Chapter 153: Chapter 153: Your Wife Asked Me to Tell You...

After the passage between worlds opened, Ding Ning and the other Lords immediately wanted to rush out and seize territories of their own.

They had breached the passage just to be a step ahead—Ding Ning had always been straightforward; her earlier attempt to sabotage the passage from within and destroy it had failed.

Because Jiang Che had killed so many people in one go, he directly cemented the passage.

But failure was just failure; the odds of success for that plan were never high to begin with.

She wasn’t one to live in the past and never move on.

Since things had already happened, she would focus on doing it as best as she could—now that the passage between the two worlds was open, she would compete with the other Lords to seize territory.

But at the moment the passage unlocked, the ones who rushed out first weren’t the Dungeon Lords.

It was the Dark Forest.

At first, just a single tree seed shot out.

They saw it happen, but didn’t pay it any mind.

Because they wanted to snatch land, and so did the Dark Forest—perfectly normal.

The only thing they didn’t expect was once the Dark Forest entered the Human Realm, it began to grow and expand madly, claiming territory.

Ironically, there was a long queue outside the exit—crowds had gathered.

After the finger-man incident, they stopped venturing into the dungeon but hadn’t left.

With nothing else to occupy them, now they just wanted to see if, after three days, anyone would escape the dungeon.

The Dark Forest didn’t expect either that the exit would be surrounded by so much "nutrient".

The upper echelons of humanity didn’t know about the Dark Forest’s aura; they’d never tried to reach the dungeon’s edge, their focus always on clearing it.

Even if they’d seen the Dark Forest, they thought it was just another strange stage in the dungeon.

The evil spirits wouldn’t proactively share this information about the Dark Forest with humans.

The Evil Spirit Lords hadn’t realized so many humans would cluster together, packed around the dungeon entrance.

As soon as the Dark Forest tree seed emerged, it immediately found plenty of nutrients to breed and grow.

According to their calculations, it was normal for the Dark Forest to come out through the passage—it was already everywhere; they needed to anchor their own territory with their spirit as a marker to keep out the forest’s spread.

They planned to sweep out the Dark Forest quickly, or at least to compete for land with it once outside.

Never did they expect so much "nourishment" outside, letting the Dark Forest proliferate and block up the passage completely.

The first tree seed out was a mother-seed, and the Lords found eliminating it extremely complicated.

This mother-plant was already at the level of an average Lord.

Its fierce, gnarled roots drove into the passageway hard, blocking it brutally and refusing to let any Lord exit.

Ding Ning listened to the urgent communication Xiong Jie sent, then quickly checked Jiang Che’s current situation through Tuantuan and Jiang Che’s mind link.

Jiang Che crouched on the ground, bracing himself against it.

He squeezed his eyes shut, eyeballs spinning wildly beneath his lids, his tightly furrowed brows showing just how badly he was struggling.

What Tuantuan saw of Jiang Che was a half-transparent vision.

Right now, starting from Jiang Che’s location as the center, wall after wall was rising—tall, gray-white walls with peeling paint, every section almost identical.

The rooms appearing here had no differences at all: neatly arranged beds, with wrist and ankle straps on either side.

The territory was still expanding.

If unchecked, every area anchored by Jiang Che would become an enormous mental asylum.

"Master, he looks like he’s suffering really badly, is there anything we can do for him?" Xiong Jie was extremely anxious; they were all too weak to have any idea what to do.

Ding Ning stared at the blocked passage, the Dark Forest sealing it so tightly there was no way out.

This mother-plant wasn’t particularly strong—just at the level of an average Lord—the Lords could eliminate it with some time, but due to the Dark Forest’s unique resilience, expanding even a little into the forest had always been so difficult for them.

Clearing this mother-plant would take a vast amount of time.

The Dark Forest never expected a single mother plant could permanently seal the passage—it just tried to buy itself more time to expand and grow.

Ding Ning’s expression was grim; this wasn’t the time for the supernatural to descend on reality—she had no way to reach the Human Realm, even as a Lord.

This was why the Lords were so eager to open the passage: only if it’s unlocked could they enter the Human Realm at will.

Ding Ning could only watch him suffer, unable to help at all.

She could descend, but it wouldn’t help; this trial had to be endured by Jiang Che alone.

This was a rite all anchor setters must go through.

The scenes formed inside the anchored zone represent a person’s potential—the more worlds emerge, the stronger the consciousness.

Like in Flying Tiger Dad’s domain—all those manifested eyes cover only a small area, and the projection above is just a shadow.

The creations from the anchors are measured only by size.

Projection abilities are all assigned by the Lord after their own evolution.

This was what humanity’s upper ranks wanted to see: human powers awakening, developing unique skills.

Without strong willpower, there was no way so many scenes could appear spontaneously on empty land.

Yet there was also the risk: if the will isn’t strong enough, all these scenes could drain Jiang Che’s mind dry.

"He can hear you now—tell him, don’t imagine things inside the mental hospital, keep your mind blank," Ding Ning’s fingers tightened, her only option was to direct Xiong Jie to support him at the side.

Blank thoughts may waste the anchor’s potential, but that’s much better than draining yourself completely.

By emptying the mind, the evolution of the scene would halt.

She didn’t tell Xiong Jie that blank thoughts waste potential—the state Jiang Che was in was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a Lord.

Jiang Che hadn’t reached the limit for scene evolution yet—his potential was something she’d never seen before.

If he could endure it, Jiang Che would gain something terrifying from it.

But now, it was obvious Jiang Che couldn’t bear it anymore—not that it mattered.

Survival was more important than anything.

Xiong Jie nodded, running quickly to Jiang Che’s side, speaking fast next to his ear, "Jiang Che, can you hear me?"

"Listen to me..." Xiong Jie finished the sentence and suddenly realized his method was wrong.

Because Jiang Che might not listen to him.

"Your wife asked me to tell you..." Xiong Jie shouted loudly into Jiang Che’s ear.

Sure enough, as soon as he said this, Jiang Che’s tightly furrowed brow relaxed a little.
