Chapter 338: 338 Jujutsu Kaisen 3

As Sukuna expanded his domain, animal and human skulls emerged beneath his feet, creating a bizarre landscape. In the center, a building resembling a temple rose, and inside it, a massive mouth appeared, wide open.

Suddenly, countless techniques of ’Kai’ began pouring toward me. With Nano’s assistance, I used [Vector Transformation] to reflect them all back. If various types of attacks had poured in like this, I might have been overwhelmed, but Sukuna’s domain only continuously fired ’Kai’ techniques at me, so that wasn’t the case. I actually had room to spare.

SWISH SWISH SWOOSH—!!!

What followed was a very interesting situation. The techniques pouring from Sukuna and the techniques I reflected back collided violently between us, repeatedly canceling each other out.

"What is this... How can you withstand a domain without using one yourself?"

Sukuna seemed completely unable to comprehend the situation within his common sense. Of course, I could have used ’Simple Domain’ or ’Domain Expansion’ to block it easily. But this was an experiment — to see whether my abilities alone could counter a domain expansion.

"Hmm... you’re a gluttonous one, aren’t you?"

I leisurely examined Sukuna’s domain expansion as I spoke. Sukuna’s expression darkened, and he began to sweat cold.

"A domain that pours out countless slashing attacks... It’s certainly excellent, but the power is weak."

With that, I casually swung my hand toward Sukuna. A tremendous slash not only cut Sukuna but also tore through the domain itself as it flew. That attack was infused with mana and [Busoshoku Haki], making it impossible for a domain to block.

SWOOOOSH—!!!

"GAAH!!!"

The domain crumbled, and Sukuna collapsed on the spot, coughing blood. The attack had inflicted a deep wound from his abdomen to his right shoulder.

"Ugh... domain expansion didn’t work. And that attack just now..."

"Sukuna-sama!"

Seeing Sukuna fall, the pretty-boy rushed forward, calling his name anxiously. Sukuna used Reverse Cursed Technique to heal and slowly stood up.

"You’re like a cockroach."

"Are you playing with me? With that much power, you could have finished me off earlier."

Sukuna seemed to finally understand that even using all his abilities, he was no match for me.

"I had something to test. But since you say that, I’ll end it here."

I moved at tremendous speed and struck Sukuna with the ’Polearis Void Fist.’ To ordinary observers, it would have looked like I disappeared and reappeared in front of Sukuna.

KABOOOM—!!!

"GUH!!!"

As I threw my punch, Sukuna tried to dodge, but the attack was too fast — nearly half his body was destroyed. Moreover, the sorcerers and curses watching our fight from behind were caught in the blast wave. About a third of them were instantly annihilated without a trace.

"GAAAAH!"

"Ugh... this is impossible."

"Is he truly a god..."

"God... please have mercy..."

The wounded and those barely alive either screamed or collapsed in despair. Some knelt and prayed to me.

"Oh dear, this is why I try not to go all out."

Just then, Sukuna gave up on restoring his body, grabbed me with both arms, transformed his mouth into a massive maw, and bit my shoulder — trying to devour me. This seemed to be Sukuna’s final desperate gamble. But it was futile. His teeth couldn’t penetrate at all — I had already protected myself with [Busoshoku Haki].

"Th-this can’t be..."

"What are you doing?"

I grabbed Sukuna’s head and pulled it off my shoulder. Then, using [Bat-Bat Fruit Model Vampire] and [Energy Drain], I began rapidly draining Sukuna’s lifespan and energy.

"Uwaaaaah..."

Sukuna’s remaining body shriveled and turned into a mummy.

In Jujutsu Kaisen, there is a rule: ’If a sorcerer is not killed by an attack imbued with cursed energy, they become a curse after death.’ Since sorcerers handle cursed energy, if they die from non-cursed attacks like ordinary swords or guns, their cursed energy remains unresolved. As a result, their cursed energy coagulates with resentment after death, turning them into curses. But having all his energy drained, there was no such concern.

In other words, there was no worry about him reviving as a curse. Still, to be safe — since necromancy and unusual techniques exist in the sorcery world — I used [Decomposition] to break down Sukuna’s mummified body. His body began to turn to dust and disappear.

If he revives even after all this, I’d genuinely acknowledge it. But I had stolen all of Sukuna’s techniques with [Murder Steal], so even if he revived, he would only have his physical abilities left — at best, around the level of ’Toji Fushiguro,’ a ’Physical Gifted.’

"Farewell, strongest. You’re just a commoner who happened to be born in an era without me."

"Sukuna-sama!!!"

As expected, the pretty-boy rushed at me, enraged by Sukuna’s death.

"For Sukuna-sama’s vengeance, die!!! Direct Explosion!!!"

Uraume planted his hand on the ground as he charged. Countless sharp ice pillars erupted from the ground around him and flew toward me.

Uraume’s technique is ’Ice Formation Technique’ — simply put, the ability to create and manipulate ice. But such a technique could not work on me.

I stopped the incoming ice projectiles with [Telekinesis], then compressed them into a single large mass using the [Mugen] technique ’Spear.’ I then began slamming the large ice mass down on Uraume’s location.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

"Tch!"

Uraume ran around frantically, dodging the ice masses.

BAM! BAM! CRACK!

But being made of ice, they were brittle and quickly shattered.

"Oh dear, it was like playing whack-a-mole — quite fun. Hey! Make some more ice. My hammer broke."

"..."

Uraume didn’t answer, just glared at me. He was probably racking his brain, trying to figure out how to deal with me.

