Chapter 96: Chapter 96: Reap What You Sow

Smoke signaled trouble on all sides...

After the wind calmed and the rain ceased, Xia Xue’s jade arms wrapped around Wang Hao’s neck.

Her incomparably beautiful face flushed with a touch of red, clearly the sensation she had just experienced was so delightful, unbelievably so.

"Xue’er, I’m exhausted. Could you help me buy some breakfast?"

Wang Hao said with a smile.

Xia Xue replied, got dressed, and went out to buy breakfast for Wang Hao.

Wang Hao then stood up and lit a cigarette, and immediately half of his exhaustion dissipated.

"Hey, Kun, it’s Wang Hao here!"

While smoking, Wang Hao dialed Akun’s phone, his tone filled with a threat.

"Oh, Brother Hao, hello, hello, what do you need?"

The Akun on the other end of the phone became anxious upon hearing Wang Hao’s voice, nearly dropping his phone.

Wang Hao had been particularly ruthless with his move yesterday; that blade almost pierced his own main artery. A millimeter off, and he would’ve been dead already.

And now, with the evidence of his crimes in Wang Hao’s hands, he didn’t even have the courage to complain.

"Kun, someone splashed paint on the facade of my company, wrecking the sign. I need you to come and take a look."

Wang Hao relaxed on the sofa, smoking away with a lift at the corner of his mouth.

"But Brother Hao, I’m still in the hospital!"

Akun looked at his own leg, wrapped tight like a zongzi, and complained with a frown.

"Why don’t I send some of my guys over to deal with it?"

"What do you think?"

Wang Hao’s patience wore thin, and he hung up the phone abruptly.

An hour later, Akun still showed up at Wang Hao’s company, hobbling on his crutch.

Wang Hao was having breakfast when he saw Akun and glanced toward the sign.

"Which blind bastard did this to your company, Brother Hao?"

Akun swore as soon as he saw the paint-drenched sign.

"Brother Hao, just tell me who it was. I’ll cripple him!"

The hefty man behind Akun chimed in.

Wang Hao glanced at them. They had brought over twenty men this time, almost like they were ready for a brawl.

"What is this about? I’m still trying to run a business here. Do you want to scare all my customers away with this commotion?"

Wang Hao scoffed at them.

"Akun, you and your two men stay; the rest of you get lost!"

Akun, thinking there was safety in numbers, hadn’t expected Wang Hao to be unappreciative and hastily dismissed the others.

"It’s alright now, Brother Hao! Rest assured, I will take care of the restoration. I’ll handle everything and as for the troublemaker, once I find him, I’ll kill him!"

Akun’s eyes bulged as he thumped his chest, proclaiming.

"Really? Then go to hell!"

Wang Hao glared menacingly at Akun and spat out a sentence.

Seeing Wang Hao’s vicious look, Akun and the strong man were confused and frightened.

Akun was still pondering why Wang Hao wouldn’t let him off the hook, but remembering he had incriminating evidence in the other man’s hands, he didn’t dare make a sound.

"Brother Hao, look at me, I’m a mess, please let me off the hook."

Akun glanced at his own leg, imploring Wang Hao with a pained expression.

"What? You think I’m wronging you?"

Wang Hao sneered coldly.

Akun was indeed puzzled, but that’s exactly what he thought.

"Let me ask you, don’t you have a guy who calls himself ’Brother Qi’ under you? This is that Brother Qi’s handiwork!"

Wang Hao said furiously.

Upon hearing this, Akun was shocked, internally cursing the blind fool who only knew how to cause trouble for him.

"Da Hai, go find Brother Qi for me!" freewebnøvel.coɱ

Akun said angrily.

"Wait!"

Just as the strong man was about to leave, Wang Hao stopped him and turned to Akun.

"Since you admit it’s your guy, that should be enough. Of course, as their boss, when they mess up, you should take some responsibility, shouldn’t you?"

"Then... Brother Hao, what do you want me to do?"

Akun asked nervously.

"That’s simple. The renovation here will be yours and Da Hai’s job. Both of you will work on it personally, to show your sincerity. And don’t hire anyone else. If you do a good job, I won’t pursue this matter further."

Wang Hao said sternly. freeweɓnovel.cѳm

"What?"

Akun glanced at his leg again and wanted to plead, but seeing Wang Hao’s fierce gaze, he didn’t dare speak.

"No? You’re not willing?"

Wang Hao glared, and Akun along with Da Hai obediently picked up their tools to work, not daring to utter another word.

Wang Hao and Xia Xue sat in the office, supervising the work. Xia Xue watched them working hard without any comment.

It was Wang Hao who periodically found faults; anything that wasn’t to his liking, he would curse vehemently.

Akun and Da Hai felt a deep sense of grievance in their hearts but dared not show it in front of Wang Hao; they kept it bottled up inside.

At the corner across the street, a vagrant in torn jeans saw someone renovating the entrance to Wang Hao’s company and a sly grin appeared on his face.

Then, he turned and ran swiftly toward the Royal Entertainment Club...
