Chapter 2632: Chapter 539: Arrival at Laidi (Part 4)

Immortal Lord Yao Tu saw the cultivators of the Human Clan and immediately descended from the flying boat. Upon seeing the cultivator across from her, a look of surprise appeared on her face. She was certain it was her first time meeting this Human Clan cultivator, yet somehow he seemed familiar.

She didn’t think much of it and simply tossed the Heaven and Earth Ring given to her by Cao Zhen towards the other party, saying, "The people are yours; what’s in this ring is theirs. I must head to the Central Continent first."

On the opposite side, Cao Zhonghua nodded slightly, not feeling strange because the other party was an alien female cultivator. His father had already sent word back that their Human Clan was forming an alliance with the Demon Clan, Beast Clan, Prison clan, and Insect Clan. This time, many alien cultivators would escort the Central Continent’s mortals into their Eastern Province, and they had to send people to receive these mortals.

He observed the other party, feeling peculiar about her aura. It was strange that she appeared to be from the Demon Clan, yet her aura was of the Beast Clan. Although she didn’t deliberately exude pressure, seeing her gave him the illusion of immense strength.

He was, after all, Cao Zhen’s son. Though his cultivation base was not particularly high, he had met many formidable experts. Yet, the aura emanating from this unknown alien female cultivator seemed higher than those of the experts he had encountered. He even felt that her aura was akin to that of Sword Lord San Cai.

Sword Lord San Cai was an existence in the Golden Immortal Realm. How could this female cultivator possibly be in the Golden Immortal Realm? How could a Golden Immortal be undertaking the task of escorting mortals?

Despite his surprise, Cao Zhonghua entered the flying boat and piloted it directly towards the pre-arranged area for these Central Continent mortals.

Meanwhile, he spoke as he rode: "Everyone, we have already selected a place for you. Close to our Hundred Peaks Sect, there is a place called the Welcomia District.

Due to certain reasons, the population there is not large. We have already built a village and a large city for you there. You can choose to go to the village or the city."

Due to the Hundred Peaks Sect, many mortals from Welcomia District chose to gradually migrate and settle in the Hundred Peaks Sect’s territory.

Soon, the flying boat arrived at the Welcomia District.

As Cao Zhonghua waved his hand, the flying boat suddenly became transparent. He further lowered the boat and pointed downward: "That city below is the one built for you.

There are also houses in the city, which can be allocated based on your numbers. Additionally, there are many shops in the city, and you can apply for one. Naturally, the houses in the city are not as large as those in the village.

Soon, I will land the flying boat on the ground. Those who choose to enter the city can disembark directly. If you prefer not to settle in the city, you can remain aboard the boat, and I will take you to see your village."

Inside the flying boat, many mortals were startled into screams when the flying boat suddenly became transparent, allowing them to see below. Gradually, some either refrained from looking, letting the men of their families take a look, or slowly adjusted.

From the heights, the newly built city appeared before them. They had never seen such a large city before.

The only large city they had seen was in the Central Continent, which had been destroyed. Now, they felt that even if that city hadn’t been destroyed, it wouldn’t be as large as the one before them!

Towering walls surrounded the city, wide and strong, like a massive barrier protecting the prosperity and tranquility within.

The city had four large gates in total, and on either side of each gate were two smaller gates. This design ensured that even during crowded periods, entering and exiting the city wouldn’t be delayed.

Inside the walls, straight and spacious streets crisscrossed, forming a precise grid that lent the city a clear and orderly layout. Along the streets stood rows of ancient-style buildings characterized by a simple and elegant style. Most of these buildings were constructed with gray bricks and tiles, their roofs covered in black glazed tiles, presenting an ancient and solemn atmosphere.

Despite the short time span, even the exterior walls of the buildings bore some carvings.

Between the edifices along the streets, neat rows of greenery and flowers created green barriers. The central part of the street featured a wide and flat stone pavement, with drainage ditches on either side ensuring that, during rainfall, water could be channeled into the moat.

The city’s center was a wide and open square.

Because it was a newly built city, there were not many pedestrians in it at the moment.

The people looked at the passers-by below, speaking curiously.

"There are people?"

"It seems some shops are open too. Are those here before us people from the Central Continent?"

Hearing this, Cao Zhonghua gently shook his head: "They are not from the Central Continent but rather from the Eastern Province. After all, a city and a village are different. Building a new city without any initial population makes its continued development difficult. So, the people you see in the city are from the Eastern Province, mostly merchants. They learned you were coming, saw a business opportunity, and settled here in advance.
