Chapter 168: The Last Training
After Daisy had calmed down again, she took Destiny from Dennis’s hands, and then the three of them went upstairs and sat in the living room. Dennis put his arm around Daisy, who was holding a sleepy Destiny beside her; both were silent and didn’t speak a single word, making the atmosphere in the living room quiet yet comfortable and peaceful. Once Daisy was ready to talk,
"Honey... I remember everything now," Daisy said.
"Okay... since you remember now... I know we’ve known each other since we were in fifth grade and I promised to always be by your side... but instead, I chased after Bella... and made you miserable... forgive me, honey, I was truly stupid... and weak," Dennis muttered, looking down.
"It wasn’t your fault... I also moved away and left you, but... at least I’m glad you protected me when that plane was about to hit our school," Daisy said.
"Oh... you remember everything now," Dennis replied.
"Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne... they each held my memories... my recollections... my pain... and everything that made me shut myself off and create them," Daisy replied.
"I know, they are all inside you now," Dennis said, embracing his wife.
"Yes... I know... they are all actually me... I was split into seven and wasn’t whole... because I was afraid to face the bitter reality I experienced in my past life, which carried over into this life... specifically when I had my awakening," Daisy replied.
Both fell silent again; they just watched Destiny sleeping in Daisy’s arms as Dennis stroked her.
[Sorry to disturb you, Master, Mistress, please take a look.]
An interface appeared in front of them both. On the display, a point was seen streaking rapidly toward Emerald City, which bordered Ruby City. Dennis stood up because he knew exactly what that point was. freewebnovel.cσ๓
"He’s coming," Dennis said.
[Correct, Master. He sensed the Mistress’s awakening.]
"Hmm... I see. All right... let’s go welcome him, Sami," Dennis said.
[Yes, Master.]
"Wait,"
Suddenly Daisy grabbed Dennis’s hand, making him turn back to look at her.
"I’m coming too," Daisy said, standing up while holding Destiny.
"Huh... then what about Destiny?" Dennis asked.
"We’ll leave her at your mother’s house... please let me come... I know who he really is... he’s Railey... or more precisely, Railey’s character from the game," Daisy answered.
Dennis looked at his wife’s face, which appeared serious and full of determination, then he looked again at Daisy’s status, which was now equal to his own because the seven personalities that held her power had merged back into her. Dennis exhaled and smiled at Daisy. He held her head, making her look up at him.
"Alright, let’s take Destiny to my parents’ house," Dennis said.
[Leave it to me, Master, Mistress. Let me be the one to take Destiny.]
"Huh... you? How exactly?" Dennis asked, confused.
[At the moment, your mother is at home. I can teleport Destiny there; please prepare all her necessities first.]
"Hmm... alright, come on honey, let’s go upstairs first," Daisy invited.
"Okay... let’s just hope my mom doesn’t get a heart attack," Dennis replied.
Finally, the two went upstairs and straight to their master bedroom to pack Destiny’s things to be left with Eleanor and William. They prepared the baby bassinet and a bag filled with clothes and Destiny’s supplies like diapers, bottles, formula, and so on. Once ready, they placed Destiny in the bassinet, which still fit her, with the bag hooked onto the handle.
"Alright, Sami," Dennis said.
[Very well, Master. If you need to practice for a moment, please do; he still needs an hour to arrive here.]
"Hmm... fine," Dennis replied.
Suddenly, Destiny and her bassinet vanished as if teleported. Dennis put his arm around Daisy beside him.
"Let’s finish this all now, honey," Daisy said.
"Yeah... after that, we live in peace... the three of us with Destiny," Dennis said.
"Want to practice for a bit first? I want to test my new power," Daisy said.
"Fine... let’s go," Dennis replied.
Immediately, Dennis opened his dimensional training room, and the two of them disappeared inside. Meanwhile, at William’s house, Eleanor, who hadn’t gone to the office, was sitting in the living room watching television. Suddenly—"blugh"—something appeared beside her. She glanced over briefly and then looked back at the TV, but suddenly she realized what she saw and whipped her head back around. Her eyes went wide and her mouth hung open because she saw Destiny right there beside her, sleeping in her bassinet.
"Huh... Destiny? Why is she here... oh man... so sudden... wait... where are her mom and dad... what is going on?" Eleanor said.
