Chapter 250: Ch-250 The Borrowed Power.

The snakes surrounding Kabuto like living armor lunged toward Inoiki with sharp hissing sounds, their mouths wide open and fangs gleaming under the dim light. But when they were only a few feet away from him, all of them suddenly came to a complete halt.

A sky-blue light outlined every single snake, making it look as though they had been frozen in place by invisible chains. It was clearly Inoiki’s psychokinesis at work, stopping their movement instantly.

At the same time the snakes stopped, Inoiki moved.

His body blurred forward with explosive speed, passing through the immobilized mass of snakes in an instant. A faint blue trail followed behind him, and for a brief second everything became still.

Then, all at once, the snakes were cut apart.

Their severed bodies fell to the ground with wet thuds, twitching violently as blood splashed across the broken floor.

While Inoiki cut through all the snakes, the robes Kabuto had been wearing were now completely gone, revealing his entire body. From his abdomen, a massive snake protruded outward, easily as thick as two or three arms combined, its body fused directly into his stomach area. The snake moved slightly, its scales scraping against the ground with a sickening sound.

Looking at Kabuto in this form, Inoiki could not help but narrow his eyes slightly.

"Your transformation from a kind and handsome-looking man to this disgusting life form..." Inoiki said, his voice calm but filled with visible disgust. "I don’t know what I should say."

As soon as Kabuto heard that, the smile on his face did not disappear even in the slightest. In fact, it seemed to widen.

"The outer appearance doesn’t matter," Kabuto said. "What matters in this world is strength. And the strength running through me right now is more than enough to overpower any disgust or hatred toward my outer appearance."

The giant snake protruding from his abdomen hissed as if agreeing with his words.

Inoiki shook his head after hearing Kabuto’s words.

The giant sword floating horizontally behind him suddenly began to morph. Its massive blade split apart into hundreds of kunai-sized short knives, each one gleaming faintly under the light. They hovered in the air for a brief moment before immediately shooting forward like a swarm of insects, rushing toward Kabuto from every direction to shred him into pieces.

As soon as Kabuto saw the flying knives coming toward him, he did not hesitate in the slightest.

The snake protruding from his abdomen suddenly twisted and morphed, taking the shape of Suigetsu. The moment Suigetsu’s form appeared, it immediately made a few hand seals.

The next second, Inoiki’s knives passed through Kabuto’s body.

Kabuto suffered no damage whatsoever.

The blades completely passed through him as if he were not even solid. His body rippled unnaturally, almost like a mass of flowing water, while the knives continued onward and embedded themselves into the walls and floor behind him.

It did not take long for Inoiki to understand what was going on.

Kabuto was using Suigetsu’s Hydrification Technique.

After all, Kabuto had incorporated the genes of all those people on whom Orochimaru had done his research. Because of that, using abilities like this was not that surprising.

However, Inoiki knew the weakness of this technique.

Immediately, ten of the flying knives changed direction in midair and became coated in crackling lightning chakra. Blue arcs of electricity danced across their blades, producing sharp snapping sounds as they shot toward Kabuto once again.

This time, the moment those lightning-infused knives passed through Kabuto’s watery body, the Hydrification Technique instantly broke apart.

Kabuto’s body convulsed violently for a split second as the electricity spread through the water-like form. The fluid texture of his body disappeared, turning solid once again.

And the instant that happened, all the other knives swarmed toward him.

Blade after blade tore into Kabuto’s body, slicing open his shoulders, arms, chest, and abdomen. Blood sprayed into the air as deep wounds appeared all over him, and the sound of flesh being cut echoed in the cave.

Even then, Kabuto only received severe injuries. It was nowhere near enough to completely tear him apart.

Inoiki was not that surprised by this.

Kabuto was currently in Sage Mode, and the defense of his modified body was abnormally high. Damaging him with only normal flying blade attacks was simply not possible.

Still, the shredded injuries covering Kabuto’s body clearly showed just how terrifying Inoiki’s psychokinesis had become.

But as soon as the knives separated from Kabuto’s body, Kabuto suddenly opened his mouth wide.

From inside his mouth, another Kabuto crawled out.

The scene looked grotesque and unnatural as the new Kabuto emerged from the torn body like a snake shedding its skin. The injured body was discarded immediately, collapsing to the ground while the new Kabuto stood there completely unharmed.

