Chapter 252: Ch-252 The Real Madara.
On the Fourth Division battlefield, through the combined efforts of Naruto, Gaara, Onoki, and all the other Allied Shinobi Forces, all the reanimated Kages were finally sealed.
Except for Mu, the Second Tsuchikage.
He had escaped—or to be more precise, half of his body had escaped from the battlefield and was likely still somewhere nearby. But because of Mu’s terrifying ability to erase his presence and slip past even the sensory ninja’s detection, he could be hidden anywhere among the shattered rocks and dust-covered cliffs.
A cold wind swept across the battlefield, carrying the smell of dirt, smoke, and blood.
Then, suddenly, Mu appeared atop one of the rocky cliffs overlooking the battlefield.
The moment he materialized into the real world, Naruto and many of the sensory ninja within the Fourth Division immediately sensed his presence.
"There!" one of the sensory ninja shouted, pointing toward the cliff.
Naruto’s head snapped upward, and everyone else quickly followed his gaze.
Mu stood there silently on the edge of the cliff, his expression as emotionless as ever. Without hesitation, he formed two hand signs and slammed his palm against the surface of the rocky ground beneath him.
The top of the cliff cracked.
And from behind Mu, a coffin slowly rose from the stone.
The moment Naruto and the Allied Shinobi Forces saw that, their expressions changed.
Mu was summoning another reanimated ninja onto the battlefield.
Damn it... not again.
How could Naruto, Gaara, or Onoki allow that to happen?
Without wasting even a second, they immediately moved to stop Mu.
Naruto shot forward, Gaara’s sand surged across the battlefield, and Onoki flew into the air, all of them rushing toward the cliff with urgency.
But by the time they had located Mu’s exact position and moved to stop him, Mu had already finished the summoning.
It was too late. frёeωebɳovel.com
The lid of the coffin slowly creaked open.
For a brief moment, the battlefield went silent.
Then, from inside the coffin, a man stepped out.
He had long black hair that fell down his back, and he wore dark red armor over his body. His presence alone felt suffocating, as if the air itself had grown heavier the moment he appeared.
As soon as Onoki saw the man, he froze in midair while flying toward Mu.
His eyes widened.
His entire body went stiff.
Naruto and Gaara, who had already rushed close to Mu’s position, immediately noticed that Onoki had suddenly stopped moving.
Naruto looked up toward him in confusion.
"What happened?" Naruto asked. "Do you know this person? Why have you frozen like this?"
Gaara also narrowed his eyes and looked toward the newly summoned man once again.
After hearing Naruto’s question, Onoki slowly spoke, his voice filled with disbelief.
"He..." Onoki muttered. "How can he be here?"
His eyes remained fixed on the man in red armor.
"If that person is claiming to be Madara... then he is the real Madara standing here in front of us."
As soon as Naruto and Gaara heard this, both of them were visibly shocked.
Their eyes widened as they looked back toward the man.
At that moment, they finally understood.
The person who had been claiming to be Madara until now was not the real Madara Uchiha at all.
He had only been impersonating him.
But Onoki had personally seen Madara in the past. He had fought in the era when Madara was alive. If anyone could recognize him, it would be Onoki.
And Onoki would never make a mistake on a matter like this.
Meanwhile, Madara himself slowly stepped out of the coffin completely.
The wind lightly moved his long black hair as he calmly looked around the battlefield.
His eyes swept across the destroyed land, the countless shinobi gathered around him, and finally paused on Onoki, who was still hovering in midair with a frozen expression.
Then Madara turned his gaze toward Mu, the man who had summoned him.
Looking at him, Madara asked in a calm yet heavy voice, "Are you the one who used the Reanimation Jutsu to bring me back and reanimate me?"
Mu answered, "I am not the one who reanimated you. Someone else did, and I am just under his control, same as you."
Madara’s expression did not change at all.
Instead, he simply let out a cold snort.
