Chapter 1807: Chapter 1033: Escape (Part 3)

"Mmm..." fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

Sato Shouta was startled by the sudden scene, and his drunkenness instantly sobered up halfway. It wasn’t until a familiar voice whispered in his ear, "Don’t scream, it’s me!"

After confirming that Sato Shouta wouldn’t scream again, the hand behind him slowly let go.

Seeing Nishimura Yuna appear in the men’s restroom, Sato Shouta first thought that he had drunkenly wandered into the wrong restroom and immediately apologized, "Sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean it, next time I’ll..."

"Shh—" Nishimura Yuna’s face was full of tension, speaking urgently and quickly, "No time for nonsense, I came specifically for you, something’s wrong outside, I think... I think we should run."

"Run?" Sato Shouta was confused, then shivered violently. His eyes cleared visibly, "The Ghost has come, where is it?!"

"Are you really that clueless, or just pretending? Can’t you see, Yang Xiao and Jiu Shan Sha Yue are in cahoots, and they’re starting to guard against us. I suspect they’ll make a move against us soon!" Nishimura Yuna was almost driven to despair.

"Impossible, Mr. Yang wouldn’t harm me." Sato Shouta shook his head vigorously. He had survived thus far thanks to Yang Xiao; he didn’t trust Jiu Shan Sha Yue, but he trusted Yang Xiao.

"Wake up! On the way here, Yang Xiao organized the stuff in the car, including that briefcase. Inside was high-purity sedative, the kind that could kill. If they’re not planning to target us, why would he need that? Who else is worth killing?" Nishimura Yuna was certain Yang Xiao and the others had found a way out tonight, planning to silence them by murder.

After all, Qingshui Cangjie and Heize Lin were mob members with considerable influence, and the two of them knew these deaths were connected to Yang Xiao and Jiu Shan Sha Yue, so killing them to keep them quiet was the safest plan.

She had seen the skills of Yang Xiao and Jiu Shan Sha Yue; both were experts, and they stood no chance against them head-on. Their only chance for survival was to escape now, while Yang Xiao was absent.

Even if Jiu Shan Sha Yue discovered them, she wouldn’t easily catch up. After all, the two of them, at least one could escape, which was why Nishimura Yuna sought Sato Shouta’s cooperation.

Throughout the journey, Nishimura Yuna had been preparing to escape. She had observed that Jiu Shan Sha Yue wasn’t too familiar with the village’s routes, and the area was filled with dilapidated, abandoned empty houses. As long as she found one to hide in, she wouldn’t easily be found. Yang Xiao and the others had a tight schedule to return to the hotel, so they wouldn’t search for her at all costs.

Of course, once Yang Xiao and his companions left, she might not survive the night even if she broke free from the situation, but she knew clearly that if she didn’t run first, she would certainly die.

"What are you hesitating for? I’m trying to save you. If you don’t run now... you’ll regret it!" Nishimura Yuna urged.

"I’m not leaving, but... if you want to go, go ahead; I won’t stop you." Sato Shouta said.

"Fool! You’ll regret it." At those words, Nishimura Yuna cursed and stopped hesitating. She had already delayed enough.

She had used going to the restroom as an excuse to come out. Although she fancied her acting skills, if she took too long, Jiu Shan Sha Yue would definitely get suspicious. Time was running out for her.

After threatening Sato Shouta to keep his mouth shut, Nishimura Yuna walked to the restroom door, put her ear against it to listen for a few seconds, found nothing unusual, and then pushed open the door, planning to sneak around the back of the restaurant to escape.

But as the door opened, the scene in front of her made her go cold as ice. There stood Jiu Shan Sha Yue with a can of cold beer, leaning against the wall, taking small sips, waiting for them.

When their gazes met, Nishimura Yuna felt a sense of impending doom.

The eyes weren’t threatening, nor angry; just a faint expression, and she even suspected that her own reflection wasn’t in Jiu Shan Sha Yue’s pupils at all.

"Get back and eat, your food’s getting cold." Holding a can of beer, Jiu Shan Sha Yue turned and walked toward the dining table.
