Chapter 641: Chapter 641: I Don’t Care!

In the past, her favorite thing was to snuggle with him for a while after he was done working.

But now, she was unwilling to even stay with him.

While Sherry was still thinking of other ways to cope, Yancy Shaw directly took out his wallet, pulled out the cash, along with his identification, and handed it to the lady shopkeeper.

"We’ll take that room," he asserted.

"Mr. Shaw, I think it might be better if we consider other options."

Her words suddenly sparked a nameless anger in his heart, not anger at her, but at himself!

If only he had been more decisive back then, if he’d given up on pursuing power sooner, perhaps they wouldn’t have reached this point today!

He was the one who destroyed the Raina Yardley who once loved him wholeheartedly, even willing to give everything for him...

He looked at her, unable to hold back from asking.

"Miss Morgan, do you suspect I would have any ill intentions toward you?"

At his words, Sherry was taken aback for a moment, thinking of her current appearance.

Perhaps she’s overthinking it. Given her appearance right now, no matter how undiscriminating Yancy Shaw might be, it would be difficult for him to have any feelings for her.

Besides... given his current status, he probably never lacked women around him.

Thinking of this, Sherry felt a sudden sense of relief in her heart and proceeded to explain to Yancy Shaw.

"Mr. Shaw, you’re overthinking. I’m just afraid you might mind. After all, if word got out that we were staying in the same room, it might not be good for your reputation..."

"I don’t mind!" Just as she finished speaking, his decisive voice came through.

"Then let’s arrange it according to Mr. Shaw’s intention," Sherry paused, then added.

At this moment, the lady shopkeeper had already completed the check-in registration, handed Yancy Shaw the identification and room card, and said,

"The room is on the second floor, at the very end around the corner."

Yancy Shaw took the room card, nodded, then looked at Sherry who was standing next to him.

Sherry paused for a moment, then carried the child and followed him upstairs.

Soon, they arrived at the room. It wasn’t large, but it was quite cozy.

As soon as she entered, Sherry placed the little one on the bed, but as she prepared to stand up, she noticed the little one’s fingers still clutching the hem of her clothes.

She sighed softly, then gently extended her hand to remove his tiny hand, then took off his shoes and covered him with a blanket.

Once he was sleeping soundly in the unfamiliar bed, Sherry pushed herself up and directly turned to enter the bathroom.

In a short while, she came out with a towel dampened with hot water and wrung dry, returned to the bedside, bent down, and gently wiped the little one’s somewhat dirty face from playing. After cleaning his face, she went back, washed the towel, and proceeded to wipe his chubby little hands and feet clean.

Her eyes were entirely on the child, not once glancing at Yancy Shaw.

Yancy Shaw stood at the side, quietly watching her tenderly clean the child.

In his heart, he could no longer remain calm.

He remembered, after graduating, he was just a low-level salesperson at a company.

And she was just in her early twenties then, defying her family to live a rough life with him, staying in a cramped and damp rented room.
