The sky burned crimson.
Buildings collapsed endlessly beneath the shockwaves of the battle above. Every clash between the Queen and the winged woman distorted reality itself, bending the air like heat rising from burning metal.
Ren could barely keep standing.

Another explosion shattered the academy tower nearby. Dust and fire filled the air completely. Kaiser grabbed Ren’s arm immediately and pulled him backward.
"We need to move."
Ren resisted.

"And she’ll destroy the planet if you stay here," Kaiser snapped.
Far above them the Queen’s crimson chains wrapped around the winged woman’s body and violently slammed her through the city in a single motion. The angelic woman crashed across multiple buildings before stopping. Blood spilled from her lips now.
Yet her golden eyes remained cold.
"She gets worse every timeline," the woman muttered quietly.
The Queen appeared above her instantly. Black flames exploded around her dress while crimson lightning spread across the sky in every direction.
"You talk too much."
She raised one hand. A gigantic crimson spear materialized above the heavens. The pressure radiating from it alone made mountains crack apart in the far distance.
Ren’s eyes widened completely.

Then one golden chain changed direction unexpectedly and shot toward Ren. Fast. Too fast. The Queen moved instantly but the chain barely sliced across his shoulder before she could intercept it completely.
A tiny wound. Just a small cut.
Yet the moment blood appeared everything stopped.
Silence filled the entire world at once.
The Queen stared at the blood on Ren’s shoulder. Her expression became empty. Dangerously empty, like something vast and cold sliding into place behind her eyes.
Kaiser’s face paled completely below.
