Chapter 778: Chapter 768: Why Is He Always the One Who Gets Hurt?

"Are all of you useless?" Melody Thorne’s words were directed at the people in the surveillance footage.

The people in the monitoring room had already noticed Melody Thorne’s presence and called Cole O’Connell to ask what they should do now.

Cole O’Connell responded, telling them to ensure Melody Thorne’s safety at all costs.

The hotel security quickly surrounded the area. A few people entered the bar’s office. Melody Thorne, somewhat unable to watch, looked at the dancing crowd in the bar’s dance floor below. Inside, several people’s clothes were completely stripped off, and they were doing the bridge pose. Beneath them were thin, long silver needles fixed in place; the sensation from those needles was indescribable.

"Prince, are you satisfied?" the bar manager asked obsequiously.

"It’s okay," Timmy said, hands in his pockets. "If only there were some chess incense burners, the needles could be inserted in the middle."

Manager: "..."

This is a bar, after all.

Outside, a noisy commotion rose as many journalists flooded into the bar, heading straight for the suite where Jim Lowell was.

The door inside wasn’t even locked, and the scene caught on camera was unbearable to watch. The head of Dynasty Entertainment was shockingly kinky, engaging in unclear relations with multiple muscular men in the private room...

"Stop filming, stop filming, or I’ll ruin you!" came Jim Lowell’s voice, as if from a slaughtered pig, from inside.

"I think it’s really too easy on him, still thinking there could be some truth behind Fat Sister’s death. Now it turns out, this sly old fox says nothing," someone commented.

Melody Thorne stood in the corridor, watching the journalists surround Jim Lowell’s room. "Maybe Jim Lowell doesn’t even know who killed Fat Sister and pinned it on Howie."

"Are you suspecting someone around him, or do you think someone outside of Dynasty did it?"

"Tell our people to keep a close watch on everyone around Jim Lowell, including the women with him."

"Okay."

"Jared, Lord Jared?" Nina King suddenly spoke, looking behind Melody Thorne.

Melody Thorne and Timmy both abruptly turned around. A tall and upright figure was wrapped in a perfectly tailored black suit. His cold and handsome features were deep and captivating, and at this moment, his pitch-black eyes, like a serene ancient pool, clearly reflected a big and a small figure.

He had only gone out to discuss something with Leon Rivers, and these two had already disappeared.

Timmy immediately stood behind Melody Thorne, pushing her to face Jared Quinn. His dad could reprimand anyone, but not Melody Thorne.

Jared Quinn grabbed the little bun hiding behind Melody Thorne, "What did I tell you? Hmm?"

"You told me to be good to her, to protect her. I’ve done that," Timmy replied, exasperated.

He had hidden, yet he was the one getting scolded!

"Bringing her to a place like this, did you get my permission, hmm?"

Timmy: "...Dad, I’m a kid, just a kid!"

Could he possibly have the ability to bring Melody here?

"What do you two take me for?" Melody Thorne grabbed Timmy, placing him back on the ground. She earnestly started lying through her teeth to the man in front of her. "It was Mr. Lowell who sent a message asking me to come over, saying he wanted to apologize or something. So I brought Nina King with me."

"And you didn’t notify me in advance? Hmm?" Jared Quinn flicked her little nose. "Don’t let there be a next time, you hear?"
