Chapter 108: Chapter 108: New Guests and Old Cuisine

The next day, Chen Ze woke up naturally since, for some reasons, the Spring Festival holiday had been extended this year, and he didn’t plan on setting up his stand during this time. After all, staying home and resting was still encouraged.

"It’s been a while since I slept in~" Chen Ze stretched, finding the occasional firm mattress to his liking, which, at the very least, seemed to have left him feeling quite refreshed.

Chen Ze turned his head and saw Yuna still sound asleep in bed, clearly exhausted by the look of it.

Chen Ze smiled and decided to go down and make some thin-skinned buns and, by the way, to open the restaurant for business.

But before that, he needed to take care of personal hygiene.

By the time Chen Ze had brushed his teeth, washed his face, and unlocked the restaurant, it was already nine in the morning.

"I wonder if there will be any new customers today?" Chen Ze touched the Arcane Wisdom Stone before heading back to the kitchen where he needed to prepare the dough, as the thin-skinned buns still needed time to rise.

"There isn’t much sheep’s tail left, seems like I’ll have to go to the wholesale market tomorrow to buy some." Chen Ze put the last sheep’s tail into the freezer, planning to save it for a hot pot.

Chen Ze placed the thin-skinned buns into the steamer, wiped off his sweat, and was about to go upstairs to wake Yuna when he heard the sound of wind chimes.

While wiping his hands, Chen Ze poked his head out to take a look, thinking it was probably Betty, as he had been opening the door rather early lately.

Then, Chen Ze saw a very familiar figure, not a past customer but a new one, yet with a highly recognizable face.

"Jarvis, have you figured out where we are?" The man, bearing a striking resemblance to Robert Downey Jr., spoke cautiously as he surveyed his surroundings.

"Sir, based on the current information, this appears to be a restaurant." Chen Ze’s mouth twitched. At first, he thought a big star from Earth had come to eat at his place, but now he was certain.

This wasn’t the Robert Downey Jr. he knew but rather Iron Man, Tony Stark.

"Welcome to Dream Restaurant, guest," Chen Ze clapped his hands and walked out.

Chen Ze was quite calm; having run his restaurant for so long, what kind of customer hadn’t he seen? Not to mention Iron Man, even if a Purple Sweet Potato Spirit walked in, Chen Ze could greet him with a composed demeanor.

"An Asian?" Tony turned to Chen Ze, observing the traditional chef’s attire, clearly marking Chen Ze as a chef.

"To be precise, I’m Chinese." Chen Ze led Tony to a seat.

"Interesting. Has your technology advanced to the point where you can set up a portal right inside my mansion?" Tony looked at Chen Ze warily; he didn’t believe for a second that such high-level technology belonged to a mere restaurant.

Yet Jarvis’s analysis told him that this was indeed just an ordinary restaurant, with a three-story structure.

"Actually, I can’t control where the portal appears," Chen Ze felt quite helpless; his portal had a mind of its own, and he really couldn’t control it.

"Aren’t you the owner? Why can’t you even control the door to your own restaurant?" Tony was still skeptical of Chen Ze.

"Perhaps... my door has its own thoughts?" Chen Ze didn’t hand the menu to Tony, Heaven only knows what would happen if Tony saw it.

"What? Interesting... What kind of technology is this? Why is it that you’re speaking Chinese, but to my ears, it sounds like the most authentic English?" Tony had obviously heard Jarvis’s analysis and now became even more curious about Chen Ze.

This was beyond the level of simultaneous interpretation; it was pure black technology. If it weren’t for Jarvis assuring him everything was normal, Tony might have blasted Chen Ze on the spot.

"Don’t ask; if you ask, it’s magic." Chen Ze suddenly realized, maybe Iron Man was just talkative, perhaps influenced by the young Spider-Man?

"Magic? Isn’t that something that only exists in fairy tales?" Tony said with a bit of disdain.

"What would you like to eat, guest?" Chen Ze took a deep breath, deciding not to explain anything; after all, Tony would naturally find out later.

"What do you have? Serve me a feast, as a celebration for just finishing a battle," Tony said calmly, resting his chin on his hand.

"Alright, but are you sure you want to eat dressed like that?" Chen Ze looked Tony up and down.

Tony was wearing his Iron Man suit, with only his face showing.

"Yes, I always wear my battle attire before going out, just in case of any emergencies," Tony said as he smiled at Chen Ze.

Chen Ze certainly understood what he meant; Tony was being cautious around him.

But Chen Ze didn’t mind, as long as Tony didn’t blast the floor with his repulsor beam, Chen Ze couldn’t care less about what he wore while eating.

Chen Ze returned to the kitchen and took a glance; the steamed dumplings still needed some time, so he could use this opportunity to make another dish.

Chen Ze stroked his chin, realizing he seemed to have forgotten something related to cooking.

"Never mind, I’ll make braised chicken with soy sauce, a light cheesecake, and Paluda. I guess he probably can’t handle Mapo Tofu, right?" Chen Ze tied on his headband.

The tastes of foreigners differ from Chinese, and American Chinese food is usually adapted, so Chen Ze wasn’t sure if traditional Chinese cuisine would satisfy Tony.

"Mapo Tofu? Mapo Tofu?!" Chen Ze remembered what he had forgotten, he quickly rushed up to the second floor, pushed open a room, and saw Liu Maoxing asleep on the couch.

"My god... I almost forgot about Liu Maoxing!" Chen Ze hadn’t thought about Liu Maoxing on the second floor at all yesterday. freeweɓnovel.cøm

Chen Ze hurried over and nudged Liu Maoxing, then he noticed a pocket on Liu Maoxing’s waist.

"Liu Maoxing?" Chen Ze called out softly.

"What time is it..." Liu Maoxing opened his eyes and wearily rubbed his head.

"Liu Maoxing, it’s already half past ten," Chen Ze checked his phone, unsure if Liu Maoxing still remembered what happened yesterday.

"Sss... My head hurts so much..." The corner of Chen Ze’s mouth twitched; it was no wonder, with such strong alcohol and drinking so much in one go, it would be a miracle if he hadn’t gotten drunk.

"Manager, I’m sorry, I don’t really remember the previous events." After a while, Liu Maoxing finally recovered a bit and looked at Chen Ze apologetically.

"Haha... Ah... No need to be polite, are you okay?" Chen Ze didn’t bring up yesterday’s events.

"I’m okay, just a bit of a headache... Oh, right, Manager, I brought some of my ingredients, let me cook a dish for you," Liu Maoxing said, touching the pocket on his waist and looking apologetically at Chen Ze.

"Eh? Sure, that’s fine." Chen Ze almost laughed out loud, Liu Maoxing brought his ingredients? Did that mean he could also taste a glowing dish too?

"Alright, the ingredients I brought are still for Mapo Tofu, so let’s make Magical Mapo Tofu again this time."

Chen Ze suddenly felt that Tony must also carry the Empress of Europa trait; otherwise, how could he get to eat a glowing dish the moment he arrived?
