Chapter 101: Chapter 101: The Son of Chen Hongying

Wang Hao grabbed the teenager’s wrist and with a slight force, the teenager yelped in pain and let go, causing the stick to fall to the ground.

"Ah! My hand!"

The teenager cried out in pain, begging Wang Hao with his eyes.

Wang Hao’s eyes were sharp, thinking how a kid so young was forcing the weak to scam money, what would he become when he grew up?

He had to teach this brat a lesson today, otherwise, he would really be too arrogant in the future.

Thus, Wang Hao tossed the teenager to the ground with a flick of his hand, and the kid grimaced in pain.

But the kid was quite clever, seeing that Wang Hao had let go, he quickly scrambled to his feet and tried to escape.

However, how could he possibly be faster than Wang Hao?

Wang Hao reached out and grabbed his clothes, pulling him back with a forceful yank, and the teen fell down again.

This time, Wang Hao stepped on him, wondering how he would try to escape now.

"Long Brother, help me quickly!"

After the teen was caught by Wang Hao and knew he couldn’t escape on his own, he yelled towards the depths of the alleyway.

With his shout, six or seven youths around the same age as Wang Hao rushed out from the alley.

At a glance, Wang Hao noticed each of them had tattoos on their arms or chests, all with the same dragon design, holding weapons and approaching menacingly.

"Which gang are you from? How dare you cause trouble on my turf, do you not want to live, brothers, go!"

Long Brother waved his hand, and his fellows swung their weapons at Wang Hao, their moves vicious and skilled—a sure sign of those frequently involved in fights.

But they had underestimated Wang Hao.

Before they could even reach him, Wang Hao charged forward, leaping up and kicking Long Brother in the face, instantly causing blood to sprout along with two big teeth.

The others didn’t even see what happened before Long Brother was lying on the ground.

With the speed of lightning, Wang Hao snatched a stick from one of them and struck each of them twice on the head.

They all fell down at once.

Actually, Wang Hao had been quite lenient this time, using only two levels of his power. Otherwise, they might have died there today.

But Wang Hao didn’t want to deal with a lawsuit for killing someone, so he had been much gentler today.

Then Wang Hao harshly hit each of their legs with the stick, and in an instant, they all started howling like ghosts and wolves, too pained to stand and only able to crawl on the ground.

The few young onlookers were shivering in fright.

The teen who had beaten the boy was even hiding in the corner, not daring to let out a peep.

"Hao Brother, I have already called the police, they’re coming right now!"

After dealing with them, Qi Shihan ran over from not far off, crouching down to check on the two kids.

When she saw the little girl’s knee, Qi Shihan pulled out a disinfectant wet wipe and a band-aid.

"Bear with it, it might sting a bit!"

Qi Shihan carefully tended to the little girl’s wound.

Watching the little girl clench her teeth and endure the pain, tears swirling in her eyes but not crying out, Wang Hao couldn’t help but feel a twinge of heartache.

"Big Brother, you’re so amazing, can you teach me martial arts?"

The little boy excitedly approached Wang Hao, taking his hand and pleading.

"Why do you want to learn martial arts?"

Wang Hao squatted down, patiently answering.

"Then I can become very strong and protect my little sister from bad people!"

The little boy’s eyes were firm, and though he was only six or seven, it was clear he really wanted to learn.

"Alright, I can teach you!"

Wang Hao agreed without hesitation.

At that moment, the sound of police sirens began to blare, and two uniformed officers stepped out of the car.

"You guys again?"

Looking at the youths wailing on the ground, the lead fat officer frowned and spoke.

Wang Hao noticed the cops recognized these young men, and from their looks, it was apparent the youngsters frequented the police station.

The young men were not scared when they saw the police; instead, they defiantly claimed that Wang Hao intentionally hurt people.

"Did you call the police?"

The fat officer walked up to Wang Hao and Qi Shihan and asked.

"Yes!"

Qi Shihan picked up the little girl, deliberately exposing the little girl’s leg wound for the fat officer to see and said.

"The child is injured, could someone please assist her with that first?"

"Why don’t you all get in my car? We’ll go to the police station together, where there are specialized medical staff to examine her!"

The chubby police officer pointed to his car while addressing Qi Shihan.

Upon arriving at the police station, a few youths began to make a scene.

"You’ve got the wrong people! How many times are you going to falsely accuse us?"

"You inept cops, all you do is bully the common folk. Do you even deserve the title of ’people’s police’?"

Their arrogant behavior was like that of habitual offenders, and they didn’t seem to be the least bit afraid of being charged with a crime.

Wang Hao began to wonder, what made these people so bold and arrogant? Who exactly was backing them up?

"Officer, these youths are too arrogant and high-handed; they don’t take you seriously at all. How can you tolerate this?"

After Wang Hao had given his statement, he asked the chubby police officer, clearly puzzled.

"Haha!"

The officer laughed helplessly before responding.

"These guys have been here quite a few times, but every time, we end up having to release them after just a few hours!"

"Why?"

Wang Hao couldn’t believe it. ƒreewebɳovel.com

"What can we do when their families are so rich? Even if we’re not happy about it, there’s nothing we can do!"

After saying this, the chubby police officer walked away carrying some paperwork.

The more Wang Hao heard, the more confused he became. If their families were so rich, why would they force these two kids to go out and scam money? However, their indifferent attitude hinted at a not-so-simple background.

Now Wang Hao was truly baffled.

The mindset of city people really was unfathomable!

"Their backer has arrived!"

Just as Wang Hao was trying to make sense of it all, a police officer called out.

A middle-aged man, dressed smartly in a suit and glasses, looking very competent, walked into the police station.

Upon entering, the man scanned the people in the station, then fixed his gaze on the chubby police officer next to Wang Hao and walked straight toward them.

"Hello, I am Huang Dingfeng’s lawyer, Qin Xi. Are you in charge of his case?" Qin Xi asked directly. freewebnσvel.cѳm

"Yes, it’s me!"

The officer replied with a displeased face, pulling out a form and tossing it in front of Qin Xi, speaking curtly.

"Go ahead."

The officer’s tone showed obvious disdain for Qin Xi as he handed him a pen and motioned him to fill out the form on the side.

"Hey, who is this Qin Xi? Is he really as wealthy as you say?"

Wang Hao asked, curious.

"You don’t know? He’s the most famous and expensive lawyer in Zao City!"

The chubby police officer next to Wang Hao spoke with an air of mystery.

"What do you mean?"

"Two years ago, in a case, the criminal suspect had already confessed to their crimes and gave a full account of the incident without reservation."

"But during the second trial, Qin Xi got the suspect to recant their confession, defending them as innocent — and he actually won the case! Can you believe it? After that, he became famous overnight, and now it’s very difficult to even hire him."

The officer was growing visibly more agitated as he spoke, balling his fists as if deeply resenting the incident.

"Was the suspect someone you caught?"

Wang Hao asked somewhat offhandedly.

"How did you guess that?"

The police officer looked at Wang Hao in surprise.

"I could tell from how upset you are!"

Wang Hao pursed his lips.

The officer sighed, shook his head, and said nothing more.

Wang Hao took a closer look at this attorney Qin Xi. Despite his clean and sharp dress, there was something sly about his eyes that made him off-putting.

By then, Qin Xi had filled out the form and handed it to the chubby police officer.

Soon after, Qin Xi walked out with Huang Dingfeng...
