Chapter 182: Chapter 182 Born a Weapon

Elena’s Daughter’s POV

"You three have been feeding information to the packs about incoming attacks." The accusation left my lips before I could stop it.

"We send word to Alpha Damien. He handles the rest." Asher’s response was matter-of-fact.

Tears burned behind my eyes and began streaming down my fur-covered face. The saltiness mixed with the unfamiliar texture of my new form.

I turned away from Asher’s gaze. He didn’t need to witness my breakdown.

Wolves were supposed to be my enemy. Everything I’d been taught said I should despise them. Yet here I was, transformed into the very thing I’d been raised to hunt.

"Follow me." Asher stepped beside me, his tone gentler now.

After a moment of hesitation, I trailed behind him to a nearby stream.

He gestured toward the water with his snout. I approached cautiously and stared at my reflection. A white face gazed back, marked with black patches beneath my chin and scattered across my body.

"Elena is pure white. Damien is completely black. You’re a perfect blend of both. I’ve never witnessed coloring like yours in my lifetime." Asher’s voice held genuine amazement.

"I knew nothing about their missing daughter until my assignment to infiltrate their pack." The admission felt hollow.

"That was intentional. Your entire existence has been carefully orchestrated. You grew up on military installations, completely isolated from this world. They placed you in the Obsidian pack to manipulate Elena. They understood that seeing you would trigger her maternal instincts.

You’ve been their weapon from the beginning. The Hunters knew they could use you to destroy the most powerful pack in the country. Elena would never harm her own child. She’d die before raising a hand against you." Asher’s explanation hit like physical blows.

"My whole life has been built on hating them. Now I’m supposed to accept that I am one?" The question tore from my throat.

"That was their design. You’ve experienced the changes recently. Those wounds on your hands and feet healing overnight. Your night vision improving. The headaches are your wolf fighting to emerge and establish communication.

She’ll be a constant presence in your mind. You’ll never experience true solitude again." Asher continued his patient explanation.

"And my performance during training with Corbin these past weeks." I added, pieces falling into place.

"No one on this base understands your capabilities. Human beings simply aren’t capable of such feats." Asher confirmed.

Another groan escaped as I collapsed, feeling my bones fracture and realign as I shifted back to human form. This transformation proved less excruciating and significantly faster than before.

Looking down, I realized my nakedness just as Asher disappeared momentarily. He returned carrying clothes in his mouth, dropping them at my feet.

"Elena brought these. She anticipated your need." Asher explained.

I dressed quickly while he shifted back and pulled on shorts.

We sat beside the stream as I struggled to process the revelations. Eventually, I knew I had to face Damien and Elena.

My childhood had been marked by abandonment and loneliness. Now I was being told my parents had never stopped searching.

I’d believed my real parents had discarded me. But these people seemed to care deeply.

Asher remained with me until I felt ready to move. Finally, I stood and walked back through the forest to the clearing where Damien and Elena waited. Koa and Nico were present, but upon seeing me, they smiled and retreated toward the base.

I positioned myself before Damien and Elena, taking a steadying breath. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

I glanced at Asher before meeting their expectant gazes.

"Hold on. Is he your mate?" Damien’s sudden question caught me completely off guard. I spun to look at Asher, shock written across my features.
