Chapter 1400: Chapter 1400: Who Do You Think You Are?

Chu Biyao, showing off her favorite toy, revealed a glimpse of Ye Fan’s identity, which caused an uproar among her companions. Their expressions as they looked at Ye Fan became quite intriguing.

The reason she did this was to warn her friends to take her brother-in-law very seriously and avoid provoking him. Otherwise, the consequences would be unbearable for ordinary people.

Even if Ye Fan didn’t mind, there would be someone who would trouble those who were disrespectful to him. If they ended up unlucky without knowing why, it would be quite unfair. Chu Biyao’s warning was to ensure her friends avoided such situations.

"Big Sis, I must say, your brother-in-law is nothing short of a godly figure," one person exclaimed in shock. "He’s got great skills, is a low-key wealthy man, and is so down-to-earth. Such rare qualities!"

"Sigh!" A female celebrity looked at Chu Biyao and said sourly, "Big Sis, you clearly could lead a carefree life, but you also have so much talent. It’s truly enviable for us."

An onlooker curiously asked, "Big Sis, does your brother-in-law have any brothers at home? I’m a well-rounded, virtuous maiden. If there are any brothers, you must introduce one to me."

"There are no brothers, but there’s a sister. If you’re interested, I can introduce her. It would be a grand spectacle if you had an ancient romance," Chu Biyao said mischievously, smiling.

"Big Sis, you’re so wicked. That’s too much," someone complained.

Chu Biyao said nonchalantly, "If you really have talent, why not pursue my brother-in-law? If someone has the ability to move in on my sister’s territory, then they’re capable, and I won’t blame anyone."

"Pfft, forget it. We shouldn’t embarrass ourselves and provoke unnecessary trouble."

"Exactly, Mr. Ye is out of reach for us. Nobody dares to insult themselves like that."

"Going after the man of the top female mogul in Huaxia without the determination or courage? Who would dare to do that?"

"Big Sis, you’re so devious, tricking others into pursuing your brother-in-law. What’s your intention?"

Several female celebrities spoke up, feeling both helpless and amused by Chu Biyao’s odd suggestion.

They knew Chu Biyao’s character well. She was clearly intent on watching a good show, so they wouldn’t embarrass themselves.

"Sigh, I’m really disappointed. I was hoping to watch you all get rejected with gray faces. It seems you all have self-awareness, and now I can’t even watch a good drama," Chu Biyao grumbled in disappointment.

"You’re the worst, rotten to the core, incurable," someone laughed and complained.

Through Chu Biyao’s introduction, they learned that Ye Fan had been engaged to Chu Mengyao. Although it was low-key back then and was reported by the media, it happened so long ago that they couldn’t remember it clearly.

A woman looked at Chu Biyao and teased, "Big Sis, I’m curious how your brother-in-law distinguishes between you and your sister. Isn’t there a chance of confusion?"

"He can tell at a glance, so don’t overthink it," Chu Biyao laughed. "My brother-in-law often displays judgment and insight beyond human comprehension. This little thing can’t fool him."

"So knowledgeable, could it be that someone wishes to recognize the wrong person and mistake the sister-in-law for the sister? That would be fun," a woman joked.

"You’re incorrigible, I refuse to engage with you," Chu Biyao shot a glance.

While Chu Biyao and the women were chatting, Guan Shaoqiu’s manager, Sister Zhao, approached Ye Fan.

"Look, Guan Shaoqiu is acting up again. I wonder what the manager is up to," a woman chuckled. "I hope Guan Shaoqiu knows his place. If he offends Mr. Ye, there won’t be anywhere to cry later."

"I, for one, hope the arrogant Guan Shaoqiu gets unlucky; there will be a show to watch then," someone said with schadenfreude.

All eyes filled with interest turned to where Ye Fan and Sister Zhao stood.

"Your last name is Ye, right? There’s a job that maybe you’d be very interested in," Sister Zhao said to Ye Fan with a condescending attitude.

Ye Fan turned his head and glanced at the unfamiliar woman, then nonchalantly said, "Who are you?"

Unimpressed by Sister Zhao’s superior gaze and demeanor, Ye Fan didn’t feel the need to be polite in his words.

"Who am I?" Sister Zhao’s anger flared up instantly. "Surname Ye, show some respect. Without looking at your identity, how dare you act so arrogantly? You’re too rude."

Her arrogance was learned from Guan Shaoqiu. In her naive understanding, Ye Fan was just a martial artist. For such people, offering a decent salary would easily have them at her beck and call.

However, Ye Fan’s dismissive attitude, from the moment he spoke, left her utterly furious.

If she wasn’t controlling her anger to maintain calm, she would have exploded long ago.

"Look at you, an ignorant woman who doesn’t know the meaning of respect. You say I’m rude, but I think you’re the rudest," Ye Fan retorted impolitely.

"I’m ignorant? I’m rude?" Sister Zhao pointed at herself, her expression turning grim. After pondering seriously for a moment, she thought to herself, "He’s just a rough and arrogant martial artist. Why bother with him? That would be demeaning. Once he’s working under Guan Shao, I’ll have plenty of ways to deal with him. By then, he’ll be crying."

Sister Zhao, thinking of ways to discipline him, smiled and decided not to stoop to his level. She fancied herself as magnanimous, not fussing over details with ordinary people.

"Let me introduce myself. I’m Guan Shaoqiu’s manager, Sister Zhao. Guan Shao is interested in having you as his stunt double. The terms are negotiable, guaranteed to satisfy you. How does that sound?" Sister Zhao laid out her offer.

"Guan Shaoqiu? Who’s that?" Ye Fan asked.

He genuinely didn’t know who Guan Shaoqiu was, and wasn’t pretending to ask.

"Hahaha, hahahaha..." Many people around burst into laughter, each trying to hide their loss of composure.

Observing Ye Fan’s serious expression, many could see that he truly didn’t know who Guan Shaoqiu was.

Some believed Ye Fan was just pretending.

However, either way, it couldn’t stop the onlookers’ amused reaction.

"You..." Sister Zhao, pointing at Ye Fan, almost burst with anger.
