Chapter 38: The New Artists

The day had finally arrived.

The entire entertainment industry seemed to stop and watch. Millions of fans were already connected to the livestream.

The comment section moved so quickly that it became impossible to read. Speculations flooded every platform.

Was Pulse announcing a new album?

A world tour?

A new member?

A dating scandal?

Nobody knew. And that uncertainty only made the anticipation worse.

Backstage, however, the atmosphere was complete chaos.

Especially because Emily had somehow become the commander of the dressing rooms.

"No one moves!"

Everyone stopped.

"Rose, sit down." Rose immediately obeyed.

"Nicole, stop touching your hair." Nicole pulled her hand away.

"Nicolo, stop looking at yourself in the mirror."

"That’s impossible."

Emily pointed at him.

"Exactly."

Rose was the first to finish. The transformation was astonishing.

Her short blonde wavy hair framed her delicate face beautifully. Her blue eyes seemed brighter beneath the professional makeup.

Emily had dressed her in a white and silver stage outfit consisting of a fitted cropped jacket, a pleated skirt, and knee-high boots.

The outfit gave her the appearance of a young idol ready to stand beneath bright stage lights.

She looked elegant and confident. Like she belonged on a concert stage.

Nicole stared. "You look amazing."

Rose smiled. "So do you."

Nicole’s appearance was completely different.

Her long black hair remained straight, with her bangs perfectly framing her face.

Emily had chosen a black-and-silver outfit accented with subtle blue details. A fitted top paired with a stylish skirt created a youthful yet sophisticated image.

Her black eyes seemed larger under the soft makeup. Combined with her naturally cute features, she looked like the type of idol fans would instantly adore.

River, who accidentally walked past the dressing room, stopped walking. Then forgot why he was there.

Robin physically dragged him away.

Meanwhile, Nicolo was enjoying every second of his transformation.

The modeling division had dressed him in a tailored black suit with silver accents.

His hair was styled neatly. His posture was straight. His appearance carried a calm confidence.

For the first time in his life, he genuinely looked like a professional model. Unfortunately, his personality remained the same.

"I knew I was born for this."

Nathan sighed. "Please stop."

Then everyone looked toward Nathan.

And immediately understood why the company wanted him. He looked good. Really good.

The stylists had dressed him similarly to Pulse. A fitted dark jacket. Simple accessories. Clean styling.

His naturally handsome features combined with his athletic build gave him the appearance of someone who already belonged in the entertainment industry.

Nathan stared at his reflection. "I still don’t know how to sing."

River patted his shoulder. "Minor detail."

Finally, everyone looked toward Liliana.

The room became completely silent. Even Emily stopped talking. Because the woman standing before them looked nothing like the Liliana everyone knew.

The thick glasses were gone. The familiar pigtails had disappeared. Her long brown hair flowed softly down her back.

Her makeup was minimal. Natural yet elegant. Just enough to highlight her features. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Yet somehow, she looked breathtaking.

Emily had chosen a flowing ivory dress that reached the floor. The fabric moved gracefully with every step. Delicate embroidery decorated the sleeves and waist. The design wasn’t flashy. It didn’t need to be.

Because Liliana herself attracted attention. Her emerald-green eyes seemed brighter, softer and warmer.

There was something about her that couldn’t be explained. Something gentle, mature and elegant.

She carried herself with quiet confidence. Not the confidence of someone seeking attention. But the confidence of someone comfortable with herself.

For several seconds nobody spoke. Then Nicolo broke the silence.

"Wow."

Everyone nodded. Even Emily looked emotional.

"My masterpiece."

Liliana immediately shook her head. "No."

Emily pointed dramatically. "You are."

At exactly two in the afternoon, the press conference began.

The livestream audience exceeded several million viewers. Reporters filled the conference hall. Camera flashes exploded endlessly.

Pulse entered first. Chris, Leo, Aaron and River. Followed by Matthew St. Claire.

The audience applauded immediately. The members sat down. Questions were already being shouted. But something caught everyone’s attention. There were several empty seats. The reporters exchanged confused looks.

The internet exploded again.

Who were those seats for?

Additional members?

New artists?

Special guests?

Nobody knew.

Matthew adjusted the microphone. "Good afternoon."

The room immediately quieted.

"I know everyone has many questions."

That was an understatement.

"We will answer them shortly."

A reporter immediately raised a hand. "Chairman Matthew, are the recent rumors true?"

Another stood. "Who were the people with Pulse?"

Another. "Are any of them dating the members?"

The room erupted again. Matthew raised a hand. Instant silence followed.

"Allow me to introduce them properly."

The large screen behind the stage illuminated. Everyone held their breath.

Then the doors opened.

The first person to enter was Nathan. The reaction was immediate. People recognized him.

"Wait!"

"That’s Chaos!"

The gaming community exploded online. Because Nathan was a famous tournament player, the rising esports competitor. A young man who had built a large following through competitive gaming.

The livestream chat instantly flooded.

CHAOS?!

HE’S REAL?!

HE’S JOINING ST. CLAIRE?!

Nathan looked like he wanted to run away.

Next came Nicolo.

The room became quieter. Then louder. Very loud.

The cameras loved him immediately. University students watching the livestream recognized him at once.

"That’s Nicolo!"

"He studies architecture!"

"He goes to our university!"

"He really looks like an idol!"

Social media exploded again.

When Rose entered next, the reaction somehow became even worse.

Her blonde hair, blue eyes and elegant idol appearance made the audience stare.

Several reporters forgot to write notes. Others forgot their questions. One photographer lowered his camera. Just to make sure she was real.

Nicole followed and the internet completely lost control. Especially when her name appeared beside the future girl group, Rhythm.

River’s fans immediately recognized her. The same mysterious girl from the villa. The comment section became unreadable. And thousands of messages appeared every second.

Then the doors opened one final time. And Liliana entered.

The entire room froze. Not quiet but completely frozen. As if time itself had stopped. Because photographs hadn’t done her justice. Not even close.

The woman walking toward the stage possessed a beauty that cameras couldn’t properly capture.

She wasn’t glamorous in an aggressive way. She wasn’t trying to dominate the room.

Yet somehow, everyone looked at her. And kept looking. Her aura felt different from everyone else.

Gentle, elegant, refined. Mature. She carried herself with a natural grace that made her seem almost unreal. Like a character from a painting. Like someone who belonged in another world.

The cameras flashed endlessly. The livestream comments stopped making sense.

Some people forgot to type words entirely. Others simply posted random letters.

One comment became viral within seconds.

"Chris never stood a chance."

When Liliana sat down beside him, the entire internet collectively understood one thing.

The chemistry between them was impossible to ignore.

And Chris St. Claire looked entirely too happy about it.
