Chapter 67: Chapter 65: BUG Skill

’Over thirty thousand...’

Chen Yu was rather satisfied as he looked at the amount of Source of Life on the interface.

’To harvest over thirty thousand Source of Life in a single day is pretty good progress.’

’Though I’m still a long way from my next physical Evolution, upgrading my Skills first is a good option.’

"Do you wish to upgrade the Skill: Divine Will?!"

’Upgrade!’

With a single thought, a tremor ran through him. Inside his body, the golden Seed of Superpower trembled, and in an instant, a brilliant golden light erupted from within Chen Yu.

A power buried deep inside him erupted, and his very bones and sinews hummed.

It felt like a metamorphosis, and in the blink of an eye, the upgrade was complete.

The golden Seed of Superpower had grown stronger, now as powerful as the Seed of Superpower for his Biological Force Field.

Chen Yu came back to his senses and let out a long breath.

With a thought, he checked the Skill’s details again.

[Divine Will (Golden Legend): The will of a True God descends, temporarily increasing all attributes by 1000%. The user’s mind enters a temporary frenzied state, and the True God’s will takes control. This state consumes the user’s life force...]

One thousand!

Chen Yu’s pupils contracted as he stared at the text.

Upgrading Divine Will had boosted his temporary all-attribute increase directly to one thousand percent.

One thousand percent!

What did that even mean?!

His heart pounded in his chest, and it took him a long moment to calm down.

’With a boost like this, how high will the next upgrade go?’

’Two thousand percent?!’

’If I max it out, how much will the boost be?’

’If this Skill becomes powerful enough, won’t I instantly possess strength on par with the True God Level?!’

’A pity... if only it didn’t have side effects...’

Chen Yu sighed to himself.

The power of the Divine Will Skill was undeniable; it was practically a cheat!

The problem was, activating the Skill would suppress his own mind and let the True God’s will take over. That part was uncontrollable.

’The life force consumption is a secondary issue; the instability is just too big a factor.’

’Under normal circumstances, I definitely can’t use it carelessly.’

’I can only use it as a trump card.’

’I wonder how much my strength will increase when I activate this ability...’

Chen Yu stared into the night, lost in thought.

So far, this was the only Skill he possessed that he couldn’t completely control.

It was powerful, no doubt, but it was just too unstable!

Of course, Chen Yu also knew there was no such thing as a perfect ability; every power came with its own flaws.

’The more overpowered the ability, the greater the drawback!’

Still, if used correctly, it was an incredible asset.

Pulling his gaze from the darkness, Chen Yu summoned his interface with a thought.

Name: Chen Yu

Talent: Infinite Body (Tier Four 0/500,000) [Unique Talent]

Skills: Spirit Devouring (Perfection 510/200,000), Frozen Breath (Advanced 53/100,000), Biological Force Field (Golden Legend Intermediate 5/100,000), Divine Will (Golden Legend Intermediate 0/200,000)

Source of Life: 14,745

’Two hundred thousand...’

Chen Yu felt a headache coming on as he looked at the interface.

Upgrading the Divine Will Skill required the most Source of Life of any of his abilities so far.

Even more than his Biological Force Field.

They were both Golden Legendary Level abilities, but clearly, there were major differences even among abilities of the same rank.

Two hundred thousand Source of Life was enough to max out his Spirit Devouring Skill completely.

’Hopefully, I can harvest more tomorrow...’

One last thought crossed Chen Yu’s mind as he gazed into the night, and then he closed his eyes to rest.

In the dead of night, dark clouds blotted out the moon, plunging the world into a darkness as deep as the Abyss.

Crane City was silent, save for the occasional roar that echoed through its ruins.

Meanwhile, outside Crane City, atop a towering mountain, two ghostly figures materialized in the pitch-black night.

Standing on the mountain peak, the two figures in black cast their gazes toward the distant ruins of Crane City.

"We have orders from above. We’re not to make a move for now," one of the black-clad figures said in a low voice.

Hearing this, the other man in black sneered. "What do the orders of your Divine Authority Council have to do with my Pantheon Sect?"

"Don’t forget, we’re partners in this," the first man said in a low voice.

"We’re merely cooperating. The orders of your Divine Authority Council are useless to the Pantheon Sect," the other man stated coldly.

"Then what do you propose?" the first man asked, looking at him.

"Just testing the waters," the other man replied nonchalantly.

"If you make a move, it will be difficult to answer to our superiors," the first man said.

"Who said I was going to do anything? With so many mutated beasts around, why not let them do the work? Do you not even have the brains to think of that?" the other man said, looking at him with contempt.

The first man was speechless.

"I hope that’s all it is. If you interfere personally, I will have no choice but to report this," the first man warned, giving him a final glance.

"Tch..." The other man scoffed. With a leap, his figure melted into the dark night and vanished like a ghost.

In a top-floor room of a high-rise in Crane City’s Central District, Xu Feng was resting on a sofa with his eyes closed.

Suddenly, he seemed to sense something. His eyes snapped open and fixed on the closed door.

"Since you’re here, why be so secretive?"

Xu Feng spoke to the closed door, as if talking to thin air. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

But no voice answered him. The silence was absolute, almost unnervingly so.

Hearing no reply, Xu Feng’s expression darkened, and a powerful aura instantly erupted from his body.

An overwhelming pressure quickly enveloped the entire room!

The very air seemed to grow heavy, suppressed by his aura.

"It seems you want me to force you out!" Xu Feng’s gaze turned icy as a powerful ball of condensed Qi formed between his hands.

Just as he was about to strike, the door suddenly rippled, and a figure walked straight through it into the room.