Then I had a good idea — why not use him to test [Taming]? He was, after all, someone who showed absolute loyalty to Sukuna. He seemed like the perfect test subject.

So I quickly moved and grabbed Uraume’s head.

GRAB!

"Guh! Let go!!!"

"Uraume, be quiet for a moment."

Uraume thrashed wildly, trying to escape my grip. I ignored him and tried to use [Taming] on this pretty-boy. But it failed spectacularly — even with Enhancement.

"That’s strange... I recall that in games, you have to weaken them first. Maybe that’s the case here too?"

I carefully adjusted my strength so as not to kill him and struck his abdomen.

THUD THUD THUD THUD!

"Guh! Hngh! S-stop! Hngh!"

He kept using Reverse Cursed Technique to heal, so I increased the intensity.

THUD THUD THUD!

"Hngh! Hngh! Hngh!"

After some time, he went limp, apparently losing consciousness and unable to maintain his technique. I tried [Taming] again — still no success. So I repeated the process: hit, try [Taming], hit, try [Taming].

THUD! [Taming] THUD! [Taming] THUD! [Taming] THUD! [Taming]

Ding~!

[You have successfully tamed the human: Uraume.]

"Done."

It certainly took a long time — I only succeeded when he was on the verge of death. Without [Enhancement], I probably would have failed. I suspect that humans’ high intelligence, combined with Uraume’s strong loyalty to Sukuna, made taming difficult. Once my ability rank increases, the success rate will likely improve.

He looked like he might die, so I healed him and set him down. Then I asked,

"Who am I?"

Uraume knelt on one knee and answered,

"You are my master, Hachiman."

His bright expression confirmed my success. The sorcerers and curses watching were shocked.

"How could this be... beating someone like that to gain loyalty..."

"Unbelievable. He was so loyal to Sukuna."

"Brutal. I suppose there’s no escaping force."

"If I got beaten like that, I’d have no choice but to be loyal too."

"Surely he won’t do that to us too?"

"Then... we should swear loyalty immediately."

These guys completely misunderstood. Then one of them rushed to me, prostrated himself, and said,

"I-I’ve respected Hachiman-sama for a long time! Please accept me too!"

I was dumbfounded.

"I have no use for the likes of you. Just die quietly."

I immediately fried him with [Lightning-Lightning Fruit].

CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!

"GAAAAH!"

Then I spoke to the remaining sorcerers and curses.

"You seem to have a misunderstanding. All of you will die here, so abandon any thoughts of leaving alive."

I raised my hand to order the shadow soldiers to finish off the rest. But then the woman who had been watching me hurriedly said,

"Wait! Wait! If you kill all of us, the world will actually fall apart. As a god, you must know that!"

She was being indirect because of the curses present, but she meant: if they die, who will stop the curses from killing people?

"And you are?"

"I’m Tengen, a barrier technique user."

I was a bit surprised. I didn’t know that before evolving into her alien-like appearance in the original, she had been this beautiful. But that was it — eventually, she would assimilate and change significantly. If assimilation failed, she would become something alien-like, close to a curse.

"Let’s be honest. How many people have died due to curses, and how many due to sorcerers?"

"Th-that’s..."

She couldn’t answer. She knew — far more people died because of sorcerers than curses. That was the Heian Era.

"Even if everyone here dies, there will be no problem. The curses who die by my hand will be annihilated without ever being reborn. And sorcerers will be reborn among humans to replenish their numbers. In short, everything starts over from the beginning."

And it was true. When curses had their techniques stolen by me, they were annihilated. Probably because the technique itself is part of the curse — when it’s stolen, they cease to exist.

"But..."

"So don’t worry — just die quietly."

I snapped my fingers as a signal. Countless shadow soldiers tore, cut, and shredded the sorcerers and curses. Uraume then asked me,

"What should I do? Shall I help those black beings?"

"No, first, let’s change your gender. I don’t like pretty-boys."

"I don’t know what a pretty-boy is, but understood."

I grabbed Uraume’s head and used [Unlimited Transmutation] to transform him into the female version of Uraume from the original timeline a thousand years later.

"I-I really have become a woman."

Uraume felt his enlarged chest and other areas, confirming his transformation. Doing that in front of me was a bit much.

Just as the battle was finishing, with almost no survivors left, someone stepped forward, laughing maniacally.

"Hahahahaha, I don’t care anymore. I’ll turn this into even more chaos! Furuberu... Yurayura..."

There he was — Furuberu! That guy was probably an ancestor of the Zen’in clan.

He was using the ’Ten Shadows Technique,’ considered the pinnacle of the Zen’in family’s inherited techniques. The Ten Shadows Technique is a inherited Zen’in technique that uses shadows as a medium to control ten types of shikigami — think of it as jujutsu summoning.

The basic shikigami are two Hounds. To handle more, the user must go through a ’subjugation ritual’ with the Hounds — in other words, summon and then defeat them to claim them as one’s own.

The problem lies with the final shikigami, ’Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga.’ Mahoraga, being summonable, can theoretically be subjugated, but it’s so powerful that no Ten Shadows user in history has ever managed it.

That doesn’t mean it’s completely unusable. The Ten Shadows Technique has a trait: it can force a target to participate in the subjugation ritual ’without’ the target’s consent. This trait allows the user to summon Mahoraga in a hopeless situation, forcing the opponent into the ritual and dragging them down together.

So this guy was summoning Mahoraga to try to take me down with him. But he was greatly mistaken. I knew all of Mahoraga’s characteristics — and I also had the power to annihilate it.
