"Just as I figured. Yamamoto can't beat Aizen in his current state."
Shin observed the scene, noting that Yamamoto had fallen into a disadvantage. While Zanka no Tachi had allowed him to overwhelm Aizen earlier, Yamamoto's spiritual pressure was now nearly depleted. Although immense, his reserves were finite.
Compared to Aizen, whose energy seemed practically limitless, Yamamoto simply couldn't keep up. He was being completely suppressed.
In the end, it was his spiritual pressure that failed him.
'Zanka no Tachi is incredibly powerful, but the spiritual pressure it consumes is enormous. The old man can't sustain it... what a pitiful way to lose.'
Shin continued to watch.
"Shin, are you just going to stand there? Shouldn't you be helping him?"
Kyōraku Shunsui asked Shin, his voice filled with anxiety.
Though Kyōraku didn't always show Yamamoto the utmost respect, it was only a facade. Deep down, he held the Head-Captain in high regard.
"If you want me to lift a finger, there's got to be something in it for me."
Shin said, stroking his chin.
"You're still thinking about rewards at a time like this? What do you want?" Kyōraku asked, annoyed. Is this guy really trying to drive a hard bargain at a time like this?
"Haha, don't worry. I won't be too unreasonable. I'm not asking for much," Shin said with a smile.
"Stop playing games and save him! The Head-Captain really can't hold on much longer."
The other captains stared at Shin with frustration, but there was nothing they could do. They all knew his strength was on another level.
"What's the rush? Yamamoto looks like he's on his last legs, but he can still hold out for a bit. Have a little faith in the old man."
"My request is simple. I just need a bit of cash. I'm a little tight on money lately."
Shin said with a light chuckle. He had been spending a bit too freely, especially on gifts for the women in his life. He was genuinely broke.
After all, with no official duties or salary, it was bound to happen.
"Fine. Name your price," Kuchiki Byakuya said.
"Alright, since the man with deep pockets has spoken, I'll make my move." Shin vanished with a flicker step and appeared in front of Yamamoto.
He blocked the Zanpakutō, which had now fused with Aizen, with a single hand.
"Aizen, I think it's time you gave up. I've already taken the Hōgyoku. Do you really think you have a chance of defeating me?" Shin asked Aizen, signaling for Yamamoto to retreat.
Though he hadn't defeated Aizen and had even been suppressed, Yamamoto felt a sense of shame. But he wasn't one to push himself beyond his limits. If not for the Hōgyoku's regenerative abilities, Aizen might not have been able to outlast him. In the end, Aizen had only won by exhausting Yamamoto's spiritual pressure.
"Give me back the Hōgyoku."
Aizen said to Shin, intent on reclaiming it.
"You must be dreaming. Do you really think you have a chance of getting it back now that it's in my hands?" Shin sneered.
Anything that fell into his hands was not going back to Aizen.
Though Shin had already copied the Hōgyoku's abilities, making the artifact itself less useful to him, he was still curious about its mysterious power. Who wouldn't be? The power he had copied was now a part of him, but the Hōgyoku itself was a tangible, divine artifact, completely different.
"In that case, I'll have to take it back by force." Aizen swung his sword at Shin with ferocious speed.
Even without the Hōgyoku, his power was still immense.
"Attacking me now isn't a wise choice. Even with your beyond-ultra-speed regeneration, I can still kill you."
Shin reminded Aizen.
He wasn't bluffing. With the power of the Truth-Seeking Orbs, he could completely obliterate Aizen, leaving nothing behind.
"Then let me see this power that can kill me." Aizen's expression was firm. Though he had seemed to have a breakdown earlier, he had now recovered. freewebnovёl.ƈom
"You're a talented man. I'd rather not kill you. I'll just seal you away instead."
Shin said to Aizen. If he didn't want to kill him, sealing him was the only option.
"Six Paths — Chibaku Tensei."
Shin unleashed the strongest sealing jutsu. Using it on Aizen was a sign of respect.
Aizen tried to dodge, but the moment he moved, chakra chains erupted and bound his body, temporarily immobilizing him.
"You can't escape this."
Shin's palm struck Aizen's body, sealing all his spiritual pressure and stripping him of his power.
Aizen became the core of the Chibaku Tensei. Countless rocks and debris flew towards him, enveloping him completely.
Soon, Aizen was sealed, transformed into a massive, small planetoid, hanging in the sky.
"You can stay sealed in there from now on. I doubt anyone will be able to break the seal and let you out."
Shin looked up at the newly formed star with satisfaction.
"What the hell? Did I see that right? What kind of technique creates a whole planet out of thin air?" Kyōraku's expression was one of pure shock.
Even Byakuya, who rarely showed any change in expression, was stunned, his eyes wide as he stared at the result of Shin's technique.
"What's the big deal? It's nothing special," Shin said nonchalantly. His words left Kyōraku speechless. Nothing special?
"Maybe to you, it's nothing special," Kyōraku said after a moment of silence.
To Shin, it was a small matter, but to them, it was beyond comprehension. But at least Aizen was finally dealt with.
With Aizen no longer a threat, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
Especially the Visored. Aizen had been their greatest enemy. Now that he was gone, their quest for revenge was over.
But with Aizen gone, they also felt a sense of emptiness, as if they had suddenly lost their purpose.
