Chapter 111: Humanity’s Last Bargain
Inside the UA, the atmosphere had turned into suffocating silence.
The staff stood frozen before the screens, unable to fully process what they had just witnessed. The greatest heroes humanity had gathered, wiped out in an instant. Star and Stripe, the strongest hero in the world, had been killed without resistance.
All Might slowly lowered his head.
"What the hell... is that thing?"
No one answered at first.
Nezu finally spoke.
"Junsei died," he said quietly. "And that... is his next reincarnation."
The room grew colder.
"It is the demon Sir Nighteye feared. The one he saw in his vision."
Nezu closed his eyes briefly.
"The demon that will end civilization."
He exhaled slowly.
"There is nothing left in this world capable of defeating Junsei now."
The words hung heavily in the air.
The teachers remained silent, dread settling deep into their hearts. They had already seen what Junsei could do as a human. He had destroyed their nation, threatened the entire world, and survived a nuclear explosion.
And now he had become something else entirely, far beyond anything they had ever seen.
What could possibly stop a demon like that?
No one could think of an answer.
After a few seconds of silence, Nezu began thinking aloud.
"He clearly went after the United States," he said thoughtfully. "They were the ones who launched the nuclear strike."
His eyes narrowed.
"And he gave Star and Stripe a particularly painful death because she led that operation. In a sense... he is avenging the forest."
The staff looked down at him.
Nezu continued calmly.
"He cares deeply about life and nature. Perhaps that is the only chance we have left."
Eraser Head frowned.
"What are you thinking, sir?"
Nezu looked up.
"I need to make a few calls. Eraser Head, please bring me Koda, Yaoyorozu... and her bird."

On the west coast of the United States stood Los Angeles.
The city was one of the largest population centers in the country. Millions of people lived within it. It was an economic powerhouse, a cultural hub, and the center of a massive entertainment industry.
Now it is gone.
The entire city lay in ruins.
Not a single human remained alive.
Almost all of the population, heroes, soldiers and civilians had not even realized what had attacked them. Junsei’s speed had far exceeded the limits of human perception.
Moving dozens of times faster than the speed of sound, his passage alone created devastating pressure waves. Buildings collapsed simply because he passed nearby. Human bodies were crushed instantly by the shock.
And when he used his energy attacks... They struck like tactical nuclear weapons.
Blue explosions rained across the city.
Twenty minutes.
That was all it had taken.
Twenty minutes to destroy every construction in Los Angeles completely, paint the earth red with blood, and kill millions of people.
Now Junsei floated high above the destroyed city.
He observed the devastation for only a moment.
Then he turned.
With the power he now possessed, finishing the United States would not take long. Perhaps one or two days at most.
The entire planet would not last that long before him.
Three weeks, maybe four at most.
And that estimate assumed he worked alone. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
Junsei began preparing to move toward the next city.
Then he felt something.
A familiar call.
Dola.
The small bird was calling him.
Junsei paused in midair and glanced toward Japan. The call that was conveyed to him:
’Come quickly. Humans will kill everything.’
Junsei did not hesitate to change his destination back to UA.
Only a few minutes later he arrived above UA.
Descending slowly toward the campus, he saw Nezu standing alone on the roof of the school. A short distance behind him stood Momo, one of her classmates, Dola perched on Momo’s shoulder, and several members of the UA staff.
Junsei immediately understood.
Nezu had summoned him.
He descended to the rooftop.
The moment he landed, a suffocating pressure filled the air. Every human present felt their bodies tremble instinctively before the towering demon standing before them.
Even Nezu felt a flicker of fear.
The being before him radiated something completely alien, something fundamentally hostile to humanity.
Junsei looked down at him.
"Okina," he said. "You made Dola call me."
Nezu inhaled slowly.
"Yes."
He steadied himself before continuing. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
"Well... you see, we obviously cannot allow you to destroy humanity."
He paused briefly.
"But we also understand that nothing any of us say will stop you. We have no way to defeat you. The greatest heroes in the world failed. Nuclear strike failed."
He sighed lightly.
"So humanity has reached the end of its options."
Junsei listened silently.
Nezu looked up at the three-meter demon towering over him.
"Therefore," he continued calmly, "I contacted every nation that possesses nuclear weapons."
The wind around the rooftop seemed to freeze.
"They are preparing a full global strike."
Nezu’s voice remained steady.
"Nuclear missiles will rain down on every corner of the Earth."
A heavy pause followed.
"If humanity cannot survive... then neither will Life."
The words echoed quietly across the rooftop.
"Everything will die."
Junsei’s wings spread outward.
The two upper pairs opened their monstrous mouths and roared toward the sky. The sound shook the entire campus as the lower wings with glowing eyes brightened intensely.
The roof beneath them began cracking as violent winds erupted outward.
