"I am actually the hero you’ve been looking for."

Xiao Zheng chuckled mischievously as he held Mo Anna.

After hearing his words, Mo Anna was stunned for a few seconds before she sprang out of his embrace in surprise: "Really? You’re not joking, right? How did you end up fighting him?"

Seeing her disbelief, Xiao Zheng laughed and recounted the incident from last night in the parking lot.

Upon learning about Cao Xin’s lousy behavior, Mo Anna demonstrated the same anger as Leng Ruobing and Chu Xiaoran did last night: "Good job! It’s just what he deserves being in the hospital! I totally regret not being there yesterday. If I were, I definitely would have crippled him with a kick!"

Xiao Zheng felt a chilling breeze down below upon hearing her words.

Perhaps sensing his tension, Mo Anna suddenly smiled and said, "Don’t worry, I won’t use that move on you."

Hearing this, Xiao Zheng finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Mo Anna continued, "Although I always knew Cao Xin wasn’t a good person, I never imagined he could be so rotten. It’s lucky you happened to pass by yesterday, otherwise, that woman would have been in trouble."

In response, Xiao Zheng said, "Why not consider changing partners? Someone like Cao Xin, sweet-talking but treacherous, doing business with him is bound to cause problems sooner or later."

"Yesterday, I heard from Ruobing that there are two other herbal suppliers in the country with the same scale. Why not negotiate with them? As long as the demand is high, there will definitely be a discount on purchasing prices."

Mo Anna, upon hearing the mention of business, responded seriously, "I’ve just been thinking about this. We really can’t continue partnering with Cao Xin. I’ll assign someone to follow up on this matter."

"Good to hear you’re taking it to heart," Xiao Zheng nodded.

Though he was the chairman of the Qianqiu Group, Mo Anna was far more familiar with the group’s operations. He felt confident leaving this task to her.

After discussing business, the two continued to chat casually.

Mo Anna seemed to have plenty of free time today and showed no signs of wanting to leave.

Xiao Zheng didn’t mind, as he didn’t have much work to complete while sitting there.

They chatted like this until it was nearly lunchtime.

Xiao Zheng checked his watch and stood up, saying, "Time really flies—it’s lunchtime already. Where shall we eat today? The same restaurant as yesterday?"

"No need, let’s just eat at the company’s cafeteria," Mo Anna shook her head and said, "I have a remote video conference at one-thirty. If we go out, I won’t make it in time."

"Let’s go then." Xiao Zheng tidied up and led her out of the office.

At the cafeteria, many employees were already having their meals.

The presence of Xiao Zheng and Mo Anna was so imposing that everyone unwittingly put their chopsticks down.

"Why did you all suddenly stop eating? Hurry, continue! Does the cafeteria food not please you today?"

Xiao Zheng laughed and asked.

He didn’t act high and mighty like other executives, appearing rather approachable.

The crowd then snapped back, laughed, and continued eating lunch.

Xiao Zheng and Mo Anna also served themselves and found a relatively secluded spot to sit.

Today’s cafeteria food was just as delicious as usual.

Having barely eaten anything in the morning, Xiao Zheng felt particularly ravenous, making multiple trips to get four bowls before feeling somewhat full.

Mo Anna wasn’t surprised, having seen his appetite before.

The employees nearby, however, were astounded by Xiao Zheng’s appetite.

After finishing lunch, the two left the cafeteria.

Returning to the top floor, they prepared to go their separate ways.

However, Mo Anna suddenly addressed him: "By the way, don’t sneak out alone after work tonight."

"What? Are you planning to treat me to dinner?" Xiao Zheng asked curiously.

Mo Anna feigned secrecy upon hearing this and said, "I can’t tell you right now, but you’ll find out when I come to find you tonight."

After speaking, she waved goodbye to Xiao Zheng and prepared for her video conference.

Watching Mo Anna’s graceful figure fade away, Xiao Zheng couldn’t help but smile knowingly.

Back in his office, he devoted himself fully to his work.

The entire afternoon passed without Mo Anna disturbing him.

Just before the end of the workday, Mo Anna finally appeared in Xiao Zheng’s office: "How’s it going? Are you done?"

Xiao Zheng put down his pen and said, "Almost done, actually I don’t have much to busy myself with, just reviewing the papers and contracts you all have signed before they come back to me for approval."

"So, where are you planning to take me later?"

Sensing his curiosity, Mo Anna stopped teasing and playfully said, "I plan to take you to the hospital to visit Cao Xin. After all, we are still business partners with him, and since he got injured in Zhonghai City and is hospitalized, as representatives here, naturally we should visit."

Xiao Zheng’s expression instantly became peculiar upon hearing her words, and he couldn’t help but give her a thumbs-up.

Mo Anna was not really visiting Cao Xin in a formal manner; she was going to savor the drama.

If Cao Xin knew the truth, he’d probably say to Mo Anna, "Are you a demon?"

Unfortunately, Cao Xin was unaware of the truth.

He might still be lying unconscious in the hospital bed; even if he woke up now, he’d be temporarily crippled.

"Well, are you coming or not?" Mo Anna urged when she saw him silent, "If you don’t want to go, I’ll go by myself."

"Of course I’m going!" Xiao Zheng eagerly stood up and said, "How could I miss such an exciting scene?"

"Let’s go, we’ll head out now!"

After speaking, the two left Qianqiu Group.