Seeing Destiny was asleep, Eleanor immediately grabbed her phone and tried to call Dennis, but Dennis didn’t answer. She typed a string of messages to Dennis but they weren’t read. She put her smartphone back on the coffee table, confused while looking at Destiny, then she picked up the sleeping Destiny and patted her gently so she wouldn’t wake up. Suddenly, "ding," a message arrived on her smartphone. She immediately grabbed it and read the contents.
"Mom, please watch Destiny for a few days, I teleported her there. Daisy and I will pick her up later. Thanks, Mom."
"Good grief, that kid... just doing whatever he wants... but I’m happy Destiny is here again, hehe... I have to tell her grandpa," Eleanor said to herself with a wide grin.
She immediately informed William and Martha, who were also shocked and decided to head home right away. Meanwhile, inside the training room, Dennis was choosing a quest program for his training, but Daisy grabbed Dennis’s hand.
"I want to fight you," Daisy said, staring at Dennis.
"Hmm?" Dennis turned to look at his wife. He realized something; although her face still looked the same as usual, the aura she radiated was different. Her eyes, which were usually blank and gazed softly, were now full of determination—hard yet gentle and firm—as if she had decided on something and no one else, not even her husband, could change her mind. Seeing his wife like that, Dennis smiled; he turned off his interface and turned to face Daisy.
"Alright, let’s train together," Dennis said with a smile.
"Yes... thank you, honey," Daisy replied, smiling back.
They both took several steps back to create distance. Daisy drew her katana and settled into her stance, then she closed her eyes. Her body immediately emitted a colorful aura that swirled from the ground up. Dennis smiled as he watched, but he also felt a pang of sadness because he knew exactly what it was; the aura coming out represented Daisy’s six personalities that had merged with her.
Out of respect for his wife, Dennis tightened his gauntlets and dropped into his fighting stance, ready. A blackish-red aura like blood coiled upward from his feet until it enveloped his entire body.
"Let’s start, honey," Dennis said.
"Yeah... let’s go," Daisy replied.
"Swooosh," both of them instantly vanished. Suddenly, "blam... blam... blam," flashes of light from the impacts appeared and the sound of heavy collisions echoed, but neither Dennis nor Daisy were visible. The flashes moved continuously around the empty room, a sign that the two were clashing without pause.
Dennis parried Daisy’s sword as she lunged at him, then he saw Daisy’s face smiling as if she were enjoying their fight. He immediately smiled back and, without saying another word, they continued their conversation through high-speed strikes and parries.
After a few moments, the two of them reappeared and kept their distance, huffing and puffing, but they looked happy and were wearing wide grins.
"Alright... warm-up is over... take this, honey," Daisy said, raising her sword.
"Yeah... go ahead, I’m ready," Dennis replied cheerfully.
Without delaying any further, Daisy slashed her sword repeatedly at high speed. Hundreds of crescent-shaped slash beams flew directly toward Dennis at great speed, but Dennis immediately used his Beast King Rampage skill. He threw punches, claws, and kicks repeatedly into the air. Waves of force in the shape of fists, claws, palms, and kicks intercepted the hundreds of crescent slash waves in the middle.
"Blaaaam!" A massive explosion occurred and the room even shook, but both of them continued to launch their attacks, causing explosions to keep echoing in the air while the light from the clash of their two powers illuminated the dark, empty space until it was bright as day.
After clashing for a long time, they finally stopped. Dennis and Daisy landed, both immediately falling to one knee on the ground. Daisy propped herself up using her sword, her breath coming in ragged gasps, as did Dennis, who pressed both hands to the ground with labored breathing. Then they looked at each other and smiled.
"It seems we are evenly matched, honey," Dennis said, stammering from exhaustion.
"Yes... let’s rest for a moment," Daisy said.
Then the two of them stared at one another, and the atmosphere became a bit quiet. Finally, they both stood up and walked toward each other, then embraced. Dennis, feeling as if he were seeing Daisy for the first time, was clearly much more attracted to the Daisy who was now whole, while Daisy, looking at Dennis through different eyes, was also clearly more captivated.
"I love you," they both said unconsciously and at the same time.
Both were instantly stunned, staring at each other, then they immediately shared a passionate kiss that was much hotter than any before. And of course, they both immediately removed their clothes, and one thing directly led to another, even though the enemy was already at the doorstep.