"Hmph. Can someone really control me, Madara Uchiha?"
The moment Madara said that, suddenly, his body was enveloped in white light.
The same happened to Mu.
And not just them.
Across the Fourth Division battlefield—and across every battlefield where the reanimated shinobi were fighting or had already been sealed—the same white light began to appear.
Every reanimated ninja was covered in it.
The sealed shinobi.
The fighting shinobi.
All of them.
Under that white glow, their bodies slowly began to crack and chip away like crumbling stone.
Small pieces of their bodies drifted away into the air like ash.
Clearly, the Reanimation Jutsu had been reversed.
It was being released.
And because of that, they could no longer remain in the real world in their reanimated bodies.
Naruto, Gaara, Onoki, and all the nearby Allied Shinobi Forces could only stare as the strange light spread across Madara and Mu.
As soon as Madara felt himself being pulled away from the real world, his eyes narrowed sharply.
He immediately looked toward Mu.
"What is going on?" Madara asked.
Mu remained expressionless as he answered, "I do not know what exactly is happening. But it seems something bad must have happened. That is why he ordered me to reanimate you this quickly."
Madara frowned slightly.
That answer did not satisfy him at all.
Everything around him was chaotic.
He had only just arrived, and already the technique keeping him here was collapsing.
Why had he been summoned as a reanimated ninja instead of being properly revived?
What exactly had gone wrong?
There were too many unanswered questions.
No matter what happened... I cannot return yet.
Currently, his biggest priority was simple.
He had to remain in the real world.
Otherwise, he would be dragged back into the Pure Land.
Without wasting even a moment, Madara immediately began forming hand seals.
His fingers moved with incredible speed, so fast that most of the shinobi watching could barely even follow them.
Then, the moment he finished—
The white light surrounding Madara disappeared.
The cracks and chipped pieces across his body stopped.
The portions of his body that had already begun to crumble immediately restored themselves, returning to normal as if nothing had happened.
Madara stood there once again, completely intact.
Mu, however, did not know how to stabilize the Reanimation Jutsu on himself, nor did he have any desire to remain in this world any longer.
The same was true for most of the other reanimated shinobi as well.
Even those who would have happily stayed behind to spread more chaos—people like Sasori, Deidara, and many of the other battle-loving or destruction-loving reanimated ninja—did not know how to stop themselves from being pulled back to the Pure Land.
One after another, their bodies continued to chip away beneath the white light until they completely disappeared.
The reason all of these reanimated shinobi were being forced back to the Pure Land and freed from their reanimated bodies was because Kabuto had lifted the Reanimation Jutsu on the First Division battlefield.
At that moment, Kabuto stood there in a daze.
Inoiki was holding him tightly from the back of his neck, forcing him to look toward Itachi.
Kabuto’s expression was empty.
His body remained frozen.
Meanwhile, one of Itachi’s eyes had turned completely white, and his body was also covered in that same white light.
Small cracks had begun to spread across his reanimated body as well.
He too was being pulled back toward the Pure Land.
Clearly, the whitened eye was because Itachi had used Izanami.
He had trapped Kabuto inside the endless loop of the illusion and forced him to release the Reanimation Jutsu.
A faint wind passed through the battlefield, carrying away flakes of ash-like dust from the dissolving bodies of the reanimated shinobi.
As shinobi from the different battle divisions saw the reanimated ninja finally disappearing, loud cheers began erupting across the battlefield.
Some shouted in relief.
Some fell to their knees in exhaustion.
Others simply stared upward, unable to believe that the nightmare was finally ending.
But Inoiki did not have the luxury to celebrate.
His expression remained serious.
Without even a moment of hesitation, he immediately teleported away from the First Division battlefield.
He did not even get the chance to speak to Itachi one last time or say a few final words before he disappeared.
Clearly, Itachi also understood that something very serious must have happened for Inoiki to leave in such urgency.
And whatever it was, it had to be related to the revival of the Ten-Tails.
