Chapter 361: Chapter 348: I Even Have a Picture of Them on My Phone

"Don’t worry. Some things have to be faced sooner or later,"

"It’s like how I couldn’t find a Martial Arts instructor before, but that’s all solved now, isn’t it?"

"Running away from it all is useless."

"It just makes you live in fear every single day."

"I’m going to become one of the pillar-level female experts of our Great Xia Empire, you know."

"If I cower and hide from something as small as this, I won’t get very far in the future."

Sun Canxing said fearlessly.

But there was one thing she hadn’t told her best friend, Qi Shulei.

The man standing beside her was none other than the one hailed as Blue Star’s number one expert.

In the face of such absolute power, it didn’t matter who the other party was.

So-called power and wealth were less than bubbles before an expert of his caliber.

Tonight, Sun Canxing had invited Chu He over

for a very simple reason: to slap some people in the face, hard.

And Chu He, understanding Sun Canxing’s intentions, hadn’t refused and came along.

A moment ago, Sun Canxing had called Chu He "teacher,"

but in her heart, she had never truly thought of him as one.

She felt she was unworthy—it wasn’t that Chu He was unworthy, but that she herself was.

At the very least, her current self was not qualified to be Chu He’s student.

If other people found out that Chu He had a student like her,

it would probably cause him to be ridiculed as well.

"Fine, fine. If you’re so insistent, then I’ll help run interference for you tonight."

Qi Shulei sighed.

She knew all too well how much her best friend had suffered and how wronged she had been.

Back when she learned that Sun Canxing had offended Yu Qiming,

Qi Shulei had tried to get her family to step in and mediate.

But when Qi Shulei’s father brought up the matter,

Yu Qiming hung up on him directly, showing no respect whatsoever.

Qi Shulei was also from a rich family, but she was in a completely different league from someone like Yu Qiming.

But even so, Qi Shulei was still willing to stand up for Sun Canxing.

Just as Sun Canxing had said, the two of them were best friends.

"You two go ahead and chat. I’m going to walk around for a bit."

Chu He had nothing in common with these kids.

He couldn’t understand much of what the young people around him were discussing.

For instance, shoes that cost thousands or even tens of thousands,

traveling in groups after their graduation exams,

going to some ’poetic and distant place.’

Or lipstick, perfume, getting their hair permed and dyed.

Having finished their graduation exams today, these young people had shed their status as ordinary students.

They were adults now.

Many of the things their parents and schools had forbidden them from doing before,

they could now do as they pleased, without restraint.

Every young face was beaming with excitement,

but they still had no idea what the future held for them.

After a lap around the inside,

Chu He discovered that while this place looked like a large farm in a remote mountainous area,

every building within was lavishly decorated.

This was especially true of the large villa in the very center.

Its interior was arranged like a museum, filled with all sorts of antiques.

Any single piece taken from it would be a priceless masterpiece.

Chu He now believed something Sun Canxing had told him earlier:

that the owner of this large farm—the girl Sun Canxing was at odds with—

might have an even more impressive background than Yu Qiming.

Yu Qiming could probably produce such items, but he wouldn’t display them like this.

It was like having ten million and doing something that costs ten million.

Versus having ten billion and doing something that costs ten million.

Those were completely different concepts.

"Who are you? Who let you in?" Suddenly, a voice called out from within the large villa. Chu He looked in the direction of the voice and saw a few young men and women. Although their clothes and style weren’t top-tier luxury brands, they were still quite expensive—clearly beyond the means of an ordinary family. These young people obviously came from notable backgrounds.

"Am I not allowed in here?" Chu He asked.

"Of course not! Do you have any idea how much just one of these items costs?"

One of the girls sized Chu He up from head to toe.

This was a common attitude among people from well-off families:

first, they judge a person’s status and worth with their eyes.

And the easiest way to make that judgment was by the price of their clothes and accessories.

But this girl couldn’t identify the brand of Chu He’s clothes at all.

They were either an extremely rare luxury item,

or just cheap, common junk.

"Where’s the security?

A place this important should have guards."

Another young man frowned, looking around.

Perhaps hearing the commotion, a security guard quickly walked over and said apologetically, "I’m sorry, there are just too many people here today.

Several of my colleagues were sent to direct guests to parking, and we also have to keep an eye on fire safety and other issues."

"Those are just excuses.

If even one item from in here were stolen, not even your head would be enough to pay for it,"

the young man scolded.

"Yes, yes, you’re right. My mistake," the security guard apologized profusely.

He then walked up to Chu He and said politely, "Sir, please step outside. Because the items in here are so valuable, this area is not open to the public. I hope you understand."
