Chapter 194: Chapter 54: Restaurant Service Robots

Eventually, Takeshi Goda failed to persuade Doraemon to use the magnifying light on him, as Doraemon said that magnifying would likely cause trouble, so he refused Takeshi Goda’s request.

"Manager, this pig trotter rice is really delicious!" Betty said with a face full of pleasure, especially compared to the dark cuisine of yesterday, this pig trotter rice was simply a godsend.

"It’s alright, how is Lindsay doing with her studies?" Chen Ze asked while making Buffet.

"She can barely understand a bit now, but she doesn’t know if she can actually operate it," Betty nodded and then took another bite of the pig trotter.

The texture of this pig trotter was excellent, and Chen Ze had paired it with sauerkraut—each bite of pig trotter followed by a bite of sauerkraut was not only unfatty but delicious.

Chen Ze pondered, learning computer programming without a computer was indeed a bit too much to ask... even for a demon.

"How about this, I’ll go out and order a laptop later and let Lindsay try for herself." It was impossible to give the home computer to Lindsay for her studies, not to mention the games inside, the specs alone made Chen Ze reluctant to part with it so easily.

A beginner, after all, would be fine with a pretty basic computer; there weren’t so many particulars.

Betty’s tail waved excitedly, and Chen Ze glanced at her. He estimated she was probably thinking about playing games on that laptop.

"This place, it really is a magical place," Tony Stark said as he took the Buffet handed over by Chen Ze. He still found it a bit hard to imagine that such magical gadgets existed.

"Is this your payment to me?" Chen Ze didn’t respond to Tony’s amazement. Doraemon itself was already a very buggy existence.

If Doraemon took out an Earth creator or, say, an agricultural combo, it could easily change the entire world’s structure.

Fortunately, Doraemon didn’t think in that direction, and all Nobita probably thought about every day was how to flaunt his relationship with Shizuka and how to take revenge on Takeshi Goda for beating him up.

Chen Ze curiously examined the object before him—a small machine that looked like a little robot, but Chen Ze wasn’t clear on its use.

"Yeah, this is what I’ve painstakingly prepared for you~" Tony’s mood improved a lot when he talked about his invention, and he patted the little robot with an air of smugness.

"I’ve named it WALL-E—Restaurant Service Model." Chen Ze’s mouth twitched, the name WALL-E was definitely familiar, though it looked different.

"This device can record your menu and then use virtual technology to project a model of the dishes," Tony said, taking out a piece of paper and stuffing it into WALL-E’s mouth.

Chen Ze saw it clearly; it was a flyer from a burger joint.

"Big Mac Double," Tony uttered, and then WALL-E’s eyes emitted a deep blue light, after which a very realistic-looking hamburger appeared in front of it.

"Isn’t this just a very ordinary virtual projector?" Chen Ze found it a bit funny, this kind of device would be available on Earth in less than twenty years given the current level of technology.

"If it were just that, would I ever bring it out?" Tony became even more proud, then pressed a button on WALL-E’s back.

Chen Ze then saw WALL-E transform from what looked like a high-tech robot into a very ordinary bicycle.

Chen Ze was completely baffled; if the previous function was indeed useful, then this bicycle feature really made no sense.

A bicycle for my restaurant? It’s not a gym, after all. Do I plan to have customers play on a stationary bike after eating?

By the next day, Chen Ze could have received a plethora of compensation claims.

It’s common knowledge that it’s not good to do strenuous exercise after eating. freēwebnovel.com

"I guess your restaurant must have a lot of trouble not being open for business," Tony blinked, and Chen Ze was stunned for a moment, as he hadn’t really thought Tony would see through this.

"Moreover, from the looks of your clothing, you don’t seem as rich as I am. Without some kind of actual income, survival itself is a problem, right?" Tony said with an air of smugness, sparking an urge in Chen Ze to punch him.

"Actually, I know of someone who’s even richer than you," Chen Ze couldn’t resist making a retort.

"Who? I’m Tony Stark!" Tony immediately became disgruntled.

"Uncle Scrooge," Chen Ze smiled. What a joke, even if you tied up him and Batman from the DC household next door, neither would be as wealthy as this guy.

Tony paused, having never heard the name before.

"So, what exactly is the use of this bicycle?" Chen Ze still didn’t understand what purpose a bicycle could possibly serve for a restaurant.

"Simply put, this is a delivery bike, of the autonomous driving type." Tony took out a device, pressed it, and to Chen Ze’s amazement, a figure that looked just like Chen Ze popped up on the bicycle.

"This thing can deliver food and collect money automatically, I think you could really use it," Tony boasted, proud of the idea he came up with during the days he was trapped.

Chen Ze was indeed a little tempted, after all, money is not something anyone would find too much of. As for those who often complain that having money is a trouble, Chen Ze would just like to say, please let me have that trouble.

Whether it’s buying a house, a car, or even food ingredients, money is needed, and of course, Chen Ze wouldn’t admit that spending real money is also a significant factor.

After inquiring in detail with Tony, Chen Ze finally understood the specific usage of this gadget. It seemed it was time to consider making some money for a while.

"This thing can go up to a hundred kilometers per hour with no problem!" Tony patted the bicycle, and Chen Ze was beset with a face full of dismay. Me, cycling at a hundred kilometers per hour?

He’d probably make the news the next day. Chen Ze wasn’t planning to go racing, after all, even highways have speed limits not exceeding one hundred kilometers per hour.

"Thank you, I’m very satisfied," Chen Ze pressed a button on the bicycle, and it transformed back into the decidedly dorky-looking robot.

After seeing off Tony Stark, Chen Ze watched Betty washing dishes and couldn’t resist stretching; then the next moment, he felt a headache coming on.

"Am I... coming down with a cold?" Chen Ze rubbed his temples, it seemed he might need to take some medicine later.

"You lost, Nyarlathotep," Hastur said calmly as he tossed the playing cards on the table.

"Tch, let’s forget about what just happened."

Hastur, looking at the uninterested Nyarlathotep, felt he had to find something for him to do; lingering here wasn’t good either.

"I’m going to get something to eat, care to join me?" Hastur extended an errant hand.
