Chapter 490: Chapter 461 Word for Word Weeping Blood_1

April 27, 2013

Early morning, Zhou Ning drove alone to the bureau. Before turning into the back courtyard, he noticed a large crowd gathered in front of the Public Security Bureau’s entrance and slowed down to glance over.

In the midst of the crowd, there appeared to be a small, disheveled old man kneeling, holding up a large white sign covered densely with a mass of writing—specific content was impossible to make out from this distance.

Zhou Ning was somewhat puzzled. Could it be a petitioner or someone seeking justice?

Normally, these people would head directly to the municipal government. It was odd for someone to come here, but seeing the old man’s utterly despondent expression made Zhou Ning’s heart tremble. It felt like in the next moment, the man might crash into the stone lions at the bureau’s entrance.

The honking of a car horn from behind snapped Zhou Ning back to reality, making him realize that he had stopped. He hurriedly turned on his indicator and entered the parking lot in front of the forensics department from the back.

He didn’t go to his new office on the fourth floor but briskly walked to Room 302. As soon as he entered, he saw Mr. Zhao vividly recounting something, and when Sun Gaotie and the others saw Zhou Ning come in, they quickly all stood up.

"Boss!"

"Zhou Xiaozhou, why did you come here? Did you see someone kneeling at the main gate, seeking justice?"

Zhou Ning nodded. Seeing Mr. Zhao ask like this, it seemed he knew more details.

"When I came in, I saw it. Do you know what’s going on?"

Mr. Zhao nodded and pulled out his phone, on which there was a photo capturing the entire content of the sign. He hastily sent the photo to the display screen and introduced it.

"I got here at seven sharp, stopped to check out the commotion. The reception office staff hadn’t arrived yet, and there weren’t many onlookers. The old man set up a camera in front of himself and had a sign around his neck, which I looked at closely.

He is He Hongjiang, a villager from Shuaijia Village under Jinping Town, Xinghua City, which is part of Qindao district. His daughter, He Jiarong, was a high school athlete in the 12th class of grade 2010 at Xinghua City No.5 Middle School, excelling at long-distance running with outstanding academic performance. Normally, track and field coach Liu Kei managed her training and daily routine.

Due to increasing age and the extensive energy consumption from physical training causing nutritional deficits, the coach from No. 5 Middle School, Liu Kei, requested our family to rent a place near the school to accompany and take care of her daily needs. To better care for our daughter, in June 2012, we rented in the Salt Company Community across from No. 5 Middle School and arranged for He Jiarong’s mother to accompany and look after her.

On Friday, March 29, around the usual practice time of 5:00 PM, training ended at 7:00 PM. The evening was arranged for a get-together to celebrate one of their school’s track team kids who had won the gold medal in the Golden Gate International Half Marathon.

At 8:30 PM, He Jiarong’s track teammate Tang Jiangtao took her away on his motorcycle, and at the Agricultural Bank, they withdrew 200 yuan in cash (confirmed by Agricultural Bank surveillance), then Tang Jiangtao took He Jiarong on his motorcycle to Zhenwei Fine Dining Restaurant.

He Jiarong walked to the Jin Si Gourmet Night Snack Shop across the street and played with her phone until around 10:26 PM, when she was picked up by a black sedan. Only then did Tang Jiangtao take his motorcycle alone from Zhenwei Fine Dining Restaurant and closely followed the black sedan.

At 10:53 PM, Tang Jiangtao picked up He Jiarong on his motorcycle and returned her to the No. 5 Middle School dormitory. Afterwards, at 11:08 PM, He Jiarong fled from the school and, on the Jinping Avenue segment near the Yu Chi Famous Car Store, was chased by the black unlicensed sedan. She desperately ran towards Jiulaofeng Park.

At 11:12 PM, my daughter reappeared at the entrance of the Yu Chi Famous Car Store and retrieved her belongings she’d dropped in her flight (bank cards, cash, and the house keys) before running home.

At 11:35 PM, He Jiarong appeared at the gate of the Salt Company Community. She didn’t open the door to enter but threw the wallet and keys through the anti-theft gate’s fence, wedging them between the two doors. She didn’t enter her home, indicating that He Jiarong was already under someone’s control by then, with someone lurking in the stairwell of our building, blocking her.

Xinghua City Public Security Bureau’s investigation report states that He Jiarong’s time of death from falling was 11:37 PM. I have retained the community surveillance footage, and upon identification, what fell at 11:37 PM was not He Jiarong’s body, but her shoes that came off during her struggle with the assailant.

The murderers and their protectors conspired to create a suicide scene, intentionally throwing He Jiarong’s shoes from the rooftop at 11:37 PM to simulate the time of her falling. The shoes slid past the surveillance cameras of the Salt Company’s courtyard.

Then, waiting until late night when no one was around, they cleaned up the murder scene and disposed of the body again. The forensic doctor’s autopsy results don’t align with the facts; there was blood on the wound on He Jiarong’s head, and the right side of her skull near the ear was fractured but had no bruises.

The scratches on her shoulder and arms, as well as the rupture wounds near the base of her ears, showed no traces of bleeding. She landed on the right side of her head, and after falling, her arms were raised high. There were no bloodstains at the scene of the fall—these are all indications that the murderer first killed her, then waited for the body to stiffen before disposing of it to create the illusion of suicide by jumping.

After the murder, they also took my daughter’s phone, deleted the memory data, and discarded it under a vehicle near Yunaming Car Store. The phone was found on March 31, 2013.

