"Let’s get out," Jared Quinn took her hand and led her inside, ensuring she always stayed behind him as they walked. In this way, Jared Quinn was like a towering tree, shielding her from wind and rain.
Melody Thorne’s chest heaved as they entered the abandoned factory, glancing around in search of Kiki Sutton.
"Melody! Melody, don’t come over," Kiki Sutton shouted from the middle position downstairs, "Don’t come over, Hans Montrose is already crazy, he’s a madman, leave quickly, don’t mind me."
Melody Thorne looked up, seeing Kiki Sutton tied tightly, suspended from a thin wire on the third floor. Falling from such a height wouldn’t kill her, but she would surely be crippled.
Hans Montrose was ruthless.

"Let Kiki go first," Melody Thorne suppressed her emotions.
Hans Montrose stood behind Kiki, his large hand slid around her waist, pulling her close to himself, his thin lips brushing against her cheek. "Do you think everyone is like you, wanting to push me so far away that you can’t even see me? Maybe, she needs me more than you do. At least, she’s had a crush on me for so many years..."
"Ah..." Kiki Sutton screamed, her whole face turning a ghastly pale. "I thought Ashton Young was the scummiest man in the world, but I didn’t expect you to be even worse, utterly inhumane!"
In the past, Hans Montrose might have reacted to such words, but now there was not even the slightest response from him. He released Kiki Sutton, his gaze landing on Melody Thorne, then turned to Jared Quinn, lightly spitting out two words, "Come up."
"Jared..." Melody Thorne tightened her grip on his large hand, her anxiety growing stronger.
"It’s okay, wait for me here."
Jared Quinn removed her fingers, remembering his words, "Stay where you are, don’t move, protect our child."
