Chapter 136: Chapter 136: He Is My Lover

Ding Ning heard his words, but she ignored him. She just looked down from the void, watching Jiang Che below.

"You don’t need to know what to do, you just need to know what you want to do. Just take the lead," said the cold voice of the gun pressed against Jiang Che’s lower back.

Seeing everyone focus their attention on Jiang Che, Hua stepped forward, "Is it possible that he doesn’t know how to clear this stage? Maybe only I know?" Hua’s red hair was flamboyant.

"Do you all know what the different colored wristbands on your hands mean?" Hua said with a smile.

As she spoke, the others finally shifted their gaze to their own wrists, looking at the wristbands that had appeared once they passed through the gate.

The wristbands on different people were different colors. Scanning the people around, they counted and realized there were as many as ten distinct colors.

At first, everyone had been wondering what these things were for, but later, there was no time to think about it.

Now that Hua brought it up, they regained their composure and started to contemplate again.

"Little girl, are you saying the key to passing this round is in these wristbands?"

"Or do you think they just put these on you to look good?" Hua shot a glance at the speaker.

"Then tell us, what does the wristband stand for?"

"Factions." Hua raised her hand high. On her wrist was a white wristband—the same as the one on Jiang Che’s wrist, both white.

Feihu watched as Hua grabbed her own wrist, lifting their arms together.

"The reason I saved her is simple: we both have white wristbands," Hua said blandly.

Feihu’s breathing quickened, because she knew better than anyone else that her own band wasn’t white.

When had it changed color?

She looked down at the wrists of Jiang Che and his group; as expected, they were all white.

So, can you choose your own faction?

Or does this red-haired girl have the power to change wristband colors?

No sooner had Hua spoken than those with different colored wristbands immediately distanced themselves from the others.

Seeing that Jiang Che’s group wore white bands, they wanted to spot anyone else on their side—but there was no one.

In the huge crowd, aside from Feihu, no one shared their color.

"Factions—what do these factions represent?" Dozens of gun barrels pointed at Jiang Che and his companions, because they were the unique "white."

Hua shrugged, mocking the crowd with a look, refusing to say another word.

Jiang Che coldly eyed those with guns trained on him, then snapped his fingers. Centered on Jiang Che, a deep pit opened beneath him.

Those wielding weapons crashed heavily to the ground, unable to move at all.

He never felt anything for these people, and he always abided by one rule.

That is, whether ghosts or humans, anyone who lays a hand on him, he spares no mercy.

With another snap, those collapsed on the ground had their bodies forced deep into the earth, crushed to a pulp.

Jiang Che pushed the gravity field to the max, even micro-managing it not to involve those who hadn’t attacked him.

"Didn’t expect you to be so merciful," Hua raised an eyebrow at Jiang Che.

She gave Jiang Che a discreet look; she knew what skills Jiang Che possessed, but hadn’t expected his mastery to be so deep.

"The others didn’t make a move on me," Jiang Che cut off her question.

Those still thinking of challenging Jiang Che fell silent, glancing down at the meat paste the gravity field had pressed into the earth, then at their own wrists, weighing their ability to oppose Jiang Che.

[Ten people have died. The faction ranking list is now open. The top three factions earn the right to survive.]

Just as no one knew what to do next, a system prompt appeared in midair.

At the same moment, the same prompt—and a ranking list—appeared in everyone’s mind.

[Congratulations, you have become a Faction Representative in the dungeon. Hunt members of other factions for a chance to survive.]

First place on the ranking list wasn’t pinned to any named faction—just displayed "White."

Ding Ning frowned. White obviously stood for Jiang Che’s group.

She turned her head toward Dark Star—the ranking was clearly his doing at a glance.

Noticing Ding Ning looking his way, Dark Star just grinned and shrugged. "This was part of the plan anyway. And if we use your little boyfriend as a target, maybe it’ll trigger even more slaughter."

"After all, the top-ranked white group is the one with the fewest members and is easy to gang up on." Dark Star pouted.

"If...if he ends up dead, you can go after the birdman for revenge." Dark Star sneered with a wicked laugh.

Ding Ning rolled her eyes at him, then reached over and plunged her hand into his chest.

Most of those who came here were just phantom clones—even though things blew up at the last meeting, it didn’t mean he’d pass up stirring up this mess.

Attacking a phantom clone is usually pointless.

Dark Star didn’t dodge, but in the next second, he saw Ding Ning open her mouth before him.

"Mirror Swap."

In an instant, he felt his real self and his phantom clone switch places. His true body was now here.

"Do you really think you’re still a match for us?" Ding Ning sneered. As she drew her hand back, a transparent Life Pearl appeared in her palm.

After grooming so many pawns, Dark Star’s strength had already declined by a tier.

"This is an SSS-level Lord meeting. Are you sure you’re in the right place?" Ding Ning sneered at him coldly.

"You’re not welcome here."

"You ran fast last time. This time you’re not getting away."

Last time things blew up, Dark Star vanished in a flash.

A huge hole appeared in his chest and his energy plummeted. The once-arrogantly laughing Dark Star suddenly weakened and began to slip back into the void.

Channeling his power with all his might, he barely managed to break free.

Dark Star’s presence collapsed by another tier in an instant.

Once he’d had an SS-level Lord’s aura—now he was only S-level.

She tossed the pearl into the void, where an invisible doorway appeared. Jiang Che sensed the bead appear in his hand.

He paused for just a second and knew this was Ding Ning’s work.

Examining it keenly, the pearl pulsed with vast energy—and, apparently, bore a skill within it as well.

This was the energy Dark Star had ripped out while fleeing; Ding Ning had kept it intact.

"Didn’t expect you to be so generous to that human." Another evil spirit spoke up as Ding Ning sent the Energy Pearl to Jiang Che.

"Giving up a whole S-rank’s worth of energy—you really can bear that?"

Dark Star’s drop from SS to S: all that energy essence was now in this pearl.

"Didn’t I already introduce him?" Ding Ning looked at Jiang Che, the corners of her mouth unconsciously lifting.

"His name is Jiang Che. He’s my lover."
