he slapped her again.
The blow made the woman see stars.
The Swordsman frowned. The man who’d hit her was also stunned for a moment, but finally said with a resentful huff:
"She dared to run away. The more I think about it, the angrier I get!
"The absolute nerve of her!!"
"Alright, alright, calm down."
A teasing voice drew nearer. The speaker was a short old man walking with his hands clasped behind his back.
He was hunchbacked and had an amiable smile, but following behind him was a large, fat man.
He was tall and carried a great iron hammer. The old man barely reached his thigh, yet the large man followed him step for step, utterly docile.
Upon seeing the old man, the other two bowed in greeting:
"Boss."
The old man waved his hand, walked over to the woman, and grabbed her chin, chuckling softly:
"Still planning to run?"
His expression was kindly, but the woman’s face was deathly pale. She shook her head again and again.
"No, I won’t run anymore..."
"Good. I’m very glad you’ve decided to be obedient.
"But you weren’t so obedient before...
"And I, Master Mo, am a man who is clear about rewards and punishments. Therefore, punishment must be given where it is due."
As he spoke, he took one of the woman’s hands.
The woman’s hand trembled uncontrollably as the old man pinched one of her fingers:
"You won’t blame Master Mo if I break one of your fingers, will you?"
The woman shook her head frantically, tears streaming from her eyes.
The old man ignored her, but just as he was about to exert his strength, a voice suddenly called out from the trees above:
"You’re a cruel bastard, old man."
The voice was so sudden that everyone on the ground, except for Master Mo, looked up.
But the treetops were completely bare. Forget a person—there wasn’t even a single leaf.
As they stared in confusion, they heard the rush of a mighty wind.
Everyone immediately looked toward the sound, only to see a colossal, black-and-white beast that had instantly appeared before them.
A massive paw shot straight toward Master Mo.
For a moment, Master Mo was dumbstruck. Perhaps his mind had gone blank, as he actually asked:
"Was that you talking?"
Snapping back to his senses, he hastily raised his arms to block.
With a dull THUD, the furry giant paw slammed viciously into Master Mo’s chest, sending him flying.
But Master Mo was no pushover. He flipped in mid-air and landed on his feet, sliding back more than ten feet. Just as he was about to breathe a sigh of relief, he saw the black-and-white Exotic Beast leap into the air, a Palm Technique descending upon him from above.
[Great Black Heaven God Palm] First Palm: [Vajra Tower Throwing]!!
Master Mo was completely stunned. ’This fucking beast knows Martial Arts! How ridiculous can you get!?’
He hastily raised his hands as if to hold up the sky, attempting to block the palm strike directly.
However, this strike was on a completely different level than the previous one.
If the last palm strike was a gentle breeze on the face, this one was a thunderclap.
There was a wet SPLAT.
Master Mo was slammed directly into the ground by the palm strike. The earth boomed and trembled, and a massive paw print was left where he had stood.
The men standing nearby were utterly bewildered.
’What in the world is happening?’
’A beast just jumps out and starts attacking us?’
’Master Mo was just smashed clean below the horizon!’
’When they dig him out, will there be anything left to use?’
In truth, it was only natural that Fang Dabao could produce such an effect with Vajra Tower Throwing.
After all, it had the advantage of its massive size, not to mention it was attacking from above.
Just imagine a giant panda falling out of the sky. Even if it didn’t know Vajra Tower Throwing, having it land on you wouldn’t end well.
The remaining men were at a loss.
Faced with a beast like this, should they attack it together? Or should they turn and run?
While the men were still weighing their options, Fang Dabao gave them no time to react.
Having taken down an enemy in a single move, Fang Dabao felt its training had been a success.
It rolled on the spot and swept out a short, stubby black leg. The Swordsman was knocked to the ground, and Fang Dabao pinned his head with a single paw.
The poor man didn’t even have time to draw his sword before Fang Dabao crushed his head.
