Chapter 1087: Chapter 1087: Birthday Wish

Stella Charlie was standing by the roadside sweeping her bicycle when she heard the sound of approaching high heels behind her.

She thought Chloe Swift had come to find her, but Chloe simply walked to the white sedan in front of her.

The car soon started up and disappeared down the street.

Even though Chloe Swift hadn’t said anything this time, Stella felt a mix of emotions within her.

Wasn’t that watch the birthday gift she bought for Vincent Warner?

Looking down at the bag in her hand, she suddenly felt that the gift, which seemed extravagant for her, was somewhat hard to give.

On Vincent Warner’s birthday, Stella Charlie was still feeling anxious.

She hadn’t told Vincent Warner about celebrating his birthday, and he probably thought she didn’t know.

She didn’t know how Vincent Warner usually spent his birthdays; maybe he celebrated with his family.

Chloe Swift bought him a gift, and she would probably give it to him at the birthday party.

Stella didn’t hold out much hope for spending this birthday alone with Vincent, yet she still had this hope in her heart.

After two in the afternoon, she sent Vincent Warner a message: "Will you come back for dinner today?"

Vincent Warner: "I have a social engagement today and will be back late. Don’t wait for me for dinner."

Stella Charlie pursed her lips in disappointment, unsure if he really had a social engagement or if he was lying to her because of another appointment.

Before she could respond, Vincent Warner sent another message: "But you can make more dishes and save them for me to eat when I return."

Stella Charlie smiled: "Okay."

Since she chose to believe him, it was better not to have too many worries.

Stella Charlie cooked a table full of dishes, waiting for Vincent Warner to come home.

She waited patiently, feeling that time was passing slowly.

...

A little after nine, there was a noise at the door.

Nesting on the sofa watching TV, Stella Charlie sprang up and eagerly went towards the door.

Only when Vincent Warner returned home and saw Stella did he feel truly alive.

"Did you drink?"

Vincent Warner took off his jacket and chuckled softly: "Just a little."

Stella Charlie reached out to take his jacket while glancing at his wrist.

Seeing that he was still wearing the same watch as before, Stella Charlie breathed a sigh of relief.

Looking at the food on the dining table, Vincent Warner frowned and asked: "You haven’t eaten yet?"

Stella Charlie smiled: "Waiting to eat with you."

Vincent Warner tenderly reproached her: "Didn’t I tell you to eat first? Aren’t you hungry?"

Stella Charlie laughed: "I’ve already sneaked a few bites."

"Why did you make so many dishes today?"

"Because today is a very special day." Stella Charlie reached out to turn off the lights in the living room and dining room, running into the kitchen: "Wait for me, no peeking!"

Vincent Warner stood in place, curiously peeking towards the kitchen.

Soon enough, he saw Stella Charlie coming out of the kitchen, carrying a cake with numbered candles, sweetly singing: "Happy birthday to you..."

Vincent Warner himself had forgotten about this special day.

At this moment, the light in his eyes was not only from the candle flames but also from the sweet-smiling Stella Charlie amidst the flickering candlelight.

He reached out, took the cake from her hands, and placed it casually on the nearby dining table. freewebnσvel.cѳm

Then he embraced Stella Charlie, holding her tightly and kissed her with deep passion and tenderness.

She was immersed in his embrace, and all her unease vanished at this moment.

"Thank you, Stella."

Stella Charlie, breathless, shyly lowered her head and changed the topic: "The candles are going to burn out, you should make a wish."

"My wish is to always be with you like this."

Stella Charlie grumbled quietly: "It won’t work if you say it out loud."

Vincent Warner laughed, holding her tightly in his arms: "It’s already come true."

Stella Charlie leaned into his embrace, raising her hand to wrap it tightly around his waist.

The word "forever" sounds so beautiful.
