Chapter 869: Chapter 869: Enough
Serena Sullivan finished speaking, and a message appeared on her phone. She glanced at it, then looked up with a smile at Felix Lockwood across from her.
Felix Lockwood gave off a very gentlemanly vibe, perhaps because he had learned calligraphy and painting from Old Master Sullivan since childhood.
No, gentlemanly! That was everyone’s illusion.
This person disguised himself too well.
"Actually, finding out if Uncle Felix has any connection to Miss Monroe is quite simple!"
"A DNA test would suffice." Serena smiled at Felix as she spoke. Her words made Felix’s expression falter for a moment, but the oddity vanished in a blink.
Serena had encountered many people who were two-faced.
Zoe Quinn and Mrs. Kane were like that, too. However, their level was clearly not as high as Felix’s.
This person had built an image over the years of being indifferent, desireless, and infatuated with love, while secretly calculating every step taken by those around him, which was truly terrifying.
"Oh, that’s a good idea."
"Perhaps there’s some connection between us as well, I’d certainly like to know."
He wasn’t afraid, and his face didn’t show the slightest hint of panic.
"Earlier, I took Miss Monroe’s blood." Serena smiled, picking up the conversation, "I wonder if Uncle Felix, hiding in the shadows, noticed that."
Felix smiled, but his mind was in turmoil.
He had seen Serena speaking with Nina Monroe from upstairs and had noticed her wiping Nina’s finger with a tissue but hadn’t paid attention at the time.
Now that Serena had said it, he realized it and understood Renee Grant’s presence here.
"Oh." Felix replied in a drawn-out tone after figuring it out, "So that’s how it is."
"I was wondering how Renee managed to get into the Ford Family’s party and why she immediately pulled Mrs. Kane’s hair upon entering. Turns out, she was helping you."
"But Serena, have you forgotten how she treated you before? Don’t let her harm you!"
Felix smiled and advised, but Serena didn’t see through this person and really thought he was very considerate of her.
Now she just felt Renee was better than him.
"Additionally." Felix smiled as he continued, "You took Miss Monroe’s blood and Mrs. Kane’s hair, which only proves they are related."
"They are originally aunt and niece."
"No, a DNA test can determine if they are mother and daughter."
"Oh." Felix nodded, "I understand now."
"Mrs. Kane really is surprising, having an illegitimate daughter outside and raising her under her brother’s identity."
Felix remarked.
He looked up to see Serena watching him, and continued smiling as he said, "Serena, you wouldn’t need my hair or blood, would you?"
"Sorry, but you can’t get them."
Serena had revealed her plan to him, so he was, of course, prepared.
"Indeed." Serena sighed, standing up to look at the smiling Felix.
"Uncle Felix, I can’t get yours."
Therefore, she hadn’t planned to take them.
"Uncle Felix, I didn’t plan on matching yours with Miss Monroe’s either."
Serena turned to leave, with Felix following her by standing up, his voice finally showing a change.
"What do you mean?"
Serena halted, turning to look back at the slightly tense Felix, curling her lips in a cold sneer, "Sean Lockwood’s, too."
"Sean’s?" Felix paused, "That only proves she is related to The Lockwood Family. Who knows whose it is."
"Enough." Serena replied, "I’ll do a good deed."
"Once the results are out, I’ll send them to Old Master Lockwood."
"How could a Lockwood stray outside like that?"
