Chapter 25: Loot Upgrade!
[You have 114 unclaimed Loot Bundles from the ’Crimson Goblin’ battle. Would you like to extract them now?] [Y/N]
As soon as Arc settled into the bunker, he summoned his unclaimed loot bundles, which he could sift through now at his convenience with the privacy of the bunker, allowing him to store his excess loot there if his inventory became packed and he wasn’t ready to sell it.
He clicked the ’Y’ option to accept the command and watched as his inventory space quickly filled. Then came the overspill of loot, materializing midair and pouring onto the floor, creating a mound of what looked like scrap metal.

Arc was grinning from ear to ear at the pile of trash sitting at his feet, which would have made any other player pull their hair out in frustration at the long list of useless items with no market value.
The loot bundles were truly terrible, as even the Silver Wolves had dropped way better than this—to every other person. But not from Arc’s perspective.
He didn’t care if they were at the lowest of the lows; as long as they came in numbers, they were gold to him. The more trash, the merrier.
Arc looked at the mountain of scrap before him and licked his lips.
It was time to turn garbage into treasure. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
He had no use for merging the Crimson Goblin Hides and Fangs, so he directly listed them all on the Trade platform for dirt cheap to sell them faster. Then, he began with the 50 Dull Cleavers.
Merging two items of the same rank upgraded it by one rank. In that sense, to get a Divine-tier item, Arc needed exactly 128 Common-tier items.
He had 50 Common-tier Dull Cleavers.
To get a Mythic-tier item, Arc needed exactly 64 Common-tier items. He was short by 14.
To get a Starlight-tier item, Arc needed exactly 32 Common-tier items.
Bingo.

’Liz Foxborn?’
"What the heck?" Arc was momentarily stunned as the notifications spammed his vision.
He navigated to [Island Management] and opened the map to confirm the island wasn’t being attacked, nor were any of the party members in danger.
If that were the case, then why the hell was she spamming him with a friend request?
He quickly navigated to his Forum profile and clicked accept before she could spam him some more, then logged off and immediately returned to upgrade the last two Legendary-tier Cleavers.

[You have successfully crafted a Starlight-tier weapon: SWORD OF THE HOLY EMPEROR]
[Do you wish to reveal your identity?] [Y/N]
"No."
[GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT]:
[A PLAYER HAS SUCCESSFULLY CRAFTED A STARLIGHT-TIER WEAPON: SWORD OF THE HOLY EMPEROR]
[SERVER ANNOUNCEMENT]:
[A PLAYER HAS SUCCESSFULLY CRAFTED A STARLIGHT-TIER WEAPON: SWORD OF THE HOLY EMPEROR]
Arc picked up the finalized Starlight-tier weapon, the Sword of the Holy Emperor, weighing the longsword with its white sheath and golden hilt in his hand. He nodded approvingly, then tossed it into his Inventory.
He could always check its attributes later, because he was dedicating this time to upgrading everything in his possession.
After using up 32 Common-tier Dull Cleavers, Arc had 18 left out of the 50 from the loot bundles. He needed just 16 to get a Legendary-tier item, so he went at it again.
After a few minutes...
[SERVER ANNOUNCEMENT]:
[A PLAYER HAS SUCCESSFULLY CRAFTED A LEGENDARY-TIER WEAPON: BACKBONE OF RAGNAROK]
This time, only a Server Announcement was triggered, because it required a Starlight-tier item or above to trigger a Global Announcement.
Unlike the Starlight-tier Sword of the Holy Emperor, which was crafted from the same source, the Legendary-tier Backbone of Ragnarok was obsidian and had a dark sheen to it, like something pulled straight out of hell’s gate—similar to Cerberus’ Cursed Fang.
Do all Legendary-tier items come from the underworld?
He tossed it into his Inventory space as well and focused on the remaining items in the loot bundles. He cracked his neck and flexed his shoulders. With a mischievous grin, he went all out to break the servers.

Arc fell back onto the bunk bed, utterly drained of Mana and Stamina, feeling his vision swim. He had forced himself to keep going just to finalize merging the entire haul of loot bundles.
He forced a smile as he stared at the shiny items sitting in his inventory, with only a few scraps of loot now remaining on the floor.
He was certain the entire Forum would be in chaos now, if not outright crashing. Not just the local Server, but the World Chat. He had just pulled off something that had never happened in the Golden Records of this world, making history.
He wasn’t scared of being exposed to danger by the primordials who sought to hunt him down, because his identity was completely anonymous and couldn’t be pried into by even the leader of the Great White Faction, Goddess Zemira.
This was the reason he had chosen not to reveal his identity in the announcements.
[Arc, you know I’ve really cared for and done EVERYTHING in my power to give you the best in this world...]
"W-What the hell do you want from me?"