Furthermore, He Jiarong was brutally raped and humiliated (the blood on her ruptured hymen left on her underwear is proof), robbed, and then pursued to silence her. I’ve repeatedly approached Zhuquan Police Station, Xinghua City Public Security Bureau, and Xinghua City Criminal Police for filing a case but was rejected every time.

On April 16, 2013, when I went to Zhuquan Police Station again demanding to file a case, Chief Zheng met with me but still stated that a case could not be opened and suggested I seek justice from the school authorities.

From April 16 to April 18, I went to Xinghua City No.5 Middle School for three consecutive days seeking to meet with the school leaders, but was refused each time. Not only did the school refuse to meet me, but in collusion with the Xinghua City Criminal Police, on the afternoon of the 18th, they arranged for police from the 110 emergency service to violently beat me, causing fractured ribs, and under the pretext of attacking police, took me into custody at the county detention center to prevent me from reporting the situation to higher authorities.

The murderers, under the protection of Xinghua City Public Security Bureau, are disregarding human lives, neglecting their duties, paying lip service while covertly obstructing, deliberately covering up, and behaving atrociously. I plead with the municipal bureau leaders to investigate this matter seriously and reveal the true cause of my daughter’s death!"

Zhou Ning stared at the screen, following along with Mr. Zhao’s narration, he too finished reading the entire content. The characters on the white board were crooked and uneven; it was heart-wrenching that a peasant was able to pen such words.

From his descriptions, the forensic examination indeed had issues. The rigidity from a fall wouldn’t result in arms being raised, nor would it leave no blood at the scene after such fractures—these were all discrepancies.

While thinking, the door was pushed open, and Xu Dayuan strode in, followed by Liu Yufei and Fang Mu. The expressions on all three faces were unified, all extremely serious.

Glancing at the content of the complaint whiteboard on the screen, Xu Dayuan looked towards Zhou Ning.

"It seems you all have seen what happened in front of the bureau, so I’ll keep it brief. The Petition Office has already reported to Mr. Hu and ordered our brigade to reinvestigate this case. He Hongjiang is making a statement at the front, get ready and give me a list, we’ll be heading to Xinghua City shortly, but we need to send someone to check on He Hongjiang first."

Without needing a command from Zhou Ning, Sun Gaotie had already raised his hand.

"I’ll take Mr. Pang for the check-up. I have the suitcases ready, so there’s no need to pack, I can leave anytime, Boss, take me with you this time, I don’t want to stay behind."

Zhou Ning nodded and glanced at everyone.

"Mr. Zhao, Mr. Yang, Mr. Qu, and Mr. Sun will come with me. Zhu Xingxing, you lead the rest staying behind. I’ll call Master and Mr. Xia later and ask them to help you out here for a while."

Zhu Xingxing pouted and shot a glare at Sun Gaotie, but she knew that this trip was not going to be easy to handle since almost a month had passed and the autopsy and investigation were problematic.

"Alright, whenever you need something sent for inspection, we’ll coordinate it from here," she said.

Zhou Ning hummed in response, looking towards Xu Dayuan.

"Leader, are you heading this operation?"

Xu Dayuan shook his head slightly, looking worriedly at Liu Yufei and Fang Mu.

"Yufei and Fang Mu will lead the team, I have to go to Rudong. Zhu Xingxing and the others don’t need to stay behind, give me this team, there’s a criminal case on the other end that’s feigning a car accident, it’s also quite troublesome."

Upon hearing this, Zhu Xingxing’s eyes immediately lit up, her previously gloomy mood vanished completely.

"Director Xu, I can depart at any time."

Zhou Ning thought for a moment; among the remaining people, only Zhu Xingxing and Mr. Zhao were ready to take on the task. He quickly took out his phone.

"I should still call Master back. I’ll have Momo go with you. She’s good at crime scene simulations for traffic accidents. If you’re short on people, call on Zhu Zuozhang and his team to help."

Xu Dayuan nodded.

"Alright, that’s settled then. Zhu Zuozhang and his team will also join since car accidents are complex and there are many bodies, but the scene has been well controlled. Everyone, let’s get moving quickly—after all, facing two such big cases at once is a lot of pressure. Get everything ready, both teams will depart together in half an hour."

With that, Xu Dayuan left briskly with his team, and Sun Gaotie and Mr. Pang followed behind.

Everyone began to prepare the necessary items; Mr. Zhao called the driver, Mr. Wang.

"Master Wang, do you need to prepare luggage for the trip? We don’t know how many days we’ll be away. If the timing isn’t convenient, we can drive ourselves."

"Don’t worry, Mr. Zhao, I’m ready to follow at any time, everything for the trip is already in the car. Do we need to bring any special equipment?"

"Hehe, there’s quite a bit of equipment. I’ve made a list. I’m heading downstairs now; you come with me to collect it," replied Mr. Zhao as he quickly left the door. Zhu Xingxing, excited, still tried to restrain herself and waved at Mr. Hen.

"We also need to hurry and prepare. It’s our first time going out, and we can’t lose face for the Boss. I’ll go find Team Leader Zhu."

Saying this with hurried, small steps and a sense of urgency, she quickly left. Zhou Ning returned to the office, making a call to Liu Yongxin as he walked.

"Hey, Master, are you still at Qin University?" freeωebnovēl.c૦m

"Yes, what’s up? Did something come up with a case?"

Zhou Ning quickly relayed both issues to Liu Yongxin, who reacted promptly, already having put him on speakerphone. After listening to Zhou Ning, Momo promptly said:

"Don’t worry, I’ll head back with Mr. Liu right away. On the way, I’ll grab his clothes, and my stuff is already in the car."

"No need to prepare. There’s a backpack in the office with a change of clothes, just hurry back now. Can you make it in twenty minutes?"