Nezu instinctively stepped back.
Junsei’s voice came low and furious.
"You think this will stop me? As long as I exist, Life will continue."
Nezu nodded slightly.
"I know."
He looked directly at the faceless demon.
"But humanity can force Life backward hundreds of millions of years."
His voice softened.
"Far longer than humanity itself has existed or even will exist."
Nezu’s gaze sharpened.
"Are you willing to trade hundreds of millions of years of life for the destruction of humanity?"
He paused.
"I believe I already know the answer."
The next moment Junsei’s tail lashed forward.
It wrapped around Nezu’s neck and lifted him into the air.
The staff behind him tensed.
Junsei’s glowing form loomed closer.
"I should have killed you the moment you chose humans over Life."
Nezu did not struggle.
"It is too late for that. Now choose, you don’t have long before all nuclear weapons launch" he replied quietly.
Junsei loosened his tail.
Nezu’s small body fell back onto the rooftop with a dull thud. The principal coughed slightly as he steadied himself. He simply looked up again at the towering demon standing above him.
Junsei’s wings folded slowly behind his back, though the pressure in the air remained suffocating.
"You think you are saving them?" Junsei said, his voice cold and distant. "You are only buying them time before the inevitable end."
The glowing horns on his head pulsed faintly as he continued.
"I prohibit humans from entering any forest, mountain, or land beyond their cities. They are forbidden from diving into oceans or seas."
The words carried absolute authority.
"I will give you three days to inform the rest of the world."
Junsei’s tail shifted slightly behind him.
"After that, I will kill anyone who enters those places without permission."
He paused.
"Let me see how long their race can survive like that."
His wings stretched slightly.
"I have all the time in the world to end them. And you, Okina... you are a traitor who chose the wrong side."
For a moment the rooftop fell completely silent.
Nezu slowly adjusted his posture before replying.
"It can’t be helped," he said calmly. "I lived among humans far longer than you. I grew too attached to them. I think this is something you can understand"
Junsei did not answer.
A small chirping sound broke the silence.
Dola.
The little bird fluttered slightly on Momo’s shoulder, chirping nervously toward the towering creature. Junsei glanced at the bird for a brief moment.
Then he turned away.
Without another word, the demon vanished.
The air pressure disappeared instantly, leaving the rooftop eerily quiet.
Momo had not moved the entire time.
Her body had been completely frozen while Junsei stood before them. Only after he disappeared did her lungs finally seem to remember how to breathe.
She inhaled sharply.
Her legs felt weak.
Looking around, she realized the teachers standing nearby were no better. Every single one of them looked pale, their expressions strained with fear. Even the experienced heroes struggled to steady themselves before him.
The presence Junsei carried had been overwhelming.
For a moment none of them spoke.
Then Momo’s eyes moved to her classmate.
Koda stood trembling, tears streaking down his face as his entire body shook uncontrollably.
Momo gently stepped closer.
"Are you okay?" she asked softly.
Koda tried to speak but his voice broke.
"I... I c-can’t... t-that d-demon..."
His shoulders trembled violently.
Momo placed her hand gently on his shoulder.
"I know," she said quietly. "He is too scary."
She hesitated for a moment before asking something else.
"Did you catch what Dola said?"
Koda wiped his face slowly before nodding.
After swallowing nervously, he spoke.
"She said... ’they are nice... please don’t hurt them.’"
Momo looked down at the small bird perched on her shoulder.
A faint smile appeared on her face.
"Thank you, Dola."
The bird chirped softly, tilting its head as if understanding her words.
Meanwhile, the teachers gathered around Nezu to check on him.
Eraser Head crouched beside the principal, studying him carefully.
"That was scary," Nezu said lightly. "For a moment I thought he might kill me."
Eraser Head sighed.
"It’s a miracle he didn’t."
He shook his head slowly.
"I still can’t believe your threat worked."
Nezu nodded thoughtfully.
"Fortunately, he cares deeply about nature."
He paused before adding quietly,
"And if I am being honest... I suspect he might have spared me regardless."
The staff looked at him in disbelief. Nezu’s expression turned contemplative.
"Despite everything, Junsei still has a soft spot somewhere inside him. He is gentle as long as the opposite side is not a human he deems bad."
No one responded.
The silence carried a heavy weight.
Finally Nezu sighed.
"I need to make some calls."
He looked toward the horizon.
"We must immediately stop all nations from doing anything stupid like another nuke due to fear."
His voice became more serious.
"I doubt Junsei would hesitate even for a moment if he sensed another nuclear detonation anywhere in the world."
The rooftop remained silent as the teachers slowly remembered something.
Humanity had just been given three days to try and adapt to the new world order.
Junsei was at the top and the only thing stopping him from ending humanity was the threat of hurting the world. Humans entered a cold war against nature.
