Noah Drexler furrowed his brow, instinctively lifting his gaze towards the door, but he saw no figure.
The next moment, his eyes lowered, and finally at the door, he spotted a small head peeking inside.
Little Nathaniel blinked, meeting the man’s sharp gaze, and his chubby little face suddenly showed a hint of fear.
Yet he didn’t leave, instead, he gathered his courage, fully pushed the door open, and walked in.
Seeing the small intruder breaking into their quiet, Noah Drexler furrowed his brow tightly, about to speak to send him away when the little one caught sight of the woman lying beside him and joyfully exclaimed.
"Pretty sister!"
Nathaniel Shaw’s voice jolted Summer Shawcross out of her daze as she stared at Noah Drexler, quickly sitting up.
When she saw the little one had come to the bedside, she smiled and then asked.
"What’s up?"
Seeing her sit up, the little one suddenly brought out a box of sushi hidden behind his back and handed it to her.
"For you to eat."
She hadn’t eaten anything this morning, and the housekeeper said that if one doesn’t eat well, they’ll recover slowly.
Looking at the sushi the little one offered, Summer froze for a moment and then quickly got off the bed, squatting down before him, accepting the sushi with both hands.
"Thank you." She said, looking at the sushi, feeling somewhat moved.
Perhaps because his mother wasn’t around since he was young, this little one, apart from being a bit mischievous at times, generally understood things well.
At such a young age, he was already starting to want to take care of her.
Not wanting to disappoint him, Summer opened the box, took out a sushi piece, and ate it.
"It’s delicious."
Seeing her say that, the little one finally revealed a happy smile and then spoke mysteriously to her.
"Daddy doesn’t allow me to see you, I came secretly. Pretty sister, can I stay here and take care of you?" As he spoke, the little one looked at Summer with an expectant expression.
Daddy won’t let him upstairs, so he sneaked up while Daddy was with Aunt Sherry, and sure enough, no one noticed!
Upon hearing the little one’s words, Summer froze for a moment, instinctively thinking about Noah Drexler.
Perhaps Yancy Shaw thinks with Noah Drexler here, it’s inconvenient to disturb them.
But hearing the little one’s request to take care of her, Summer couldn’t help but chuckle.
Only six years old, yet he always acted like a little adult in front of her, appearing as if wanting to protect her, certainly very adorable.
"Of course, you’re so cute, I’d love for you to stay!" Summer laughed, reaching out to rub the little one’s head.
However, what Summer didn’t notice was that behind her, the man half-lying on the bed was slowly growing grim.
But with Summer present, he couldn’t act out, just unhappily glancing at the little intruder!
