Chapter 615: Chapter 475: Heart Demon and Rainbow Six

"You gatekeeper dog, why don’t you finish me if you have me pinned?" Black Wukong gasped for air, proving that he indeed was no match for the Conqueror Buddha.

It was just a single strike, the Conqueror Buddha merely needed one strike to easily defeat him, leaving Black Wukong utterly dispirited and somewhat dejected.

"Lay down the butcher knife, and instantly become a Buddha." Sun Wukong shook his head; he was no longer the belligerent Monkey King of past but a Buddha who had cultivated his Buddha-nature and attained his fruit of enlightenment.

"Pah! Nonsense! Then why does Golden Cicada have to be a good person for ten lifetimes to become a Buddha, but a butcher can lay down his knife and immediately become a Buddha? What kind of twisted logic is that? You gatekeeper dog, you have no right to say that!" Black Wukong instantly became enraged, pushing off the staff that was against his chest and leaping up, swinging his staff at Sun Wukong.

"What’s the point?" Sun Wukong shook his head and then, with a flash, disappeared from sight.

"Come out, you coward! Have you forgotten all of our master’s teachings?" Black Wukong bellowed furiously after his swing found only air.

But inside the Guanyin Temple, there was only the sound of the White Wolf Demon panting.

The White Wolf Demon got up in a daze; he remembered where he was and who he was but couldn’t recall who the monkey in front of him was, nor what had just transpired.

"How strange... I should just go back to being a good demon," the White Wolf Demon said to himself in confusion, scratching his head before leaving.

"What a clever trick." Black Wukong sneered. He had indeed wanted to kill the White Wolf Demon, but suddenly found himself unable to speak, move his legs, or use his powers. His magical prowess had vanished without a trace.

It went without saying; he knew it was Sun Wukong’s doing.

It must be said that although Sun Wukong had converted to the Western Paradise, his powers had grown even more profound, to the point where he could bind Black Wukong without a move, the latter unaware of when he had been restrained.

Sun Wukong stood so high he could even see the satellites above his head, yet he paid them no heed. He used his fiery, golden gaze to look in the direction of Gao Laozhuang.

"Indeed... The workings of fate are such, but why is that?" Sun Wukong watched the fierce Zhu Bajie, utterly baffled.

He had thought he would see another Zhu Bajie, one trapped by love, turning into his own inner demon but had not expected this Zhu Bajie at Gao Laozhuang to be brutally violent, devoid of humanity, more like a pure demon than the heart demon he had just faced.

"Incomprehensible, unpredictable, as close as it may seem, it’s like the edge of the sky." Sun Wukong shook his head. The origins and background of this Zhu Bajie were completely obscure, even he, the Conqueror Buddha, couldn’t decipher anything about this Zhu Bajie, as if he never existed at all.

However, this could also explain why among all the deities in the heavens, none could detect these two demons; standing right before them, they seemed as if they didn’t exist. If Sun Wukong hadn’t sensed something was amiss, he might never have known that a heart demon version of himself was poised to kill the White Wolf Demon.

"Is this how the Heavenly Dao operates?" Sun Wukong looked up at the starry sky, deep in thought.

...

"Um~ I really can’t bear to take a bite; what should I do, Alisa?" Betty looked pitifully at the magnificent Starry Sky Cake before her, struggling and swallowing hard.

"Betty, it’s just something to eat. Although it looks very beautiful, if you don’t eat it, then you’ll actually be letting the cake down, right?" Alisa patiently tried to persuade Betty.

"Alisa, you don’t understand. If you had to spend all your fortune on such a cake, would you bear to eat it?" Betty stubbornly shook her head. She felt that if she ate it, it wouldn’t be like eating cake at all, it was practically eating Gold Coins!

Five thousand Gold Coins, that was still the employee discount price Chen Ze had given her. If it was sold to others, Chen Ze would charge ten thousand Gold Coins. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

If you melted down five thousand Gold Coins, you could probably make a huge cake like this, right?

Maybe even three cakes could be made. Therefore, Betty truly didn’t want to eat this cake.

"Betty..." Alisa covered her face, amused yet exasperated. This Succubus was really something else—even though her own trading company had already promoted this fast food, Betty still maintained such a miserly attitude.

"But I really never imagined I’d get to eat Dragon Meat here at the manager’s place," Alisa said as she looked at the bowl of soup in front of her, eagerly picking up the spoon.

And it was from that previously renowned Calamity Red Dragon. Alisa thought that if not for the manager, she might never have gotten the chance to taste Dragon Meat in her life, let alone such high-quality Dragon Meat.

"Whew~ It’s really delicious." Alisa swallowed the soup with satisfaction. With just one sip, she felt all the fatigue leave her body, and there was also a hint of aromatic wine that made Alisa feel slightly tipsy.

"It seems I can come here for a drink at Mr. Manager’s place in the future," Alisa said as she scooped up another spoonful of soup and tasted it.

"Darling, would you like a sip of this wine?" Lafra presented a glass of wine as if unveiling a treasure, handing it to Chen Ze.

"Ah, this..." Chen Ze stared at the rainbow-colored drink in front of him, somewhat at a loss.

"This is my meticulously concocted Rainbow No. 6; would you like to try it?" Lafra was brimming with confidence.

"Rainbow No. 6? Why is it named that?" Chen Ze suddenly became interested. Rainbow No. 6 was a game from his place, wasn’t it? How could it exist in a different world too?

"Because the bartender just randomly picked the name. Apparently, it was the sixth batch of the experiment when he concocted this drink, so it was named Rainbow No. 6," Lafra replied promptly. It seemed she really put a lot of effort into learning mixology.

"Alright, I’ll have a taste," Chen Ze said, although he really wanted to criticize the absurd name of the drink. Still, seeing the expectant look in Lafra’s eyes, he accepted the drink and slowly took a sip.

No sooner had the drink touched his throat than Chen Ze felt a very unusual flavor. It couldn’t really be said to be unpalatable. In fact, from a certain perspective, the drink was fantastic—one of the top drinks Chen Ze had ever tasted.

It also carried a fruity fragrance that gave the entire drink a rich layer of complexity.

The only thing was that the drink felt somewhat warming. Right after swallowing, Chen Ze felt a warmth spread throughout his body, making him feel cozy all over.

"It’s quite nice," Chen Ze said, satisfied as he looked at the glass of Rainbow No. 6. The flavor was indeed quite pleasing.

"Of course~" Lafra nodded proudly.
