Chapter 651: Chapter 651: Ruthless and Relentless
Was it an illusion, or did old Mr. Drexler, whose appearance had never matched his age, look like he’d aged a few more years...?
By the time she came back to her senses, Noah Drexler had already gotten out of the car. He took an umbrella from a servant’s hand and approached her car door, raising his hand to open it.
She looked up at him, then followed him out of the car.
Noah, holding the umbrella, walked with her toward the inside of the villa.
Meanwhile, old Mr. Drexler was waiting at the villa entrance with a cane. As he watched her slowly walk toward him, his face showed a hint of excitement.
"How did you do it!" He looked at Summer Shawcross before him, his face lit with unexpected joy, tinged with disbelief!
He hadn’t taken the Drexler Family’s medication, yet she was perfectly fine, which shocked him!
No one could endure the torment of that virus!
Nor could anyone appear completely unaffected after suffering from the virus!
Noah stopped in front of old Mr. Drexler with Summer beside him. He handed the umbrella to a nearby servant, then glanced coldly at the elder man and pressed his lips together.
"I thought you shouldn’t have the leisure to think about these things now."
After Noah spoke, old Mr. Drexler’s face showed an expression of realization.
"I understand what you mean, but I am still curious about how you made those loyal to me turn against me?"
He only knew that the last time he got injured, it was part of a deliberate scheme to drive a wedge between him and his nephew!
However, even those veteran followers of his, who had been with him for years, all abandoned him overnight and sided with his dear son instead.
This situation he only became aware of after he left the wedding, realizing those people had long been Noah’s men.
Looks like he now intends to use forceful methods to make him hand over the antidote formula.
Yet he still felt a sigh; he, once the head of the Drexler Family, the power holder, had now... fallen to the point of being held under house arrest by his own son.
Now, he was like a caged bird.
Upon finishing his words, old Mr. Drexler noticed a slight change in Noah’s expression; Noah didn’t immediately respond but turned his attention to Summer beside him.
"Have Sean take you back to the small courtyard first."
There were certain things he didn’t want her to know, especially... his cold-blooded side!
She paused.
"I’ll be back shortly." He pressed his thin lips together and added another sentence.
The low voice eased her mind.
She nodded gently.
"Madam, shall we?" Sean approached.
Summer glanced at Noah, then turned and left with Sean.
...
Old Mr. Drexler stood with his cane, watching Summer’s safe departure, and a smile appeared on his face as he couldn’t help but sarcastically say.
"What, a man’s ruthlessness is only natural, but you fear being discovered by a young girl?"
Though his son was formidable and ruthless, he had a very critical weakness, the only one!
If not for this young girl, Summer Shawcross, heaven knows what predicament he’d be in now...
Noah ignored old Mr. Drexler’s ridicule, merely giving him a cold glance, then pressed his lips and asked!
"Don’t you want to know why your confidants betrayed you to choose me?"
