Chapter 595: The Advantage Of Time

"Who was the entity that had messed with the laws? Which one of them?"

[Abraxas.]

Liam’s eyes narrowed into a slit when he heard the name. It was one that he had never expected and one that he wasn’t quite familiar with.

"System, who is this Abraxas?" He asked.

[He’s an entity that’s like the ultimate god of the entire cosmos and nearly every single entity answers to him.]

Liam took a moment to process the information he had just received and the implications it opened up.

"So, what you’re trying to say is that this Abraxas is the Supreme God of the Cosmos and he’s the ruler?" He asked in confirmation.

[Yes, Host. He’s also the strongest and no one can go against him.]

"Is he a Primordial? If so, shouldn’t he be on the same level as Tiamat, Yggdrasil and other Primordial entities?"

[Host, you must understand that even between Primordials, there’s power difference. But Abraxas is on another level completely. He’s not a Primordial. He stands above one. His power level is something even Lady Tiamat can’t ascertain.]

Liam sighed and nodded slowly, as the whole picture became clear to him. He understood that he had probably been thrust into an ageless war and hatred between the Grand Universe and his universe, and also probably a warm between Primordials and Abraxas.

"One point of clarification, system, you said that the entity that tried to forceful rewrite the laws of my home universe, died. But if Abraxas is the Supreme God of the Grand Universe and no one can go against him, then he shouldn’t had died so easily," Liam said.

[You’re right on that, Host. Abraxas wasn’t the one who personally tried to rewrite the laws forcefully, but a subordinate god to him made the attempt.]

"Who was that subordinate god?"

[Nergal, a god of death and plague, and one of the lords of the underworld.]

"I see. How befitting," Liam muttered.

He closed his eyes briefly and sighed heavily, feeling a new kind of weight on his shoulder.

Things were starting to become even more serious for him and he wasn’t even close to being prepared for what the future would bring.

Fortunately for him, one thing he has the luxury of right now, was time. He would build and train himself to become stronger than his coming adversaries.

He also has to make preparations for the visitors that would be coming to check on humanity in the next couple of decades.

’A lot of work to do,’ he thought to himself.

"So system, how do I stop this death ravaging my home universe?"

[You have to become strong enough to forcefully rewrite the laws of the universe back to the way it was before the war or you can modify it to however you want. But what’s paramount is stopping the darkness.]

"Forcefully rewriting the laws? Wasn’t that something that got the last person that tried, killed? Shouldn’t I meet the Book Keeper and have him or her rewrite the laws safely?" Liam asked, a deep frown creasing his face.

[Correct but Nergal doesn’t have the advantage you have. And before you’re strong enough to meet the Book Keeper, the universe might had been fully enveloped by the darkness. But with your Constitutions and Talents, you should be able to successfully rewrite the laws.

The first attempt you made by replacing the original law gear with one that has your modification was brilliant. The gears representing universal laws are patterned. It will be easily to rewrite the laws by just replacing the ones that has been ruined or dislodged with law gears of your own modifications.]

"But I would need to be strong enough to do that. I remember vividly how difficult replacing a single and almost inconsequential law gear had been. But this isn’t just one or even hundreds, is it?"

[No, Host. We are talking about hundreds of millions of law gears. You can’t achieve it as a Transcendent. You would need to break through to the next two major realms in your cultivation before you can attempt it.]

"Good. I now understand what to do and when it can be done. The rest would be easy," Liam said outloud to himself.

After Lucy left Liam’s office, she went to the industrial hub in the Dimensional Space, to check on the progress of the important works she has delegated to the Research and Development extension.

She reached the section where the extension was working and saw that it was currently working on the development of Liam’s new exosuit, while simultaneously researching the Molecular Enhancement Nanites.

"What’s the progress on things, Meredith?" She asked, walking towards the extension.

The Research and Development extension, in her Synth form of a young lady, looked towards Lucy and smiled with warmth.

"Mother! Progress is moving steadily. The development of the exterior of the exosuit is almost done. After that, I will forward the details to Axon and have him start building it. I estimate that it should take a week from now for it to be ready," Meredith replied.

"That’s good progress. Good progress," Lucy said but she felt anxious inwardly.

The information she had accessed from the Array’s core told her of an impending doom they were not prepared for. freёweɓnovel.com

She really wished she could do more but they were doing more than enough as it was.

It has been nearly seven months or more since she came online fully and she had made a lot of progress since then. It started from the building as many Lucid devices as she could, then she started building the industrial hub, then the Lunar Base Sanctuary and everything else.

It was something that would had taken a hundred years at least but she had achieved such impossible progress in mere months.

But now, that impressive progress was no longer as impressive. Danger was lurking around them and they weren’t even close to being ready to face it.

The entire industrial hub was on truly nonstop work but still, it wasn’t enough.

Lucy sighed internally when she thought about this but she wasn’t disheartened. The information had made things to look bleak but she knew that they had time on their side and that before any danger would find them, they would had made more than sufficient preparation. She was just that confident.

She was still thinking about the future when she heard a loud bird cry echo throughout the Dimensional Space.