Kabuto had used the Orochimaru-style Substitution Technique and shed his injured body like old skin.

As soon as Kabuto came out after using that technique, he did not wait for the knives to attack him again. His body immediately sank into the ground below.

He had used the Mayfly Technique, one of the abilities White Zetsu could use, and Inoiki instantly felt it.

Inoiki was just about to control the ground where Kabuto had submerged and tear apart the entire earth itself.

But just then, suddenly, bones started growing out of nowhere.

Under the dim light of the cave, thick white bones erupted from the ground, walls, and ceiling, spreading in all directions like a forest coming to life. Long jagged spikes burst upward with cracking sounds, tearing apart stone as they rapidly expanded.

In only moments, the entire area around Inoiki had turned into a terrifying forest of bones.

The spikes surged toward him from every direction. Some grew upward beneath his feet, while others lunged from the walls and ceiling, trying to skewer him completely.

If he had been an ordinary person, he would have instantly been turned into a hedgehog.

However, that did not happen.

The moment the bones entered the area around Inoiki, they slowed down unnaturally. A faint sky-blue pressure covered the surroundings, and the bones growing from the ground beneath him stopped within inches of his body.

Some of the spikes cracked apart the moment they tried to continue growing. Others bent unnaturally before breaking from the pressure. Suppressed by Inoiki’s psychokinesis, they were not able to grow at all.

Or perhaps they were still growing and simply breaking apart from the inside.

Inoiki did not know.

Nor did he care.

His face remained cold as he looked at the endless bone forest surrounding him.

"Hmph," Inoiki said coldly. "If you really think that just this bone forest is enough to hinder me, then you are wrong."

As soon as he finished speaking, the flying knives suddenly changed shape once again. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

The hundreds of short blades rapidly joined together in the air, combining and morphing into several giant four-bladed shuriken. Each of them began spinning at incredible speed, producing sharp humming sounds that echoed through the cave.

The next second, they shot forward.

The giant spinning blades tore through the bone forest like hurricanes of steel. Massive chunks of bone were shattered apart instantly as the spinning shuriken ripped through the white forest in every direction.

Bones exploded into fragments and flew all around the cave. White shards scattered through the air like rain while the sound of destruction echoed endlessly throughout the cave.

And Inoiki did not stop there.

At the same time he was destroying the bone forest, he also controlled the entire section of earth where Kabuto had submerged himself underground and violently tore that chunk of earth out from the cave floor.

The ground cracked apart with a deafening sound as a massive section of stone and dirt was ripped upward and suspended in the air by Inoiki’s psychokinesis. Dust and broken rock scattered everywhere.

The moment that chunk of earth was floating in the air, Kabuto suddenly emerged from it.

Using Kidomaru’s spider abilities, Kabuto shot out a thick web from his hands. The web attached itself to a distant wall of the cave and, just like Spider-Man, Kabuto pulled himself away at high speed, narrowly escaping the floating mass of earth before Inoiki could completely crush it.

But Kabuto did not stop there either.

While moving through the air, he used Kidomaru’s spider abilities once again and released a vast amount of spider webs in every direction. Thick white strands spread through the cave like a giant net, rapidly covering all the giant spinning blades that were tearing apart the bone forest created from Kimimaro’s Dead Bone Pulse ability.

The webs wrapped around the spinning shuriken layer after layer, forming cocoon-like restraints around them and slowing their movements.

However, how could Inoiki’s blades, controlled directly by his psychokinesis, be restrained so easily?

The next second, the giant shuriken violently trembled in the air.

The webs wrapped around them were immediately shredded apart by the sheer force of their spinning. White strands snapped in all directions, filling the cave with torn pieces of sticky spider silk.

Even then, because the webs were so sticky, they still managed to hinder the movement of Inoiki’s shuriken to some extent.

Inoiki’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Suddenly, the entire surface of the giant spinning blades became covered in flames.

The fire spread across the shuriken instantly, coating every blade in blazing orange flames. Under Inoiki’s psychokinesis, even the kunai making up the giant shuriken were covered in fire chakra.

As a result, all the spider webs wrapped around the blades immediately started burning.

The thick white strands shriveled and blackened under the flames before turning into ash. Soon, all the webs around the spinning blades had completely burned away.
