Chapter 829

During the next few weeks, their group’s travel became routine. During the day, Anton and Anna would listen to Cormanur’s teaching. Anders joined the Valkyrie in the driver’s seat since Anton and Anna’s father became bored listening to the lesson that the old supreme rank wizard was teaching the siblings.

Anders then discovered that their travel wasn’t actually peaceful. It was just that Anton’s Valkyrie would kill any monsters that would attack them immediately, and leave alone the beasts and monsters who ignored their carriage. Anders got so bored that he started competing with the Valkyrie in killing the monsters. Unfortunately for Anton’s father, the Valkyrie was so powerful and fast that Anders realized that he wouldn’t be able to win.

During lunch, Anders whispered to Anton that once his Druid character that they were leveling in Anton’s hidden world became high-level enough, he would probably have the power to compete with the Valkyrie. Anton thought that it would be incredibly hard for his father to reach the level of power his Valkyrie had. His summons benefit directly from Anton’s collection of gears, and with the addition of the Multiplayer set, he would have a total of four sets of gears that would increase his power, one from the Single Player option of his Diablo II, one from the Multiplayer option, one from the real world, and one from his Diablo Immortal character, therefore increasing the power of all of his summons.

Anton thought that the only way for his father to reach his summons’ level of power was that once he reached the maximum level for his Diablo II character classes from both the real world and the one from the Multiplayer option, he would increase the power of his original class, which was the Arcane Warrior.

“Why is your summon using a bow?” Anders asked while they were eating.

Thankfully, the Dire Wolves knew to adjust the travel during lunchtime so it was comfortable for everyone inside the carriage, even in the middle of eating. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

“The Valkyrie has the Amazon class,” Anton replied to his father, and Anders nodded his understanding.

Anders and Anna knew the skillsets of all of Anton’s Diablo II characters since they had seen them through the character guides that Anton had given them before.

Cormanur didn’t understand Anton’s answer, but since it seemed to be related to their family’s magic, even though the old wizard was curious, he didn’t ask questions about Anton’s summons.

During nighttime, Anton would provide Cormanur a couple of mini globes of browser sharing that would contain up to four episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation Television series after lunch, while Anton, Anders, and Anna continue exploring the world of Diablo II. Unfortunately, due to the limited time they had in playing the game and their careful actions inside the game, their leveling process was slow.

When they finally reached the kingdom of Homura, all of them were glad that the kingdom was also in the process of rebuilding, just like the port city of Whaling. Instead of entering the city immediately, Anders asked Anton to find somewhere out of sight so they could return to Ormunda.

Anton established his town portal in the middle of a copse of trees just outside Homura. At first, he thought about digging a cave below ground and establishing the cave there so it would be hidden, since a lot of people were now traveling to and from Homura to other places, including Whaling, which meant that there was a chance that their portal would be found by travelers, but Anders told Anton that they shouldn’t bother. Even if the portal was found, no one would be able to use it.

They ate dinner that night in the Rose Manor in Rendindura. After dinner, Cormanur left for somewhere. While Anders had to meet with his mercenary teams to check on their progress regarding their dungeon delving activities. Anton and Anna went to their rooms to rest.

Early the next day, Anton, his father, and his sister spent their whole morning exploring Anton’s “Hidden World”, which was the world of Diablo II, to level up their character. The three of them admitted that they enjoyed their adventures thoroughly.

“Even though this world has a grim background story, the fact that it’s all fake made me enjoy it more. It was as if I were one of the protagonists of an epic adventure story in the middle of a book,” Anna excitedly said to her family after they had rescued Deckard Cain from the monsters in Tristram.

“I liked the fact that it’s making us grow stronger!” Anders added.

“At the very least, we can now take the time instead of rushing our growth. Without the Undead Coalition, we could truly start living our lives,” Anton said to his family.

Anton made sure to be responsible in keeping their adventure time, so when noon arrived, he told his father and his sister that it was time for them to exit the “Hidden World” and join the family for lunch.

With his father handling Rose Manor’s business, Anton didn’t bother with any of it anymore. He just spent his free time in his Diablo System, leveling up his Diablo Immortal Wizard character or wasting his hours watching sitcoms or anime. If Anton was being honest, he wished he had made some friends in Ormunda to explore the kingdom with them. He could have been friends with Kirk, Omar, Misono, and Abdul, but the four young novice wizards were still enamored with wizardry and spent all their time studying the knowledge to become fully functioning wizards in Ormunda or practicing their spells to increase their wizardry rank.

Besides, the four novice mages would never treat Anton as one of them since he was their employer and also had an extremely high wizardry rank.

Anton wasn’t too anxious about making friends with anyone. He was still young, and the fact that he had decided to join a magical organization on a different continent and planned to start from scratch meant that there would be opportunities to form friendships or romantic relationships.

He did discover one great thing in their leveling session that morning. Normally, once everyone in the party left the game in the Multiplayer option, the game would dissolve, and the players would have to create a new game, but when Anton left the game together with his father and his sister and didn’t actively dismiss their party, they discovered that Anders and Anna could enter the game by themselves and continue leveling up their characters. The downside was that the monsters that they had already killed wouldn’t respawn, since for new monsters, they would need to create a new game.

That loophole bypassed the rules of Anton’s Diablo System that the sub-owners of the Diablo System wouldn’t be able to enter the world of Sanctuary without Anton creating a party and inviting everyone in. Basically, the game was still ongoing, and the three of them could leave and return to the game anytime they wanted.

If the party was dismissed either by Anton actively dissolving it or both Anders and Anna leaving the party system, then Anton’s father and sister wouldn’t be able to reenter the game and would have to wait for Anton to create a new party and game and invite them in.
