Chapter 80: Don’t Mess With Ren
The throne room had become deathly silent.
Nobody knelt on the poisonous floor. Blood dripped from his mouth. Green poison still crawled beneath his skin. His vision remained blurry. Yet even through the pain..he couldn’t stop staring.
Ren Lexion stood before him as if he wasn’t facing a National-Level Threat.
Across from him Demoness Aconite slowly rose from her throne. The amusement had vanished from her face. Her emerald eyes narrowed.
The poisonous energy filling the room intensified.
SSSSSSSSSS.
The floor began melting and the walls cracked.
Green flames erupted behind her like an infernal storm. "Who dares interfere with the hunting of my prey?" Her voice echoed throughout the chamber. The pressure alone made the throne room tremble.
Then her gaze locked onto Ren. "A mere rabbit."
Ren simply took another bite of his carrot.
CRUNCH.
The sound echoed absurdly loudly.
Then the carrot dissolved into blue pixels and vanished.
He sighed. "I did." The rabbit coach scratched the back of his head. "You dare play with my trainee." His red eyes met hers. "For someone called a Demoness, your manners aren’t great."
Nobody stared. "Ren...Why are you provoking her?"
Ren ignored him.
Aconite’s eyes became colder. "You speak boldly."
The demoness took a step forward. Poison exploded around her.
BOOOOOM!
The throne room shook violently.
Yet Ren didn’t move even an inch.
The demoness laughed. "Leave your trainee. And perhaps I shall grant you a painless death."
Ren sighed. "See? There you go again. Always threatening people like they are mere dolls."
The rabbit coach stretched his neck.
POP.
POP.
POP.
Then he pointed toward Nobody. "I don’t intend to interfere."
The demoness raised an eyebrow.
Ren continued. "If you let me take my trainee and leave peacefully."
Then.....
Aconite laughed harder. The entire throne room echoed with it. "You?..Take him?" She smiled mockingly. "Are you dreaming?" The poisonous aura exploded again. "Do you truly think I fear a mere rabbit?"
Nobody immediately whispered. "Actually...You probably should."
The demoness ignored the warnings..
Then....she vanished.
BOOOOOM!
The floor shattered beneath her feet. One moment she stood near the throne. The next...she was directly before Ren.
Both poisonous stingers appeared in her hands. Green hellfire covered their blades.
SLASH!
SLASH!
The attacks came fast enough to tear through the air itself. Yet Ren casually leaned sideways.
The first attack missed.
SWISH.
He tilted his head.
The second missed.
SWISH.
The demoness attacked again.
And again.
SLASH!
SLASH!
SLASH!
The throne room became a storm of poisonous attacks.
Nobody could barely follow the movements. His eyes struggled to keep up.
Meanwhile, Ren looked bored. The rabbit coach dodged every strike effortlessly.
A small step, a slight lean, a tiny movement. Nothing more. Yet every attack missed.
Aconite’s expression slowly changed. Her confidence began cracking. "Die!" She accelerated.
The poisonous flames intensified. The throne room exploded with green light.
BOOOOOM!
Ren yawned.
Then...
GRAB.
The entire battle stopped.
Aconite’s eyes widened. The demoness had swung one stinger directly at Ren’s neck. Yet Ren had caught it using only two fingers. The poisonous flames hissed around his hand. The poison touched his skin. But nothing happened. Absolutely nothing.
The demoness froze. "...Impossible."
Ren examined the stinger. "Huh. Looks sharp." Then he casually flicked it aside.
CLANG!
The weapon flew across the throne room. Aconite immediately retreated.
For the first time she looked cautious.
Ren smiled. "You really thought I was weak?" freewebnovel.cσ๓
The demoness remained silent.
Ren placed both hands inside his pockets. "Well...I’m holding back."
Nobody nearly choked. "HOLDING BACK?!"
The rabbit coach nodded. "Of course. Can’t let the authorities say I interfered with a boss monster."
Aconite growled. The poisonous energy surrounding her increased dramatically. The throne room trembled. The demoness prepared another attack.
Yet Ren kept talking. As if discussing the weather. "You can regenerate, right?"
Aconite blinked. "What?"
Ren pointed at her. "You regenerate after taking damage?"
The demoness scoffed. "Why would I need to?" Her smile returned. "No one has ever managed to scratch me."
Ren nodded. "Oh. Good." The smile on his face became slightly wider. "That’s good."
The demoness suddenly felt something wrong.
The atmosphere changed. The air itself seemed heavier.
Nobody sensed true power from Ren. The rabbit coach slowly raised one hand.
SNAP.
The sound echoed throughout the throne room. Then...two magic circles appeared. Ancient and red. Covered in symbols Nobody couldn’t understand.
The circles rotated slowly. Ancient power surged from them. The throne room shook violently.
Aconite immediately stepped backward. Fear appeared in her eyes.
Two swords emerged floating in midair. Both looked ancient. Their blades glowed with mysterious runes. Red symbols flowed across their surfaces. The moment they appeared the poisonous energy throughout the chamber weakened. As if even poison feared them.
Nobody stared. "...What are those?"
The system suddenly appeared.
Then immediately glitched.

Nobody blinked. "...Okay...Those are definitely not ordinary swords."
Ren grabbed both swords. The moment his hands touched them the throne room cracked.
BOOOOOOOOM!
The pressure became overwhelming. Even Aconite looked stunned. The demoness immediately attacked.
A desperate strike. Both stingers surged forward. Green hellfire erupted from them.
Ren moved.
A single step and a single slash.
Just....
SWOOOOOSH.
The throne room froze.
Nobody blinked. "...Huh?"
Aconite remained standing. Completely motionless. Several seconds passed.
Then... blood appeared.
A thin red line spread across her shoulder. The demoness looked downward. She was confused.
Then...
SHHHHK!
Her right arm detached completely. Blood erupted into the air. The severed arm crashed onto the floor.
THUD.
For the first time in countless years.....Demoness Aconite screamed.
"AAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"
The demoness desperately focused her power. Poison gathered around the severed shoulder. Flesh attempted to regenerate. Muscles tried to reconnect.
Yet..nothing happened. The wound remained exactly the same.
Aconite’s eyes widened. "No...No!" Again she tried. Again she failed.
Ren watched quietly. Then sighed. "If you’re thinking you’re going to regenerate now..." He casually rested one sword on his shoulder. "You’re wrong."
The demoness froze.
"You can’t regenerate from that slash."
Her expression finally broke into genuine fear. The same fear countless heroes had once felt before her.
Ren continued. "You’ll probably recover. After a few days."
Aconite stared at him as if seeing a monster.
Meanwhile, Nobody had completely lost consciousness from poison and exhaustion.
Ren glanced at him. "Yep. Definitely sleeping." He effortlessly lifted Nobody onto his shoulder. Then looked back at Aconite.
The demoness didn’t move. Didn’t speak. She simply watched him.
Ren smiled. "I have no intention of interfering anymore." Blue pixels began gathering around him. The rabbit coach gave one final wave. Then said, "I’ll be leaving."
"In case I don’t see ya...Good morning, good afternoon. And good night."
FLASH!
Ren and Nobody vanished.
