Chapter 286: Clarity
"What the fuck do you mean I can only fuck and fight?" Damian blurted out.
The words echoed across the living room as he stared at Rin and his wives with complete disbelief. Moments ago they had calmly explained what the life of an immortal looked like. According to them, his clones would handle the expansion of his influence, his followers would spread his faith, his servants would manage his territories, and his role was simply to continue growing stronger while enjoying the benefits of godhood.
The more Damian listened, the worse it sounded.
To them, it was normal.
To him, it sounded unbearable.
Rin sat comfortably on the couch while his tails swayed lazily behind him. "You need to get used to routines. That’s the only way you can get stronger."
Damian immediately shook his head.
An empty existence was not a routine, I was stagnation. There was a difference. He refused to dress it up with pretty words.
This was no different from locking himself inside a mansion forever while other people lived his life for him. All just for endless sex that wouldn’t grant him peanuts compared to before?
"No. I cannot agree to this." He rose to his feet immediately.
The movement drew everyone’s attention.
Hazel tilted her head slightly. "Then what do you plan to do?"
A mischievous grin slowly appeared on Damian’s face. The expression immediately made Rin nervous.
Whenever Damian smiled like that, trouble usually followed.
"Take part in spreading my own religion. If I’m going to live forever, I might as well get involved in it."
Rachel immediately approached and grabbed his hand.
"That’s not how it works."
She shook her head firmly.
"You are a demigod now. There is a limit to how much you can interfere in mortal affairs. You are no different from us."
Damian listened patiently before shaking his head.
"With all due respect, we are very different."
His answer came without hesitation.
"I’m a god who can legally interfere in the lives of people as long as they pray to me. I can exploit loopholes you don’t have access to."
None of them could immediately refute that. Technically speaking, he was correct.
The authority of the Sin of Lust was fundamentally different from ordinary demigods.
His influence naturally extended through desire, worship, temptation, dreams and faith.
This was something they can only achieve at God realm yet princes can play god as early as demigod realm. Clearly they are not the same.
Damian crossed his arms and continued.
"I’m not spending the next few thousand years hiding in a mansion, fucking you three while my clones do all the interesting things."
The more he thought about it, the more certain he became. His dream had never truly disappeared.
It had merely been pushed aside.
Now that he understood the limitations and opportunities available to him, everything became clear again.
Judge Hill was what he achieved without the demigod realm. Now President Hill, seemed very possible.
A long breath escaped him as the frustration from moments ago vanished. For the first time since becoming a demigod, he felt excited.
He finally had direction again.
The discussion had given him exactly what he needed.
Clarity.
Then suddenly his body froze and his eyes narrowed. A familiar voice echoed inside his mind.
’You are more interesting than you look. How about we make a deal?’
The voice belonged to Rah.
Damian slowly turned toward the distant ocean. The crashing waves below the cliffs seemed louder than usual.
Immediately his wives followed his gaze and they knew that look instantly
Ruby’s expression darkened first.
"That bitch is talking to you telepathically, isn’t she?"
Damian didn’t answer.
"Stay here."
The words had barely left his mouth before his body blurred.
Swoosh!
The space above the cliffs distorted. An instant later Damian appeared before Rah.
The Kasok princess remained suspended against the cliffside.
The massive green serpents continued weaving through stone and flesh alike, maintaining their horrific prison. Their venomous influence had spread across her body, turning her once vibrant blue skin into an unhealthy shade of purple.
Her condition was pitiful. Sweat drenched her clothing, revealing her juicy nipples and her breathing remained shallow.
Her eyelids trembled with exhaustion. Yet despite everything, she still possessed a strange beauty.
A dangerous beauty. free𝑤ebnovel.com
One that somehow survived even torture. For a brief moment Damian simply stared.
Then he sighed internally.
’Beautiful.’
The thought came uninvited.
Rah’s weakened consciousness brushed against his.
’I have an artifact that can help you find the mortal you were searching for.’
Unable to speak properly through the pain, she continued communicating directly through his mind. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Damian’s eyes narrowed slightly.
’And what do you want in exchange?’
’My freedom.’
’I refuse.’
The rejection came so quickly that Rah visibly froze.
For several seconds she simply stared at him.
She genuinely hadn’t expected him to reject the offer immediately.
’My devotees will find them eventually.’ Damian’s tone remained calm. ’I gain more by keeping you here.’
The blunt honesty left Rah speechless. At least for a moment.
Then she frowned. As expected, she had prepared another proposal.
’I’m not asking you to release me completely.’
Her mental voice sounded noticeably weaker now.
’At least free me from this suffering. It’s not like I can escape you.’
This time Damian did not reject the suggestion immediately. His gaze drifted across the serpents, then toward the ocean.
Then back toward her.
’You wanted to sleep with her and create a divine avatar, didn’t you?’
Rin’s voice suddenly entered his thoughts.
’Now is the opportunity.’
Damian slowly turned his head. Far away, standing on the balcony, Rin stared right back at him.
The fox even had the audacity to give him an encouraging nod and Damian held his gaze for several seconds.
Then sighed heavily.
"Alright."
The decision had barely been made when the serpents exploded.
Puff!
Green blood mist scattered into the wind and the oppressive pressure vanished instantly.
For the first time, Rah’s body became free. Her weakened limbs immediately gave out and she fell forward.
Damian instinctively caught her.
The princess collapsed against his chest without resistance and her body trembled.
The suffering had finally stopped.
After enduring hours between consciousness and agony, her body no longer possessed the strength necessary to remain awake.
’Thank you.’
The words reached him as little more than a fading whisper and then silence followed. Rah’s eyes closed completely and her head rested against his shoulder.
The accumulated exhaustion finally overwhelmed her.
Damian remained hovering above the crashing ocean while holding her unconscious form. For several moments he simply stared at the distant horizon without speaking.
Far away, his wives watched from the mansion balcony.
Hazel folded her arms, Ruby narrowed her eyes and Rachel merely sighed.
Meanwhile Rin sat proudly atop the railing.
The fox looked entirely too pleased with himself and for some reason that annoyed Damian more than anything else.
