Chapter 29: Shocked Parents
Hearing Liya’s shameless tone, Nova could only roll his eyes helplessly while continuing to move toward Coldrock at lightning speed. After a few seconds, however, another thought suddenly crossed his mind.
"Can the System Training Space be used by someone other than me?" Nova asked curiously.
Honestly, the moment he heard about the existence of a separate time-dilated space, many possibilities immediately appeared in his mind.
Not only could it become the perfect place for training and growth, but it could also serve as a hidden sanctuary during dangerous situations. More importantly,
if Rieka could enter it too, it will increase her growth rate as well and during future travels or battles against enemies stronger than them, he wouldn’t need to constantly worry about protecting her.
She could safely remain inside the training space until she became strong enough to truly fight beside him.
{That’s actually a pretty smart question, Host~} Liya answered thoughtfully.
{But unfortunately, no.}
{The Training Space itself is already an absurd cheat ability, so currently only you are allowed to enter it.}
Then her tone became slightly playful again.
{Though you don’t need to worry too much~ the next upgrade should unlock functions related to that.}
"I see..." Nova sighed slightly after hearing the answer.
Honestly, he did feel somewhat disappointed because the idea sounded extremely useful to him. Still—the current abilities of the system were already more than monstrous enough.
So he didn’t complain much. frёeωebɳovel.com
Clearing those thoughts from his mind, Nova continued moving forward at incredible speed through the green lands . He had already covered nearly half the distance toward Coldrock, and not even ten full minutes had passed yet.
Then his curiosity returned once again.
"So..."
"What’s the third upgrade?"
Hearing the question, Liya didn’t reply instantly like before. Instead, a playful silence descended between them for a few moments, making Nova slightly confused as he continued moving toward Coldrock at lightning speed through the rocky green lands.
Just as he was about to ask again, Liya’s mature seductive voice finally echoed inside his head once more.
{Oh~ the third upgrade is actually the most perfect one, and honestly it’s the one even I’m happiest about.}
Her voice carried obvious excitement as she continued.
{Because this upgrade granted me a physical form... now I can materialize in a human form~}
"What?" Nova was completely stunned after hearing that once again.
How could a system even possess a physical body, much less take on a human form? Even after reading countless fantasy and cultivation novels in his previous life, he had never heard of something this absurd before.
Now that he thought about it carefully... wasn’t his system a little too ridiculous? It already possessed enough outrageous abilities and weird features, but now it could literally materialize physically as well?
Then another dangerous thought suddenly crossed his mind. Considering how seductive and mature Liya’s voice already sounded... wouldn’t her physical appearance be absolutely bombshell-level beautiful too?
Without realizing it—Nova actually started drooling slightly.
{ Heh... now you’re thinking about fucking your own system? Oh god, how can my host be such a massive pervert? Someone save me from this bad man~ }
Liya’s playful, teasing voice echoed in Nova’s head, followed by her bright, giggling laughter.
"Cough... cough..." Nova cleared his throat awkwardly. "I wasn’t thinking about that. You must be mistaken."
{ Yeah, yeah... keep telling yourself that. } Liya’s tone was full of amusement.
{You already know I can read every single one of your thoughts, Host. }
She paused for a moment, her voice turning slightly husky and excited.
{ Honestly... even I want to get fucked by you. That big, thick cock of yours... } Her tone suddenly shifted, becoming softer and a little sad.
{ But unfortunately, I don’t have a physical body yet. I’m still virtual. Even in the system space, you can only see me... you can’t touch me. }
Then, just as quickly, her voice brightened again with excitement.
{ But don’t worry, Host! After the second upgrade, I’ll probably get a real physical body. Then you can fuck me as much as you want~ } She giggled cutely, even with her mature, seductive voice.
{ I’m not bragging, but I’m seriously hot as hell. I can’t wait to see your reaction... Hehehe. }
"....."
Nova let out a long sigh, his cheeks slightly warm. He chose not to comment further as he drew closer to the village .
....
"Haa... Haa..."
It took Nova less than twenty minutes to reach Cloudrock village. He stood at the entrance gate, breathing heavily, his chest rising and falling.
Even with his greatly enhanced strength and multiple recovery skills, the rapid journey had still drained a noticeable amount of his mana. Though it recovered quickly, the exertion was still evident.
He walked through the village with a calm expression on his face. The village remained exactly as he remembered people going about their daily routines, children laughing and running through the streets, and the peaceful atmosphere of a quiet rural settlement.
