Chapter 643: Chapter 643: Why So Scared?

It was more like the poison Noah Drexler had been afflicted by before.

Yet, she racked her brains and couldn’t figure out when exactly she had been poisoned.

"What are you thinking about?" Noah Drexler returned to the room, finding Summer Shawcross standing by the window, staring into the sky lost in thought.

Upon hearing the voice behind her, Summer finally snapped out of it, turning her head to look back.

Noah had just come in, still wearing yesterday’s clothes, his white shirt full of wrinkles.

She hesitated for a moment, as in her past memory, he never wore wrinkled or dirty clothes.

But now, he hadn’t even changed his clothes.

Thinking about this, some fuzzy feelings from when she was drowsily sleeping last night suddenly resurfaced in her mind.

While she was half-asleep, she seemed to remember someone feeding her water, wiping her face, massaging her sore arms and calves...

Was he taking care of her, staying awake all night, so much so he didn’t even have time to change his clothes?

As she thought about it, her nose suddenly tingled.

"It’s nothing, just that it feels amazing, I don’t feel uncomfortable at all," Summer said with a smile on her face.

Upon hearing this, Noah pressed his lips together without saying anything, instead lowering his gaze to her cool nightdress and the wide-open window, then walking over to her with large strides.

His long legs swiftly brought him beside her, and before she could say anything, he extended his arms, wrapping them around her waist, and then... bent over, lifting her up by the waist.

"Noah Drexler, what are you doing..." Summer was startled, looking at him in surprise.

"Do you want to catch a cold?" Noah furrowed his brows, casting his eyes down to her nightdress, complaining.

It’s already autumn now, with temperatures particularly low in the mornings and evenings, standing by the window in the wind like this, she’ll catch a cold!

With that, he carried her back to the bed, laid her down, and pulled the quilt over her to wrap her up, then turned around to close the window.

Once he turned around, he saw Summer covering her mouth, laughing quietly.

"Is it funny?" His expression changed, asking with some displeasure.

Looking at the man’s unhappy appearance, Summer wasn’t the least bit afraid, instead daringly continued to speak!

"No... I just think you now seem like a worrying housekeeper, no, it’s more like a nanny."

The way he fretted over her indeed resembled a housekeeper, though he was less talkative, not as nagging as a housekeeper.

A worrying nanny?

After hearing her words, Noah’s expression instantly darkened.

Great, she always had a knack for easily making him angry!

The next second, he unhappily stepped forward, taking two strides to the bedside.

Seeing him suddenly approach, Summer was startled, instinctively wanting to flee, but the man had already bent over, his large hands wrapping around her waist, pulling her back.

She gasped, jumping with fright.

"Hmm? Weren’t you bold just a moment ago, why are you scared now?" Noah looked down at her, his handsome face full of dissatisfaction, coldly snorting the question.

She wasn’t scared when she said he was like a nanny, but now she starts to fear?

Seeing there was no escape, Summer sighed, then with a smile on her face, explained to him.

"I was just joking with you, don’t take it to heart..."
