Chapter 565: Chapter 425: This is Magic
Chen Ze stood in the kitchen, making a batch of curry ramen for himself. This ramen was his own invention, and he used a unique combination of spices and ingredients, which made him quite adept at preparing it.
"Manager, what are you making?" Betty poked her head in, her eyes fixed eagerly on Chen Ze.
Chen Ze’s lips twitched, and then he glanced at his phone. It was almost noon, so by that account...
"Betty, are you hungry?" Lafra asked, looking at Betty.
"Hehe... Lady Lafra has caught on~" Betty said embarrassingly as she scratched her head and rubbed her stomach.
"It’s all the manager’s fault. Little Naruto was eating that ramen outside, and it smelled so good, not to mention that masked man... Ah, my stomach is about to start growling." Betty looked pitifully, expressing that the greatest torment of working in Chen Ze’s restaurant was to serve these delicious dishes to other customers while she could only stand by and swallow her drool in despair.
Moreover, since Chen Ze was making two curry dishes, the rich aroma of curry had filled the restaurant, causing Betty’s cravings to constantly revolt.
"Alright, it’s noon anyway. Lafra, would you like to join me for some curry ramen?" Chen Ze looked towards his girlfriend, who was smiling at him, her eyes never leaving him. freewebnσvel.cøm
"Eh~ Ramen... I’ve never tried it, but since my dear made it, I would very much like to have some." Lafra nodded with a smile, then sat down on a chair, swinging her short legs.
When Naruto was eating, Lafra would not go out to disturb him because she was worried that if she was around, he might be too embarrassed to eat, although she didn’t know why that was.
"Okay." Chen Ze nodded, then continued making his ramen.
"Naruto, did you say the manager is your teacher’s husband?" Kakashi put down his spoon, the curry pork cutlet rice was simply too delicious.
Kakashi was not someone who particularly enjoyed eating; he mostly considered food simply as a way to fill his stomach. But this curry pork cutlet rice was truly heart-stirring.
"Yeah, that’s right, the manager is my master’s husband, so I call him... teacher’s husband." Naruto patted his chest, having almost choked just now.
"I think next time you could bring someone else along," Kakashi said with a smile, remembering the family who boasted the title of big eaters.
In fact, when Naruto would become Hokage later on, he would discover that the seemingly inconspicuous princess of the Hyuga Clan was a real glutton, someone who could make everybody else bow down in defeat.
"No, the Third Hokage doesn’t allow me to bring anyone," Naruto shook his head. His meal money was provided by the Third, and considering the Third’s status, Naruto listened to him a lot.
Though he listened to Lafra even more.
"Eh? What’s this..." Naruto took another bite of ramen, then noticed something round at the bottom of his bowl.
"Is this... a fish ball?" Naruto took a bite and smiled contentedly.
The fish ball was extremely tasty, the flavor of curry had almost fully infused into it, yet it did not obscure the original taste of the fish ball, making it even more delicious.
"Let me see... that should do it for the spices, I just haven’t figured out how to improve it yet," Chen Ze pinched his fingers, three portions of the curry noodles were ready, one of which was a larger serving made especially for Betty.
"Thank you, Manager!" Betty was so happy she could almost fly.
"Manager! Bring me another twenty servings of barbecue!" Sebastian’s loud voice rang out just as Chen Ze picked up his chopsticks.
"Alright." Chen Ze nodded, then gestured to his Shadow Clone, who immediately wiped his hands and began preparing the barbecue for Sebastian.
For some reason, even though the Shadow Clone Technique allowed Chen Ze to create a clone, the dishes prepared by the clone didn’t count towards Chen Ze’s own experience points. This dashed his hopes of using the clone to farm experience points.
"Today is very busy." Lafra took a bite of her curry ramen.
"Yeah, it’s the Mid-Autumn Festival. I plan to keep all these customers here... Oh, darling, can you do me a favor?" Chen Ze shoveled a mouthful as well, his stomach truly feeling hungry now.
"What is it?" Lafra looked at Chen Ze with curiosity.
"It’s just that..." Chen Ze quickly shared his plans with Lafra, and after she nodded in agreement, Chen Ze finally sat down with relief.
"Really, my gemstone would have sufficed as well, but I’m still happy that you thought of me, darling." Lafra stood up with a smile, closed her eyes for a few seconds, then snapped her fingers.
However, for some reason, Chen Ze felt like he saw a Purple Sweet Potato Spirit snapping its fingers. Could that be an illusion?
Considering Gou Dahu’s previous experience, it shouldn’t be time for the Purple Sweet Potato Spirit’s storyline to occur yet, so it should still be collecting its gemstones.
The next moment, Chen Ze saw the entire restaurant transform into a nightscape, with a round moon hanging in the sky, drawing everyone’s attention.
The scenery was also splendid; Chen Ze could see many firefly-like creatures fluttering around him. Coupled with the cool breeze and the quiet forest, it gave one a feeling of refreshing serenity.
"This..." Kakashi looked around in astonishment, subconsciously using several jutsu to dispel illusions, but to no avail.
"It must be the boss’s doing!" Naruto said happily as he stretched out his hand, and a firefly landed on it. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
"Lady Lafra’s magic is truly profound," Dragone exclaimed.
As a Sprite Dragon, he had not felt any magic fluctuation, which spoke volumes about Lafra’s masterful spellcasting abilities.
"Astonishing," Moriarty put down the book he was holding, observing everything around him. Everything looked incredibly real, and then there was the wind...
Curiously, Moriarty began to doubt the reality of his own world. If his world was also an existence conjured up like this...
"..Buffet." The door opened, and then Betty heard Lord Stan’s voice.
"Ahem... Lord Stan~ Welcome to the Dream Restaurant, please have a seat," Betty patted her chest and hastily swallowed down the ramen she had just been eating.
"Hmm, Lafra?" Stan looked around; the magical ambiance suggested that this was Lafra’s handiwork.
"Stan? Did you bring my things with you?" Lafra also walked out.