However, as he moved along the familiar paths, many villagers turned their heads, whispering among themselves. They felt he looked strangely familiar, yet different.
The handsome young man walking with such confidence drew many curious and admiring glances.
Finally, Nova reached his family home. His sharp senses immediately detected two people inside surprisingly, his father was still here . He knocked on the door, which was locked from inside.
"Coming!" his mother’s familiar voice called out. A few seconds later, the door opened. The moment his mother saw him, her eyes widened in complete shock.
She recognized him instantly this was her beloved son. Yet the transformation was undeniable. His face, already handsome before, had become strikingly more attractive.
But the biggest change was his physique. He was now noticeably taller, with a muscular, lean, and well-defined body that radiated strength and vitality. In simple terms, he looked like a completely different and extremely hot man.
"N-Nova... is that really you?" his mother muttered in a stunned tone, looking him up and down with wide eyes.
Nova had expected this reaction. There was little he could do to hide his transformation. He could only be honest with them. Fortunately, his father was also home, so he wouldn’t have to explain everything twice. He would try to make the story as believable as possible but he will be telling the truth.
"Yes, it’s me, Mom," Nova said softly, offering her a gentle smile. That warm expression only enhanced his already striking new appearance, making him look even more charming and confident.
He stepped inside the house and quietly closed the door behind him. Looking at his still-stunned mother, he asked, "Is dad in the living room?"
His mother remained completely silent for a few long seconds, too shocked to respond. Her once skinny and frail son now stood tall and powerful before her.
She couldn’t stop staring, her mind struggling to accept what she was seeing. A small part of her even wondered if some stranger had stolen her son’s face.
Just then, his father’s voice echoed from inside the house. "Who is it, darling? Did Nova come back?"
Nova gently placed his hands on his mother’s shoulders, steadying her with a reassuring touch. "Let’s go inside, Mom. Dad is calling us. I’ll explain everything once we’re all together."
She didn’t speak. She simply nodded once, still dazed, and allowed him to guide her into the living room.
Nova gently guided his still-dazed mother into the living room. Inside, his father, Edward, sat in a sturdy wooden chair, already wearing his polished knight armor. He was clearly preparing to depart for Frostholme to join the fight against the incoming beast tide.
The moment Edward saw his wife being held by a tall, muscular stranger who oddly resembled his son, his expression hardened. With the instincts of a seasoned warrior, he swiftly grabbed the sword resting beside him and rose to his feet.
"Leave my wife at once if you value your life!" Edward growled angrily. Though Nova now looked significantly more powerful, Edward stood at the same impressive height and showed no sign of fear.
"Woah, woah! father, it’s me! Your son!" Nova quickly released his mother and raised both hands in surrender, trying to calm the situation. fгeewebnovёl.com
Fortunately, his mother, Jenna, stepped in. "It’s our son, Edward. Don’t worry... though he has changed quite a lot for some reason." She walked over and sat down on the sofa, gesturing for both her husband and son to sit as well.
"...."
Edward stared at Nova with narrowed eyes, clearly struggling to believe what he was seeing. "Is that really you, son? What in the world happened to you?"
"Yes, Father. It’s really me," Nova replied calmly. He moved forward and sat down directly in front of his parents. "Please calm down. I’ll explain everything now. Just sit down first."
Edward studied his son for a few more seconds before finally relaxing his stance. He removed the upper half of his armor, setting it aside along with his sword, and sat down beside Jenna. Now both his parents were watching him intently, waiting for answers.
Nova took a deep breath, facing them both with a serious yet composed expression, ready to reveal what had happened to him.
{Quite the predicament you’re in... Will you reveal everything to them?}
Liya’s voice echoed curiously inside Nova’s head. Nova answered her mentally while maintaining a calm expression in front of his parents.
I don’t really have a choice. And honestly... it’s okay to tell them almost everything. In my previous life, I never experienced the love of parents. Now that I finally have a family that genuinely cares for me, I refuse to keep major secrets from them. They won’t harm me. I trust them.
He paused for a moment in his thoughts before continuing. I’ll reveal everything... except the fact that I transmigrated into their original son’s body. That part I’ll keep to myself.
The original Nova was already dead, and he had done nothing wrong by taking his place. Revealing such a truth would only cause unnecessary pain and confusion.
Unlike those reckless protagonists in stories he once read, he had no intention of revealing something so dangerous and pointless.
Liya remained silent after hearing his decision, as if quietly observing what he would say next.
