Chapter 237: Chapter 97 Hastur and Nyarlathotep

"Don’t cry, your brother will be fine," Chen Ze squatted down and rubbed Elena’s little head.

The little girl kept sobbing, her body trembling.

"Manager?" Betty looked at Chen Ze with teary eyes, she was very fond of the siblings, Andrew and Elena.

In them, Betty saw the kind side of humanity, which eased the pain in her own heart, having been deeply hurt by humans before.

But she hadn’t expected that in just such a short half-year, something like this would happen. She didn’t know what kind of beast could do such a thing.

Betty gritted her teeth in hatred, thinking that if she found out who it was, if only she knew... it seemed like there was nothing she could do.

It made Betty somewhat dejected, after all, it was by relying on Chen Ze that she had been able to push open the door of the Dream Restaurant and found redemption.

Chen Ze understood what Betty was getting at. After all, Betty was too easy to read, as if she wore her heart and emotions on her face.

"Don’t worry, I’ve already told Hastur to summon Nyarlathotep over," Chen Ze explained, and it was because of Hastur and Nyarlathotep that Chen Ze could be so relaxed.

"Phew... that’s good," Betty sighed with relief. She, of course, knew the might of Hastur and Nyarlathotep, which was indeed very formidable.

"Uncle, will my brother... will he really be fine?" Elena lifted her head, her big eyes brimming with a plea.

"Rest assured, he won’t be in any trouble," Chen Ze chuckled, with Nyarlathotep around, even if the Grim Reaper really existed, Chen Ze wasn’t worried about Nyarlathotep but was more concerned about how the Grim Reaper might meet his end.

"Thank you! Thank you, Uncle! I, Elena, will..." Elena tried to get up from the ground and was about to kneel down but was stopped by Chen Ze.

"No need, Elena, just grow up healthy with Andrew," Chen Ze did not want Elena to kneel down or become indebted to him like a servant.

He was not a feudal landlord, one who would forcibly take advantage of women at will.

"Elena, stop crying, can you tell Uncle what happened?" Chen Ze looked at Elena and asked very seriously.

"I... I don’t know... Today, I was at home sewing clothes waiting for my brother to come home, but after waiting for a long time, he didn’t show up, and then... then when I went to the academy... it... it..." Elena started crying again, but Chen Ze already had a rough idea of what had happened.

It seemed Andrew had died at the Knight Academy, the place he had longed for, the place that was supposed to change his destiny.

But what could be the reason for a child to suffer such torturous pain of being dismembered? Chen Ze couldn’t comprehend that, but no matter, once Nyarlathotep arrived, he would have his answers.

"Betty, please make a cup of warm honey water for Elena," Chen Ze instructed Betty. When a person is hurt, drinking warm water is much better than cold water.

"Okay, Manager," Betty wiped her tears and went to the kitchen to make the honey water.

"What’s happened?" Hastur entered, pushing the door open, with Nyarlathotep following behind.

Nyarlathotep’s attire made Chen Ze take second glance: a white lab coat and riot gear goggles, looking every bit the mad scientist.

"Is there something the matter? I was waiting to get back to my research," Nyarlathotep looked at Chen Ze, asking rapidly. He had been in the middle of an experiment in the lab when Hastur had pulled him away.

"So, this kid died, and I want Nyarlathotep to resurrect him and then restore his body," Chen Ze explained briefly.

"Okay, but I’ll need to take his body away," Nyarlathotep said indifferently, waving a hand. Resurrecting a dead person was no big deal for him.

"Eh? Can’t you do it here?" Chen Ze was a bit confused.

"Because the magic circle here is too powerful and the world’s rules are heavily suppressed. I don’t have the patience to drill a small hole," Nyarlathotep glanced at Hastur as he said this, referring to Hastur’s willingness to spend time drilling holes to play games.

However, there was another more important reason that Nyarlathotep didn’t mention. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

"Alright then, I’ll trouble you with one more thing. After you resurrect him, look into his memory and then use the most cruel means to take revenge on the person who killed Andrew," Chen Ze stated his second request without hesitation.

"The most cruel?" Nyarlathotep’s interest was piqued instantly, the malicious gleam in his eyes behind his glasses chilling to the bone.

"Yes," Chen Ze nodded. No matter the reason, tormenting a child like that was unforgivable.

"Hehe, I like it. I’ll agree to this condition for free, but in exchange, you need to help me find some books on psychology," Nyarlathotep said cheerfully.

"Psychology?" Chen Ze was a bit bewildered. Nyarlathotep was already an Outer God who toyed with people’s hearts; why would he want to read about psychology?

"Right, and about that robot from last time, do you still have it?" Nyarlathotep licked his lips, his expression a bit deranged.

"Not at the moment," Chen Ze shook his head. Tony Gou Dahu hadn’t come by yet, and he wondered if he was still partying.

"What a pity. Then I’ll take the body and leave," Nyarlathotep turned around, and Andrew’s body disappeared into thin air.

"Uncle..." Elena gently tugged at Chen Ze’s clothes.

"Don’t worry, Elena. Have something to eat, and you should be able to see your brother by tomorrow," Chen Ze looked toward Hastur, who was still dressed in his live-streaming attire and had not yet returned.

"Have my wages been paid out?" Hastur noticed Chen Ze’s gaze.

"Um... yes, they’ve been paid. Shall I transfer it to you?" Chen Ze nodded; he had made the payment already, but Hastur was not around at the time.

"That’s okay, I can withdraw it myself," Hastur waved a hand. The WeChat account he used was set up by Chen Ze, linked to his own salary card.

"By the way, can you tell the folks at Alipay to enable my account? Otherwise, every time there’s an Alipay event, I have to come to you. It’s such a hassle," Hastur complained, causing the corners of Chen Ze’s mouth to twitch.

What a joke. How was he to explain? To say that the great King in Yellow, Hastur, wanted to use their Alipay?

Chen Ze felt that this would only lead to being treated like a fool, followed by customer service’s polite phraseology, or if it was more serious, perhaps even a warm greeting from a mental hospital.

"Do you want to eat anything else? It’s rare that you visit," Chen Ze tied on his headscarf.

"Then give me a bowl of ramen. I’ve heard it’s quite tasty," Hastur settled himself naturally opposite Elena,

and started a staring contest with her.
