Chapter 255: Chapter 115: The Way of Cooking

"Tony, I’ve got a really nice dish, do you want to try it?" Chen Ze smiled like a big bad wolf, causing Tony to shiver involuntarily.

Why does that expression look so familiar? Tony was a bit puzzled, feeling it was similar to those who have recommended their inventions to him.

"How good is the taste compared to the last dish I had?" Tony was very curious. He knew about Chen Ze’s cooking; it was of Michelin-starred quality.

Although Tony wasn’t too fond of dining at so-called Michelin restaurants, sometimes he quite liked the hot dogs from the cart downstairs.

"Better than the last one, by far." Chen Ze was full of confidence.

You see, the Iceberg Fresh Mountain that Chen Ze first made had reached an excellent level, and now he felt that he had made a breakthrough in making it.

"Your Huaxia people’s language is really beautiful, then bring me a portion of the dish you recommend," Tony said as he took a sip of the lemon water Betty had poured for him, finding the taste quite nice.

"However, it’s a bit pricey," Chen Ze warned him in advance.

"As for me, I never care about the price of food because there is nothing I can’t afford," Tony declared with a wealthy air.

"Alright then, please wait a moment." Chen Ze nodded, then headed back to the kitchen. He had sliced some Ice Fish, but he was still a bit short of enough for a serving of Iceberg Fresh Mountain.

Chen Ze picked up his ice knife, studying the muscle texture of the Ice Fish as he carefully cut thin slices as delicate as butterfly wings.

As he cut, Chen Ze remembered how Ryan made this dish. Ryan’s fish slicing was an art form—fast yet every slice was the same thickness and looked incredibly beautiful.

Chen Ze believed that if Ryan made the Iceberg Fresh Mountain, it would surely earn a perfect score. But was perfect really the final score?

Chen Ze wasn’t sure. Although he had been running the restaurant for some time, the best dish he had made so far was the Nafi Siblings’ exclusive perfect dish.

Whether there are levels beyond perfect for a dish wasn’t something Chen Ze knew.

[You have made an exquisite Iceberg Fresh Mountain, gaining 15 experience points in otherworldly cuisine making]

Chen Ze raised an eyebrow. It seemed his guess was right; he had indeed made a better dish that reached an exquisite grade.

"Betty, come in and serve the dish." Chen Ze clapped his hands and then stretched his back. He planned to check on his stew.

Chen Ze opened the pot lid and twitched the corners of his mouth. The Edelman pigtail inside was still there without any sign of being cooked.

"Could it be that this thing can never be cooked?" Chen Ze hesitated. After all, he had been cooking it daily, but no matter how long he boiled it, the pigtail remained unchanged.

"As expected of the Edelman pigtail, I refuse to believe it can’t be braised," Chen Ze said stubbornly as he covered the pot, though he was also quite excited. What kind of flavor would it be the next time the pigtail was ready?

Chen Ze swallowed. Just thinking about the deliciousness of the braised pigtail made him almost drool.

"Looks like I’ll set up a stall in a few days, and then I can think about starting to brew," Chen Ze pondered, touching his chin. Brewing was something he had been considering for a while.

While Chen Ze had realized he could also serve drinks for sale, he knew that wasn’t a long-term solution, and besides, he didn’t really like those liquors.

Chinese spirits were too strong, Western liquors had strange flavors that were hard to get used to at first, and though beer was tasty, it made one bloated.

Chen Ze had always wanted to brew a unique type of alcohol, preferably one that had the taste of beer but the potency of liquor. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

This matter still required careful consideration, Chen Ze shook his head and walked out.

Just as he stepped out of the kitchen, Chen Ze noticed Tony leisurely eating sashimi and waving at him upon seeing Chen Ze.

"How’s the taste?" Chen Ze wasn’t preoccupied and leaned against the wall watching Tony.

"Outstanding!" Tony gave Chen Ze a thumbs-up. The sashimi was truly the pinnacle of deliciousness, and the innate flavor of the fish surpassed many other tasty fish.

Tuna, salmon, and the like weren’t even worth mentioning.

Moreover, Chen Ze’s knife skills were impressive; each slice of fish was exceptionally smooth, and with every bite, one could feel the burst of freshness in the mouth.

Chen Ze wasn’t prideful; he had watched Ryan, a chef like that, cook. If Chen Ze couldn’t improve after that, he might as well buy a block of tofu and bash his head in.

Chen Ze’s attention was on the suit of armor next to Tony, naturally the infamous work of Tony and the most prominent feature of Iron Man. freewebnσvel.cѳm

One couldn’t deny it looked cool, fitting nicely with a man’s fantasy of piloting a Gundam—not that Chen Ze considered trying it. After all, he spent most of his time in the restaurant, and it wasn’t as if he could go out wearing the Iron Man suit, could he?

Even though one might say it was role-playing, Chen Ze always felt it was a bit off.

"Ah, satisfaction—haven’t had such delicious sashimi in a long time." Tony nodded contentedly, thinking he might go back for his favorite burger later.

"Manager, what would you like for the meal this time?" Tony looked at Chen Ze, unsure of what to give since last time he had given the WALL-E robot.

"Do you really like this?" Tony noticed Chen Ze’s gaze and then patted the suit of armor beside him.

"I do like it, but I have no intention of taking it." Chen Ze shook his head, planning to continue asking for the WALL-E robot.

"Give me the WALL-E robot then, but a better, upgraded version would be best." Chen Ze felt that an upgrade wouldn’t be difficult for Tony, considering he was the man who developed a whole array of armors.

With things like the Hulkbuster and the like, Chen Ze even thought that if Tony discovered time-travelers, he might even develop armor against time-travelers.

"Okay, I’ll have the improved WALL-E sent over tomorrow." Tony nodded; it was just a trifling matter to him; he didn’t care at all.

After sending Tony Stark away, Chen Ze suddenly slapped his forehead; he should have mentioned to Tony to bring Doctor Strange to his restaurant if he ever encounters him.

"What a blunder..." Chen Ze felt a bit queasy, considering that the Marvel Universe naturally had its means to control time.

Even though Chen Ze could also ask Doraemon for help, Doraemon hadn’t visited in a long time.

"Genos, this is the restaurant I was telling you about; the flavors are incredible." A bald man entered through the door.

"Okay, Master." The blonde cyborg followed behind.

"The most crucial point is still because it’s inexpensive," Chen Ze silently added in his heart.
