Chapter 835
During the next week, Anton and Anders closed themselves off in Anders’s office for several hours after lunch. For five hours a day for the next seven days, Anton helped his father level up his newly created Sorcerer character in the Multiplayer option in Anton’s Diablo II part of his Diablo system.
They told Raymond, the family butler, not to disturb them during those hours. The reason Anders gave the butler was that Anton was in the process of creating magic items for use in the newly created family manor in Oakswood. It was true in a way, since while Anders was leveling up his Sorcerer character, Anton would create magic items while making sure that nothing would happen to his father.
Anton was well-versed enough in creating magic items like his Frozen Orb air conditioner, Fire Wall stove, Ice Bolt cup, and Fire Bolt lanterns for use in Anders’s new manor that, even though he was following Anders to make sure that his father didn’t die, he was able to create the items without any issues.
After seven days, not only did Anders’s Sorcerer character reach the same level as he previously had with his now deleted Druid character, Anton had also created several enchanted items that the new manor in Oakswood was now filled with, just like the Rose Manor in Ormunda.
Anders told Anton that Elisa was extremely delighted at how comfortable the manor was because of the magic items, and once Anton’s father couldn’t wait to learn how to create Mana Rain so the surrounding gardens and fields in Oakswood Manor would be as magical as the ones in Rose Manor.
On their next scheduled exploration in Anton’s Diablo II’s Multiplayer option, they only played for a couple of hours. The rest of the time was spent with Anton teaching his father and his sister how to manipulate the mana structure of the Ice Bolt spell so they could turn it into Mana Water.
After three hours of focused tutoring, both father and daughter only managed to start discerning the mana structure of the Ice Bolt spell. More than likely, it would take some time for them to learn how to manipulate the mana structure.
Since Anders and Anna wanted to learn the conversion magic as soon as possible, they actually scheduled a daily teaching session that would start at around nine in the evening and would last until midnight, every day.
During a pause in one of their conversion lessons, Anton asked his father a question.
“Do you miss your Druid skills?”
Anders contemplated Anton’s questions for a couple of minutes.
“Not really. Since my build was the summoning build, I just cast my summoning skills, and that’s it. There’s not much action, and in truth, I sometimes get bored with it. With the Sorcerer, even though I’m not up close and personal like with my Paladin skill, I still have to act wisely enough to make sure that my spells would kill the monsters, and any mistake on my part would result in the possible demise of my character.
Anders, Anna, and Anton had finally experienced dying inside the game. It didn’t impact them too much since they only had to wait twenty-four hours before they could log back into the game. Since both Anders and Anna were busy people, the wait was negligible. Anton just returned to either playing his Diablo Immortal character or watching movies, television shows, or anime on the internet.
In truth, Anton’s days were idle. He didn’t have the pressure of making himself powerful as soon as possible since the Undead Coalition was no more. He laughed at himself when he remembered the time that he theorized that the future was this bleak version of a post-apocalyptic scenario wherein the world was conquered by the undead, and there were only a few remaining sanctuaries left for the humans to stay with, and that their daily lives would be defending the sanctuary or going outside the safe place to kill the undead.
He was grateful that that theory didn’t come true. Anton supposed that a life like that would be exciting in a somewhat skewed version of living a game life, but that would become tiresome in the long run. He was happy enough with the happy ending that they’d receive, although with so many families affected by the undead, it wasn’t truly too happy. At the very least, a lot of people had survived.
After four days of concentrated tutoring, Anders and Anna had learned to turn their Ice Bolt into Water Bolt and were finally able to manipulate the mana structure enough that they could control the Water Bolt to slow down so that they could pour the Mana Water into a vessel instead of destroying the items that they wanted to use to hold the Mana Water because of the power of the Water Bolt.
Anders and Anna were extremely happy that they were now able to produce Mana Water. That meant that they could return to drinking Mana Water every time they were thirsty. Anders, in particular, was extremely glad because he was willing to cast as many spells as he would like as long as he could let his new wife drink and bathe in Mana Water.
Concerning the Blizzard spell being converted into Mana Rain, since both Anders and Anna had already learned the basics of what they needed to do to figure out the way to manipulate the mana structure of the spells of the Sorceress, they could study how to convert the other spells by themselves.
Anders and Anna promised that once they learned how to cast Mana Rain, they would make sure that the Rose Manor’s flower gardens, fruit orchard, and the small grain fields would remain soaked in Mana Water.
What it all meant was it was now time for Anton to leave. With Raymond’s help, Anton secured a ticket to one of the best and largest ships that would travel to the continent of Izmorta. The travel time was one year and three months. freewebnøvel.com
Since he had already personally said goodbye to each member of the family, there was no need for a massive leave-taking party. He didn’t want to have something like that. Anton, his father, and his sister still planned to meet in the Multiplayer option of his Diablo II system once every month, so he would still frequently see his father and his sister.
The other family members thought that Anton would frequently return home using his ability to create portals, so his leaving didn’t cause much of an impact. He didn’t enlighten them and would just let his father tell the family after a few days.
Kirk, with him openly being affectionate towards Luna, promised Anton that he would take care of the family. Since the two had confirmed their relationship, everyone was now treating Kirk as family as well. Thankfully, Omar, Abdul, and Mesono weren’t too envious, and in truth, they didn’t have any reason to be since there wasn’t much of a difference when it came to the resources that Kirk was receiving from the family. The four of them were just happy that the Sunders family didn’t employ any more would-be mages, so the magical resources were concentrated on the four of them.
Romina was particularly comforted by the fact that even though Anton was leaving, she had already saved thousands of movies. That meant that the cinema would be stable for years to come.
The ship that Anton would be taking to the continent of Izmorta was called Melinda. He wondered why ships were named after women. Raymond managed to get a room that was exclusive for the very rich. His suite consisted of two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, and a balcony. At least that was what Raymond told him. The scheduled departure was still a couple of days away.
